Wanted to remember some good things,,...

the chemistry between SP and HC was magic, every scene between both has hypnotized me. i forgot everything when watched HS, hubby, children, worries... HS was my little parenthesis, 20 minutes that i gave myself every end of day.

Before i didn't know HC, without be a fan, i'm impressed by his talent. and SP is so fresh... wish them the better ! If they come back with another show i'll certainly watch it... hope together but i know it's a dream...

anyway, bravo girls ! i always had fun to read you sush even if i didn't comment your posts. And Shweta your collages have always perfectly illustrate post of jyoti and sush, very good job !

I hav already written a lot about the serial so I am at my wits end now that the serial is finally approaching closure. I feel sad for the technicians/assistants who may be out of work or may not get their dues (Godrej sponsor in between - was there lack of funds with the PH??). About the ace actors in this show, am sure they will find their next venture very soon! Touch wood!

I thought it best to ask few questions and then find answers :

1. Why did I watch the show Humsafars?

I liked the arrogant and bearded look of the lead protagonist. Deep set eyes, hairstyle, brooding look, very different from the usual clean shaven heroes that you see on the big screen. The tagline was also interesting - two opposites - love story - muslim backdrop -fashion world, all looked very intriguing. "Thoda hatke!!" 😃 So I watched and was fascinated. The female protagonist looked simple and sweet. So I waited to see how the opposites attract. 😃😃

2. The most loved scene (s). Which was it?

a) I hav been surrounded by arrogant men in the corporate world. As the years go by, you learn to deal with it and also end up making great friends with the same people. I believe its your positive outlook and nature and intelligence that can change things around you. So my best scene was when Saahir tells Aarzoo," ...Kal se yeh tent pehenke mat aana. Salah nahin order hain" and her classic, unflinching retort,"...Humein apna libaas badalne ki zaroorat nahin hain. Aapko apni soch badalne ki zaroorat hain. Order nahin, salah hain!!" Saahir's shock at hearing this (how dare she? type look) it was clap worthy. 👏👏👏

b) The door opening scene where Saahir calls Aarzoo and she thinks its for some discussion, but after she opens the door, he just struts off arrogantly w/out a backward glance leaving her high and dry.

c) When Saahir goes to meet a sleeping Aarzoo after the molestation incident. It was touching.

d) When Saahir pleads with Alvira to make Aarzoo stay back at Niyamat House. I felt sad.

I hav lost count...

3. Which dialogue did you love the most?

There were many. The airplane meeting, (I didn't know that ignoring someone is such a big crime!) 😃, the monologues by both the leads, the "Chand" dialogues /shayaris, Dialogues with Asharfi, Saahir's threat, His jealously and dialogues with Zaks /Rehmaan, all are noteworthy.

4. Did you like the pairing? Would you like to see them again on screen someday?

The pairing is the PH/ Creatives or Directors choice. Here the chemistry was good. Shivya was lucky to hav kicked off her maiden venture with an experienced actor. Hmm...I don't know. Now the trend is to hav "anokha" pairings - the latest is Deepika and Irrfan Khan. I always like something different. 😊

5. How would you like the story to end?

Saahir can give up Saiyyara and Niyamat House to their rightful owners and walk away with Aarzoo in hand to a new sunrise. With his contacts, hard work, business acumen and Aarzoo's designerbaaz confidence, they can start afresh. All the ghosts of the past can be left behind as they begin a new life as "Humsafars".

6. Will you watch "Humsafars" again if there is repeat telecast on some other Channel?

Nope. As a viewer, for me, the story ends next week and I don't know how it will end. There were too many faults in this show - be it storyline, continuity, consistency, editing, direction. The viewers forgave the PH and I hope Gul Khan is learning from her mistakes.

My takeaways :

• Background score : Brilliant. It was refreshing and soothing. Raju Singh deserves a thundering applause. 👏👏👏👏
• The Forum and Forumites : Delightful, addictive, insightful and true-blue fans of Harshad Chopda. I was truly amazed at the fandom here. For someone like me, who is an avid movie goer and can talk about cinema for days together, but doesn't bother to take an autograph or follow any celebrities on Twitter /FB, this forum was an eye-opener. I was stumped at the humour unleashed here, the frankness, honesty and ranting at every episode. I realized that Harshad Chopda is something BIG, so didn't dare to criticize him. 😃😃 For the unassuming, selfless, loving and praiseworthy fans of Harshad Chopda in this forum - Take a bow.

That's it from me.

Wait..This is about what I liked in HS...😆

I loved the characterisation👏...Of every single character...👏 Not one gave me room for complaint. Not even Nausheen...who is the weakest woman Gul will ever write, I guess...

Of course, SAC stood the tallest amongst all the characters...👏..Kudos to the actor and the team who wrote him(The 40 people Barun mentioned.😉.)..and the creator who was hardly around...🤔😆

Quite frankly, I started watching HS for the writer who has given amazing characters...I knew she wouldn't fail this time too😳😡...She proved me right.👍🏼

The leads and the chemistry- the signature of the Lions.👏

So, what went wrong?

I think everyone has a lesson to learn here.

The channel: Sony has seriously deteriorated over the past two years. Even IKNMP is nowhere close to BALH. Daddy with Ram Kapoor should work, because it is a universal theme that everyone can relate to. I fail to understand the think tank of this channel that believes shows like HS and TAHR (The ghost show that comes after HS) will get them trps in the 8-9 slot. A show like HS cannot be appreciated by the average viewer who sits down for some gossipy entertainment...a serious love story is not what they are looking out for...and definitely not a whodunnit drama too. The viewer who can appreciate it is getting home from work or preparing dinner or teaching her kids or gearing up for studies at the time. I doubt the replacement show is going to work too, unless it is some mindless comical romance like KKB🥱... I hope the PR department of the channel has enough sense to give a month or so before the show closes down, since they have been giving out false hopes until two days back.🤔

The PH: It definitely was not a half - hearted effort...Can't say they went all out too...At least not in the beginning...Even then, the pace and presentation was better than what we get as our staple diet.

I think it is high time Gul shifted to limited episodes where she can create masterpieces...because she definitely is a creative powerhouse...Her team is good...Could work wonders with the limited format...

U mentioned right that everything is a learning experience- I hope Gul learns it fast that she can do justice to her talent by sticking to the limited thing.

Me, the viewer: From a non- telly person who yawned through some three months of IPKKND as I shifted channels to catch up on some interesting Sony shows on my free afternoons, I have come a long way. Some of it has been a waste of time.I stumbled on this forum when IPKKND fever gripped me enough to search for the scripts of the episodes I had missed...Hadn't even known then that the past episodes could be viewed online. But the ride has been good and there are no regrets...I can never deny that this PH's shows have been good stress busters for me and it is interesting to watch their growth chart. HS was only the second best running show for me. So.. speaking as a true blue QH fan...😳

This show had some great moments.👏

I loved interacting with U guys...🤗I really hope we have this pleasure in some other forum, some time soon.😳

HS fans should be thankful that they don't have to endure a Tanveer (Zeenat) through 600 episodes or spend sleepless nights aching at a Rehaan put to rest( Zaki)...

HC is the luckiest actor to have worked with this PH- He did not have to sit idle and be another living prop that an equally good actor (if not greater, since I am very partial to Aahil😳) is being ordained to.👍🏼

On the whole...Picture abhi baaki hai.😊 I hope HC gets to work again with Gul soon.

i am sure your all going to laugh at me but i haven't had a good start to firiday!! So here it goes -

I couldn't log in to my work laptop, then forgot my daughter's bag when i went to drop her off at nursery. Had to drive back to get that again and then drop her off again. She must think Mummy is one looney who cannot get her act together. I forgot to buy a valentines card for my husband 😆 So had to rush to a card store to get that.

I burnt 2 pieces of toast, then almost burned another two and finally i cleaned the second set of burnt toast and ate breakfast. The best is i also made two teas as well. First tea was left untouched in a hurry in the morning and the second tea was almost cold again! Its been a rough start to the day! 😆 Not sure what more I will end up burning or not eating today. Thought everyone who is feeling down can laugh at my expense!

Now coming to the show and what has worked for me with HS -

-First and foremost is Sushpectives!!!!! 🤗 Its because of Sushpectives i made a username and met some amazing people here and hope to keep this friendship going forward. I haven't regretted anything about this decision.

I will miss each and everyone here and their writing. Its been truly a wonderful journey and i hope to see most of you in a new forum.

-Harshard Chopda, and the entire cast and crew. Even KA i managed to miss her OTT sometimes. I really like Daadi and wished she was there till the end. Harshad is a phenomenal actor and he has really emerged as a strong actor since i watched him last in Tere liye. He deserves accolades of appreciation for portraying sahir. Shivya as a newcomer was also very good.

-My two fav scenes are the airplane meeting of Sahir and Arzoo for the first time as so many people have mentioned and the car driving scene where Daadi is on the phone and both Arzoo and Sahir get embarassed when Daadi says sahir is a very good looking dude and Arzoo needs to control her emotions 😆

-All the romantic scenes were also very well done. I really like them prior to the marriage where it was more subtle and sweet. Post marriage they have had sizzling chemistry but for me prior to marriage scenes were amazing

-I really enjoy Lalit mohan's directing. The episodes he directed stand out remarkably. His Midas touch has been truly missed.

To the entire cast and crew of HS, kudos for giving us a great show. Good luck to everyone and as the French say - Au Revoir!

Sush it's ending on 27 feb writer confirmed only for a week Hs will have different slot .
So we have 2 weeks .

I would appreciate harshad chopda the perfectionist who lived sahir azim choudary he brought sahir alive even though the script was weird but with his charm he made us love sahir hats off to harshad chopda the magicine who did magic and grabbed the attention towards him and made a place in our hearts .
Next I would say alvira is the character which I loved because she is a mystery till now and vibhaji acted so well .

Next shivya even though she is raw in terms of acting she did her best infact she improved a lot and made arzoo alive to .
But I must say her chemistry with harshad will never be forgotten it was magical both onscreen and offscreen masti too .

2 character which was responsible for trp fall off .
No offense to actor they are good but as character irritating much -/
Zaki next character I used to like but they ruined with triangle that's when show kept on slipping .

Kurti appa too much of screen space from jan and feb made the show fall ( no offense) she is sec character which made trp slip off the chart too much of her in the show made ppl bored .

I would like to blame ph for being careless when deadline was for March they never tried to mend it .
See this week episode u will know they had potential but they were least bothered .
Lalit sir director was pulled off to new project ( always gul does that ) why time slot should be given to Ekta they could have faught but they did charity there .
At one point trp was 1 of Hs and change in slot started off dipping time to time .
Enough ranted final statement we will miss sahir saaz and harshad chopda .

REgarding your take aways...

I want to be absolutely clear that I am NO ACTORs fan, have never been, I doubt will ever be...I like certain characters and apllaud certain talents in certain actors...But thats where I stop...I do not follow any actor in their shows, social media accounts, or even in off screen gossip...so certainly dont fit the bill you have mentioned.

In fact some people can remember politely correcting me when I kept referring to the male lead as Harshad Arora instaed of Harshad Chopda in the beginning of the show...as I hadnt seen HC before this show...and didnt know who he was...😆
