I don't understand this misguided sense of "duty" that Rishi and Indira both seem to suffer from.
Indira wants to be responsible for a bunch of parasites who are money minded and will ditch her without a second thought. The only person who seems to have some sort of conscience is Munna. Ironically.
Rishi thinks he should protect his father-in-law at the expense of his own reputation. Wonder what he was thinking when he admitted to molesting the girl.
The one big question I have is: is Indira equipped to dole out "justice"? The problem in Hitler ki Adaalat is that Hitler is everything. She is the judge and she is the prosecution. In a situation like the one in today's episode, there is no proper investigation or defense. She asks Rishi, "Did you do it?" He nods and she believes him. Of course, this is not a real court and the ilzaams and the insaafs are equally laughable. But if the idea is to emulate a real court of law, then even seasoned criminals are granted a fair trial. Mass murderers have defense lawyers. Another thing is that it is routinely made out as though Indira is reacting to Meher (or someone else's barbs) rather than using her own judgement. Why?
Indira starts whipping herself so that she can punish Rishi 1000 times more intensely. Indu rushes in between and shows Rishi a report confirming Indira's pregnancy. In the middle of all that cacophony, Indira and Rishi share the first joy of parenthood. I was half expecting Indira to express regret that she is going to give birth to the child of an offender. But instead, Rishi does the first sensible thing in today's epi. Asks the slimy Inder Sharma to confess. Of course, it is too late. The Sharma Family comes to Inder's rescue and tomorrow, we see Rishi get arrested. Why did he need to protect Inder in the first place??
Anyway, this also confirms that Inshi, at its core, is weak. Tomorrow, I know she will bail him out and they will reunite and whatever else. But it will have no meaning (for me at least). Because if we love someone and know them well enough (father, husband, brother, cousin, neighbour), then we know that there are certain things that the person is just incapable of. Whatever anyone says is not good enough to shake that type of faith. This seems to be missing in Inshi. They will remain together till death do them part, but if this is how its going to be, then I wonder about the point of it all.
