I adored the actor playing Adi but now the way character has been shaping up with out any loyalty , morals... I am disgusted.. I find him perm chopra of the show from all aspects now. 🤮🤢

Anu as much as I agree with feeling of jealousy, and anger but physical abuse and assault on imli is something I can’t stand.
Malini as much as I feel for her.... suicide is not the answer.

Yes I watch the show but I cringe every time I turn on this show thinking hopefully will not stoop to new level of assorted madness.

Bold - maybe because Imli has no expectations from Adi - while Adi was brutal with her and even now... when he loves her - she is keeping her suhaag - yes, but moving away sacrificially, acknowledging Malini's 7 years and also remembers with gratitude Malini's support while Adi was brutal. Malini on the other hand - is holding on to something that clearly has gone wrong - with expectations of changing it - which hurts her further. Now the truth is out - she wont leave T house I'm sure. I can feel her pain..just can't relate to how she deals with it.

The sacrificial vs self serving contrast drawn between Imlie and Malini and the deep level connect the makers are showing between Adi and Imlie are the reason some viewers like me are drawn to Adilie. But as you said - we all come from different places and mindsets. Just tried to give my 2 cents to your question.

No I don't see it that way. Imlie did want her relationship with Adi to remain. She didn't sacrifice bcz she cared for Malini. Yes she did care for Malini.....but not as much to give away her husband. I remember her wanting to stop the marriage on the day itself. The reason she couldn't go through it bcz somewhere she knows Adi was forced to marry her and didn't want to acknowledge their relationship . So don't being that self sacrificial thing here. Indian TV show heroines are portrayed as much sacrificial that viewers choose the play blind to the fallacies of the character.

As for Malini........when you know that the truth is going to break not only your heart but your trust and everything you have ever believed in......your subconsciously try to push away that truth father. Just like when someone is about to receive the news of a death.....they know it's coming ......it's inevitable......but they wish it not to be true. The truth will shatter her whole life. So even if she has some idea abt the truth , she isn't ready to hear it yet. Besides unlike us viewers , Malini has no idea abt the marriage. What she is scared to hear is her husband cheated on her wid a girl who calls her sister. If your frnd or sister is the one who steals your man.......you feel betrayed more by the dt person . Hell in Malini's position.......I would hv a hard time trusting any female in my life ever again or trust in any relationship.

You haven't tried to understand where Malini is coming from , so you can never sympatheise wid her........bcz she isn't the lead of the show. So loyal viewers will never put her above and try to understand the position she has been put in.

As for me I don't hate Imlie. From the beginning I hv felt life and Adi hv been unfair to her. I hv never hated her either. I just hv problem wid the pretence of helping someone when deep in your heart you don't want to.

Anyways I think we should end this discussion here. Let's agree to disagree......bcz you won't understand my pov and I certainly don't get yours.

Same here. I adored Adi. I found him so relatable. But now his graph has gone so down. My last straw was him saying Malini is not even his wife. Where was dis when he was eager to get physical wid her . Nice going . For Adi truth gets moulded as per his convenience. Such a selfish character.

Agree with most of what is said on the main post, my friend. Except that it is never my favorite show, just recently came across totally in the fluke. I don't think I would be able to watch for too long, unless they keep up with Malini's character. So far she is the only understandable character in the show for me.

I am not going to lie, Adi guy and young Imli pairing gives me the worst kind of creeps🤢...... like an uncle/niece kind of creeps... and more. I will leave it at that.

Just happened to watch today's show, had to put in my 2 cents here. The whole episode was a grand pity party to Imli with the actions of Anu, running commentary of monologues by Imli. This is what I felt honestly. I am not sure why Imli got praised with folded hands and repentance by Adi guy's dad... because she outed Adi's brother's illness? 3 wickets down. Rupi's barbed taunts at the family, again I have no clue what she has against Malini and family. Looks like 3 wickets down for Team Imlie. They are setting up both the ladies of the house who are mocking Imlie to fall at Imli's feet soon.

And Imli's running monologues are all over the place where she threw herself a grand pity party and took a moral high road. She agonized about vaada's Adi guy forgot ( I thought the vaada's are futile in a forced atrocity )to how he went back to Malini to how the family is striving to bring Adi and Mailini together to how she never claimed her " whatever haq" in order to save Mailini from heartbreak👎🏼. She even packaged atrocities on her and her mother as a generic clash between city bred people and villagers and between rich and poor. I think the writers are trying very hard to disguise the unpalatable Adi, Imli equation as rich/poor class conflict with big bad Anu as a devil to gain all sympathy for Imli. While there may be an undertone of poverty as a flash point, Anu's contention is not JUST that. Is it? It is more to do with her suspicion of having an unwanted interruption in her daughter's marital life.

Also, does Anu know that Imli's mom is Dev guy's fancy several years ago? She talks as if she knows and has an axe to grind against Imli rather than just her unwanted presence in Adi/ Malini's marriage? The physical abuse is just way below the belt that the writers could have done without. Why would Imli take that abuse from a Jane Doe, Anu? If Imli is this fierce, upright character, yadaa, yadaa, yadaa, WHY ? Why does she care to put up with her husband's second wife's😡👎🏼 mom? I hate mouthing this.....🤢

Imli blaming city bred people, rich people for her predicament, another cleverly connived pathos concocted by writers. Blame the two guys and Imli herself for her situation. That sorry dad who acts like a saint, who took responsibility of her now and brought her into his home. Doesn't he know what his wife's behavior is towards Imli? The cowardly lover/husband or whoever, who is claiming great responsibility of her because her amma gave him such responsibility. Doesn't he know how Anu would behave with any intrusions into her daughter's life?

Ewwwww...... Adi guy saying " Imli pehli patni"🤬🤢 very casually with a hint of ridicule against Malini as he says " you are not a wife".👎🏼 Shame on him, shame on makers for bringing this line with that ridicule to a girl who has gone through a well publicized marriage with him. Especially her culprit saying those things to her face with no shame, guilt or remorse as a one upmanship. The guy doesn't even treat her as an acquaintance when he throws that line at her face as a comeback for her threat of " I will drag your behind to court". The guy's behavior is appalling, in a hurry to get rid of her. There is no compassion to what he is putting her through.

I am only interested in how Malini will handle this. If she deals with fury or bitterness, I will understand her completely. More power to her🤗

Especially her culprit saying those things to her face with no shame, guilt or remorse as a one upmanship. The guy doesn't even treat her as an acquaintance when he throws that line at her face as a comeback for her threat of " I will drag your behind to court". The guy's behavior is appalling, in a hurry to get rid of her. There is no compassion to what he is putting her through.

I am only interested in how Malini will handle this. If she deals with fury or bitterness, I will understand her completely. More power to her🤗

LOL - absolutely spot on! I have been shouting about how creepy the relationship between Aditiya and Imlie appears. The uncle/niece analogy is very good!🤣

As for Aditiya's great reveal and attempts at telling Malini the truth - he was disgusting. Almost sneering and smug at the hidden knowledge only he and Imlie have.

Aditiya has found yet another layer of despicable.

Rock on writers- your male lead has no chance of ever achieving redemption.

I hv lost any respect or liking I had left for Adi as a character.

He keeps shifting everything on someone else's shoulders everytime. And man some guys this guy has to tell Malini dt she isn't is wife. Fine you don't love her ,fine you love your second wife and want to live wid her but goddammit you married her willfully and legally. How dare you say she isn't your wife ?!!! Have some character or substance Aditya. Can't believe I liked him so much.

Anyways glad Malini is out of this shit hole and unlike everyone assumed.......she accepted the truth and didn't even blame or got angry on anyone. She can handle the truth. Proven.

I am tired of Imlie's monologues as well. She is deliberately being portrayed as a bechari just for people to hate everyone else. And what's with city breed people nonsense ? Tripathis have so nice to her. They have loved her , cared abt her and been kind to her . But she is so ungrateful. Why does she think they would choose a maid ( however much they like her) over their daughter in law ( who is suffering for no fault of his). Some of the nicest characters on the show are being hated upon bcz of the forced atrocities on Imlie..

And Aditya toh ......I hv lost words for him. He has fallen so much down that I don't think he can ever make it up back. As much as I try to understand the fact that he has fallen for his so called " first wife" but I fail to understand the way he is treating Malini now. You are the reason she is in this position Aditya. Be a man , own upto your mistakes. You destroyed her life single handedly. Not just her life , her trust , her heart , her beliefs..... everything is broken and you are the only reason behind it but instead of showing some remorse.....you telling her she isn't your wife ?!!!!!! Where the hell was this logic when you willfully and eager married her Infront of the whole society. Such cowardly and selfish act. Malini is the only character left that I like now. Inspite of being heart broken , she didn't blame either of the two people who shattered her life. Dts called strength of character which people fail to see.
