You are right Jem, I don't deny what you have said and I completely agree even I am guilty of bypassing as you mentioned.
Mahesh, with the exception of a few, majority of Sumitians are fans of Rati. If Rati had been nominated, we and I would have joined in the celebrations. As it is, many, amny Sumitians ahve expressed disappointment at Rati not being nominated when they frist found out about nominationsSecondly, if you notice, there is not a singe thread on Sumit's nomination, especially considering how his acting or lack of it has been a daily fodder for less then stellar comments. every tom, dick and harry has been considered to be better than him. For Sumit to secure nomination is a a big deal.But most importantly, this thread celebrates all of HD, not just Sumit. Even you bypassed the whole concept of the thread - i.e. celebrate all characters😭So where does it leave Ratians who hate all things Sumit?And I will say, can you imagine the atmosphere here if Rati had been nominated. We would have been jubilant and the forum would have been alive with threads on her and her only.
Actually, I have lost bit of enthusiasm both with HD and in the forum. There are certain things which puts him off from the show and some in the forum, I am have not been in that mood to really celebrate or discuss anything pertaining to HD or its characters of late.
I do accept that Sumit nomination is something to be happy of and celebrate because when I joined the forum, he was severely criticized for various things including acting and he has made enough progress to warrant a nomination, i am happy for it.
In the initial days, I was running around defending and fighting with all those prominent Rati/mayur fans for Sumit, but things have changed and he has a following and I am considered now a anti-Sumit fan, so if even I whole heartedly praise, that would look fake for many.
In any case, I have already wished Sumit all the best and I also wish Smrita good luck and hope they do bring some laurels to the HD team! and thanks for highligthing.
