Even back at 2011 , when Ishti Kutum , a Bengali show , went the EMA way , the blow up was so high that it is still talked about. It is probably the most outraged and outcried track of Bengali tv history. The ML was bashed in a way that was unimaginable and unprecedented in all social media handles available back then.

And this is 2020 and this is a pan India show.

Exactly my point....bravo....it will be really horrible and disgusting to see that. There will be huge outcry against this.

Remember what happened with dhrasti's show where she slept with her best friend's husband. She left the show due to backlash.

People are expecting that marriage will not take place and if it will then they expect Imlie to move on and find happiness. Kuch kuch hota hai type ending will be a disaster too but it's bearable but this won't be accepted by anyone.

Kuch bhi chalane se chal nehi jata. No body will give a shit if they tried to show ML FL lovr story after ML is married to another woman, her sister no less. ITV viewers love drama but they're also extremely conservative. This is not American audiences we are talking about.

Which is why CVs of our tv shows are usually very careful about not crossing that line. They know what marriage means for the trp giving junta. They can only digest polygamy in mythological shows. 😆

as long as this show gets TRP, Gul will stick with her plan which is kinda obvious to me now with her statement - "The hero is married to one girl and loves another. I know you have heard and seen this before, many times, but we’ll play it more real,” Gul promises.

She absolutely plans to show the EMA. And the show till now is getting people interested in the drama. I am pretty sure Adi's second marriage will get huge TRP as well, no matter how much bashing Adi or writers or Star Plus gets.

I admit it's not appropriate content for the primetime slot but it seems to be working for now. Let's see what happens after the marriage.

That is what I'm saying. In Silsila, not just DD had to leave because of bashing and outcry , ultimately Shakti also became 2nd lead in his own show.😋 And the FL Mouli rejected him in the end 😎and married the other guy. 😆So this is what will happen here too. 😛

in Ye Rishta kya kehelata hai Rajan Sahi dipped his toe in the murky water of ML marrying another girl ( though the marriage was never shown) and the water became so scalding that his feet got burnt and the track was resolved. 😆

That was different bcoz Drishti's character was legit married to another man. That's why people couldn't digest the EMA.

Here Adi is actually married to Imlie so they will show it more as a first wife & second wife thing, instead of a proper EMA.

EMA & sister drama will be reserved for Adi & Imlie bcoz 1) source material from original show 2) Gul likes to show some real messed up relationships in her shows 3) "hero married to one girl & in love with another" is basically how she described this show (lol funny how she didn't say it's a women empowerment show or a story about a young village girl finding her path 🤪)

Gul also said there are no negative characters in this show & she'll show this love triangle in a "real" way 🤔

Which basically means she's never shown EMA or any sister sacrifice drama . Yeah , that's what I thought. 😆

And by disastrous I mean ratings only. Sky high to shadi track tak rahega jab tak logo ka umeed bana rahega , uske bad . .. the higher the rise the greater the fall. 😆

That's still cheating, sleeping with two women at the same time is morally wrong. And two marriages are not legal. Adi is just being stupid. That's why I don't think he will do EMA. all the scenes which included adi and Imlie romantic moments were cut from the show. Also new lead is from Malini's side so I think either sunder or he will be her new hero.
