Celebration thread for HD's nominations

OK yesterday our happiness at Sumit and Smits's nomination was clouded by Rati's lack of nomination. We were disappointed. Yesterday we were all focused on disappointments. Time to focus on joy now.

The fact that Sumit's acting was appreciated to a level of securing nomination should make us very happy, especially given our insecurities of him. Smita in her earthy acting, has brought many joys in our life.

So, how about a celebration of all HD. Lets state which scens or acts of each of HD's main characters has brought us joy, and we loved the most, or the scene that first attracted us to HD

My favorite scene for Munna, the one that I really appreciated Sandeep's acting, was the one where he went to jail after hitting Sameer. Specifically it was his delivery of the song "kar challe hum fida janu tan sathiyo, ab tumhare hawale watan sathiyo"

Now this song is an iconic one and it's tune is such that I could not belive (and still cannot) that it could be delivered in a comic context with a straight face. Sandeep did that.

And I love him for that

Munna and Sunaina

The one where she slaps him when he thinks he is dreaming seeing Indira sing, and asks her to slap him awake. And she does that. His response with a straight face was amazing

Rishi and Indira

First scene that I saw of HD was the one where Indira had walked away from her family and Rishi had chased her. And the end of that whole drama, we had Rishi and Indira on a darkened street, and Rishi is asking her to come back.

That was my introduction to Rishi and Indira. I was mightily curious about them but life intervened and I did not get a chance to watch them till January.

that scene is imprinted on my brain and I love it

Common guys.

Can we not muster basic enthusiasm for our team and celebrate their recognition (unacknowledged and acknowledged)

If someone came to our forum, it would appear we are all in mourning ...or... masochistic delighting in pain

Ratians hate Sumit and me, so they won't comment on this thread.

What a wonderful crowd we are. A real joy to meet such delightfully truthful and mature personalities

not really. If Sumit was not nominated and Rati was, then similarily you would have had one group alone participating in that joy...

Anyways, I am part of your joy and happiness. I hope he wins, but I lost the faith in this award system. I am not sure if Sumit is going to win, but nevertheless my best wishes for him to win!!!

Mahesh, with the exception of a few, majority of Sumitians are fans of Rati. If Rati had been nominated, we and I would have joined in the celebrations. As it is, many, amny Sumitians ahve expressed disappointment at Rati not being nominated when they frist found out about nominations

Secondly, if you notice, there is not a singe thread on Sumit's nomination, especially considering how his acting or lack of it has been a daily fodder for less then stellar comments. every tom, dick and harry has been considered to be better than him. For Sumit to secure nomination is a a big deal.

But most importantly, this thread celebrates all of HD, not just Sumit. Even you bypassed the whole concept of the thread - i.e. celebrate all characters😭

So where does it leave Ratians who hate all things Sumit?

And I will say, can you imagine the atmosphere here if Rati had been nominated. We would have been jubilant and the forum would have been alive with threads on her and her only.

I was not able to watch Hd regularly in nov-dec bcz of my exams. After my exams got over the 1st scene of Hd i watched is that Inshi in diwan house...I loved that scene so much😍 & started to love inshi & Rasu,too.😳 Then i saw all the episode till that day on net. &after that i become the regular veiwer of Hd.😊
Congratulations to Sumit & Smita for nominations...My Wish & hope & prayers are with both of them that they both win the awards..😛

love the thread, jem! all the characters, positive, negative and with their flaws and plus points are worth celebrating!! :) and what can I say about Inshi, these two characters have made a special place in my heart 😍
