Honestly - I am worried seeing Adi and Imlie fight now. He seems so irritated with her- so they do need someone especially to comfort Imlie that things are going to be okay, post AdiNi break And I absolutely would not be able to bear it if Rupi only heard their convo half way and Tripathis think Adi and Imlie are having an affair- The naukrani trying to ensnare the married son-🤢

I am hoping & praying that Rupi Di just takes Imlie under her wings & supports her. I don't know if she will support Adi because of all the mess that he has made but yes eventually I do hope that she supports their relationship.

I think people are really misunderstanding that Imlie’sguilt is only related to Malini Didi. The level of guilt that Imlie feels is due to her truly believing that she is the reason for all the unhappiness that is currently in the lives of Adi, Malini, Tripathis & even Chaturvedis.

Imlie holds herself accountable for bringing trouble in Adi’s life as a whole. Because of her NN’s desire to ruin her life, Adi’s life which was going on smoothly got brutally stormed. He was literally forced to get married to Imlie at gun point without any fault of his. Imlie till the last moments before marriage was trying to devise ways to get help to Adi & she failed & they got married. She already knew that he was in love with Malini & they were planning their wedding. So basically she ruined the happy life that he was living. That is why she was the one who came up with the idea to hide the truth of the marriage so that he can go on living his life as planned.

Once she came to Delhi, she saw his family who were so nice to her & immediately included her into their fold. She met Malini Didi who was also very nice to her. Adi kept on blaming her for the forced marriage in anger & kept on repeating that Malini is his love, his perfect life partner & Imlie would never be his wife. He made Malini the focal point of his happiness in front of Imlie. Also she saw how happy the Tripathis were with Malini being their bahu. So Malini basically became the reason of happiness in the lives of the Tripathi family & especially Adi for Imlie. This is where I think she put Malini Didi on a higher pedestal.

After that she made peace with living a life without the title of a wife but she was happy seeing Adi living a happy life with Didi. She felt that at least she had not ruined the life of Adi, Malini & Tripathis.Her guilt of being the reason for forced marriage decreased.

So now that Adi is pulling away from Malini Didi due to her,she sees Malini Didi being unhappy & equates it to everyone being unhappy.She believes since Didi was the reason for their happiness, if Didi leaves then all the happiness will also leave. Thus ultimately making her believe that she herself is the reason for Didi’s life being ruined along with Adi & his family. She is not able to handle this guilt. Hence her insistence on Adi continuing to stay with Didi & wanting to take herself out of the equation.

Yes, she is not understanding that Adi-Malini will not remain happy if they stay together as Adi has completely detached from Malini & cannot fulfil his responsibilities as a husband. But this is in large part due to her belief & naivety that everything will be fine if they both stay together. Its like she can’t see the larger picture because of her guilt of being the reason of everyone’s unhappiness.

Adi tries to make her understand this simple point but the feelings that she has for Adi make her feel that she can’t trust herself that if she takes the decision of telling the truth then it would be because she is being selfish in grabbing her own happiness. That is why she needs an outside perspective from a genuine well wisher who makes her understand the larger picture that she is currently ignoring.

Exactly how many times have you watched this serial. The way you recounted their whole journey, it has to be at least 10 times. 😆 😊

Imlie blaming herself for coming between Aditya-Malini, agreed.

Imlie thinking Aditya would be happy with Malini if he never knew her, agreed.

Imlie thinking Malini is the only person to bring happiness to T household, agreed.

As audience, we know the above three points are all incorrect, but Imlie does not. So from her character POV, I agree.

But below are the stuff I do not agree on:

1) Imlie does not blame herself for forced marriage and unhappiness in Aditya's life due to the forced marriage. She very clearly told Aditya in their 2nd PD trip when Aditya crossed several limits verbally assuming Imlie wanted to physically get closer to him that it was his fault they got married, not her. That even though she never made him feel so, his decisions that fateful day led to their forced marriage. When Aditya was about to disclose the truth to Nishanth, Imlie did think that does Aditya think that only he got married forcefully? Her guilt has only to do with Aditya's feelings for her, but not for the actual forced marriage.

2) @Sunnygrin1 (to your post on page 8) Imlie does not doubt Aditya's feelings for her. At least the writers have not shown Imlie doubting his feelings yet. The writers have not shown even 1 instance where she is thinking of the scenes where Aditya did PDA with Malini, including the last movie night, in front of her or love-related stuff he said about Malini to Imlie. In fact when Aditya was sick this week, Imlie made it clear that she does not doubt his feelings or his relationship with Malini. Imlie knows Aditya loves her. That is the beauty of their relationship. Being always honest with each other, and Imlie understanding Aditya better than he understands himself, she is clear about his feelings for her.

To me the only thing stopping Imlie from seeing the whole picture that Aditya is trying to tell her is her guilt that his feelings for her are destroying his marriage with Malini. And she is worried about the domino effect the destruction of Aditya-Malini marriage will cause both the households. To me, this is what the writers have shown so far. The story is yet to be told, so let's see if they will delve deeper into Imlie's psyche.

Totally. I think I am willing to just see Sunder in an entire episode with Imlie if it means we will get a little respite from the mess that is seeping everywhere. I hope Rupali hears the whole truth and not just the first half. But I’m keeping my expectations really low.

@bold- 'sigh' me too. If serials could be rated by the number of times scenes were rewatched- I think just my repeated views would tick it up to ten thousand 😆 They are just so awesome together. Yes- I sometimes think that if that PD marriage had not happened- Adi might have gone back and kept looking at her pictures and remembered how cute she was. Prolly further delayed his looming Mun wedding 😆

Aditya was very comfortable around Imlie in the 2 days he spent before forced marriage with her. There was a connection between them. Not love or attraction, just connection. I am sure they had more emotional talks in those 2 days than Aditya had with Malini in 7 years. I have no idea what he was telling Aparna today in flashback about him and Malini talking for hours. 😆 He did not even know who Malini's friends were. But back to PD first trip, Adi gave Imlie a nickname, defended her in front of her nakli nani, was willing to ride the cycle in rainstorm just because he saw tears in her eyes, and one of the most beautiful scenes was when he was enjoying the weather while Imlie was riding the cycle. He definitely would have looked over the photos multiple times after coming back to Delhi and probably even stayed in touch with her and help her settle in Delhi for college if the forced marriage did not take place. But that was not the story, this is. I have enjoyed the journey so far. Bas, thode light episodes mil jaaye ab. 😆

It is embarrassing how many times I have seen that Dil se sequence on Hotstar. I hope no one is keeping track of my views there. 😆

What Imlie told Adi in 2nd PD trip is that she is an equal victim of the forced marriage & in fact she is the one whose whole life has been ruined. Since Adi was continuously blaming her for being the reason for the forced marriage she hit back that if she wants she can also say that it was his fault because of all the reasons she listed to him. She just wanted Adi to acknowledge that she was an equal victim not that she is blameless.

On a general level, both of them know that the forced marriage was not their fault & they were just victims of the circumstances. But Imlie can never forget that it was her own grandma who instigated people against them & forced marriage on them in order to ruin her life & dreams. Adi just was a collateral damage in her NN's plan. So this inherent guilt will always be there in her heart. That is my interpretation.

Malini didi crap is just irritating and i am fed up of Imlie ki mahanta too

Aditya needs to tell imlie ki wo rahe ya jae wapas PD he just dun want to be with Malini and will tell the truth to everyone

I seriously did not like imlie interfering between aparna and aditya .....a son wanted to share something with his mom...imlie should avoid interfering between the two

I agree its her truth too and she has the right to decide with whom she wants to share it and when but aditya has the equal right too na

I know karma is biting Aditya now but frankly i am feeling bad for him these days ....this man also needs some piece of mind and space....imlie has feelings for her babusaheb so she should understand all this mess and things are killing him from inside and she should let him do what is important for his piece of mind and happiness

And about the precap i dun mind rupi di knowing the truth but i just hope she will support imlie
