A lot of what Imlie is thinking about the current plight can be linked to her reaction when the Ts tried to come close to her during yesterday’s confrontation. She did not want her sindoor stained hands smudging their clothes. But in reality it was just a metaphor for how she thinks Aditya’s love for her is tainted to such an extent that the repercussions from that love can tear apart a family that she considers her own. A lot of this is Aditya’s mistake. He used Malini as a shield effectively for so long that when he decided Imlie was actually the right companion, he could not articulate why Malini was wrong.

While we all get frustrated with Imlie’s didi jaap, we should try not to overlook the fact that she is merely 19 although more battle worn than a 90 year old. She has a lot to learn and she will. But right now, she is doing what she thinks needs to be done so that she can sleep at night without any guilt. Sleep that is unfortunately not coming easy.

@bold: Bingo😆....And until he can articulate that, this mess is not going to get resolved.....he needs to figure out how to articulate it both to Imlie as well as his family. Didi ko toh waise bhi kabhi nahin samajh aana koi saamne se bhi bol de toh😆

Also interesting point about Imlie feeling that Adi's love for her is tainted to an extent cuz of the repercussions attached to it.....it definitely does weigh on her cuz of the baggage and fallout attached to it.....she will continue to struggle with it until Adi finds a way to uplift her to acknowledging her right over him and not constantly reducing herself before Malini.

I guess they won't show Adi talking to Mithi even on the phone until he is able to figure out an answer for why he married Malini....😆

While I get ITV may not be fully ready for everything that the story has the potential to entail, they should atleast get audacious with the pockets they can. And Aditya/ Malini’s relationship with all its wrongs has the most promise for that right now which directly also leads to the Aditya/ Imlie love story timeline.

I hope it is the latter part of what you said. If it is all for drama and we get Aditya’s clear cut reflection/ conversation at some point it will all be for good.

LOL I do feel it's the latter too....they are building it up for drama. 😆....cuz all the signs do point towards a confrontation building up about these obvious questions regarding the devolving of Adi-Malini's relationship and why it was always a mismatch.

As they usually do, they will keep the discussions vague until that one big moment of outburst from Adi where he will clear cut say everything😆....that's how it's been for all the high points.

I don't think there is any way around addressing the timeline of how/when Adi fell in love with Imlie....even if the path ran through the period of him having married Malini....lol those difficult questions will have to be addressed. So maybe the writers are taking their time writing that grand speech since it will be a tricky subject to navigate through in terms of wording it from Adi's perspective😆.

Waise on a slightly adjacent note, I kind of love that they are showing a character with that much honesty of emotions on ITV.....most characters find a way to cover up/adjust their emotions in majboori etc....but this guy literally isn't able to evoke token emotions inside himself for someone he married/knew for so long.....I keep remembering the way he said, "humse nahin ho paa raha hai".....that he is now that honest with himself that he cannot bring himself to even put on a token facade.....bahut kam log hote hain duniya mein aise cuz most people manage to put on some level of token response simply out of a need for companionship....isse utna bhi nahin ho raha ab. And again, I'm talking about the present....not the past where he was indeed not being honest to himself or his emotions so he did manage to continue token responses that he didn't really feel for a long time. But in the here and now....the honesty of his emotions is something refreshing to watch for ITV.

Truth revelation might be good for Rupi di's nirvana too in a positive way.A good way for her to realize k it z better to fall out of marriage then be with the person who has fallen for koi aur as in the first case you end up having bitterness while in second all you can end up with is naam ka rishta without love n that is a severe torture than pehla case ;she can relate to self n set herself free from the baggage :)

Great post AY as always. These episodes are draining. They are just stuck in a loop now. Imlie needs to stop being a martyr....oh well what interested me was the precap. Yahan hum log guess marte reh gaye- Will it be Nishant or Aparna- Rupi did baazi maar gayi! Precaps for this show does not show up until the end of the week and also are misleading. But high time someone in Adi's family knows and high time someone understood this situation and the change in the dynamics of relationships. More than that Imlie needs a heart to heart..bas!

Very true....many people choose to find partners in their friends cuz they feel they already have a good basis of friendship to make marriage work. And many of those marriages do and can work out quite well too.

The problem with Adi-Malini isn't that they chose to marry their "best friend"....the problem is that it was never even real basic friendship also to begin with.....actual friends would have known each other better than these two did😆.

Not saying that all marriages based on friendship work out....it depends on the kind of friendship the people in question share to see if it can actually translate it into a successful marriage. Otherwise yes, that chance always remains ki shaadi ki chakkar mein you might even end up losing a good friend whom you otherwise might have been able to sustain friendship with. Marriage is a whole other animal that needs understanding /communication along with friendship.....not every friendship has that kind of understanding in it by default.

As you said, many times, even a friendship is built around convenience ki saath hang out kar liya, fun kar liya toh life aise hi mast kaat lenge😆.....marriage requires a different level of investment in it than a friendship.

In Adi's case, the issue is more that he's realizing he didn't know himself for so long and didn't realize that he needs more than a comfort/convenience wala rishta to be happy in life.....in Imlie, he's discovered love that makes him feel alive like he's never felt before....so how do you go back to just "existing" in convenience when you realize the sheer life that love breathes into you?

There is nothing else to show in the story to fill up time till the end of the week😆....yeh scene kal hi aayega cuz an Adi-Imlie convo anyways is pending in the aftermath of Malini leaving the house.

Yes, in the long term this will definitely help Rupi reconcile with her own failed marriage as well. But abhi short term mein pata nahin kya reaction degi 😆....and who she will blame for the situation. Lol

AY I am hoping against all odds that the shift in the dynamics you are talking about is Rupi understanding Imlie . 😭. Everyone is drained and Rupi misunderstanding will just add to it .. let’s see what we get today 😄
