I could not keep myself away from HD today until evening because of yesterday's emotional episode and the much in need of solace, Mr. Kirayedaar aka Ricky Diwan. So as soon as the video link was up I watched the epi in one go.
Yesterday I was not sympathetic towards Ricky because the course of action he planned so far lead to this day. But today this guy stole all the sympathy, solace and admiration for him.
We always knew Indira selflessly strived for her family. Though she claimed she never expected anything from them somewhere down the heart she wanted to be acknowledged and supported by them. She was upset with her father for ditching them and running away from his responsibilities but atleast she had some pleasant memories to look back, to have expectations.
However, that was not the case for Ricky. He was tormented by his family for his desire and attitude towards life without even bothering how he felt about it. Initially I disapproved his action of getting fake parents. I was wondering how could this guy treat such a serious situation so playfully. Even yesterday when his real mom showed up, he was surprised and shocked. His expressions gave wrong message that he was scared about the blowing off his cover. But today his explanation cleared all his actions. He was not worried about how his identity will be presented but he was reminded of his bitter identity, of his background where people consider their status more important than a person. The true meaning of his request to his mom yesterday was conveyed today. He respects her for being his mother but disapproves her affection which is just out of concern of getting their status tarnished.
I am amazed that inspite of such a past how could he still be so jovial? But I find my answer in this saying, "you are filled with love when you love, rather than when you are loved". All his shayari's in introductory episodes were so apt. Also, I am sure many questions raised in the forum so far about Ricky's profession, dependency on his family, etc. were answered.
When Sameer started to narrate his version of Ricky's presence in Sharma Niwas, I was wondering why he is still quite? Why he does not present his version before the damage is done? But he intended to keep quiet. Ofcourse he voiced his disapproval but not strongly. He accepted the consequences of his action and strongly believed that his Makan-Malkinji will definitely consider his side of story. So far we all questioned his love for her, but today he proved that he truly loves her and has full faith in her wisdom. Instead of explaining himself at that very moment, he allowed her to make decision. I still remember when he mockingly told Indira over cell, "Kissi apne ke pyaar ki bhook aur pyaas mujhe hai". It sounded so cliched and humorous, though it was the truth. The love and care he always desired for, he found it in SN . And to sustain it, he decided to stay back and by explaining himself to Indira later in the Barsaati.
The epitome of his love was displayed when he accepted in his monologue that only thing that he is hiding at this point is about Vidhit and would not mind losing Indira once that truth is also out. He is willingly putting himself at stake just for the happiness that Indira deserves. He truly understands the significance of happiness and love.
The whole episode was highly emotional to me and I was very much moved by SV's acting. At this moment my mind is experiencing commotion of thoughts and I can go on and on about Ricky's character, but I would prefer stopping.
Coming on to precap, I don't mind Indira throwing out Ricky. Right now, she can only see Ricky in terms of picture painted by Sameer. So to separate real Ricky from this ugly picture, she needs to aware herself of her experiences with Ricky and his explanation. And for this awareness she needs to be alone. I am sure Ricky's sincere efforts will be answered. He once mentioned, "Malik ke bina koi kirayedaar kaise reh sakta hai?", where Malik was in reference to God. Similarly, I would say, "Kissi bhi kirayedaar ke bina Malik bhi nahi reh sakta".
