The title of this post itself sums up what todays episode was all about. HD is known for its subtleties...each character lends even the most common lines & dialogues a very special touch to make it character - specific. the same happened today.

i had dreaded indus reaction when sam comes to poison her ears. but i was surprised when instead of the expected screaming i found her searching rishis eyes for a reason. she had every reason to insult him today...but again she didnt...she asked sam & simi to leave...n in not asking rishi to leave with them she proved that he is different for her inspite of all his wrong doings...in a simple act she offers him a lot of respect by not clubbing him with them. also, she isnt shown obsessing much over whether rishi loves her or is with her for her property...somewhere at the back of her mind she is very much assured of the knowledge that this guy is crazy for her...n i liked this...no outsider can create problems between them by raising doubts abt their intentions or love in each others minds

i had been disappointed when rishi got those fake parents. but then seeing his real family...i guess it was OK! who wants to be related to such people anyways! i had hoped for his mom to be normal but guess hoping for normalcy is like asking too much in HD 😆

the throwing of colours & sketches & then taping the ball to rishis hands scenes made me shiver. all the while i was like...spare him plz...he is just a kid. but i feel it is this kind of treatment in his childhood is what make ricky what he is today. this is what makes him understand indus pain even when she never puts it into words.

both rishi & indu had troubled pasts. but indu atleast had a distant hope in the form of vidhit. they both have grown up in similar situations. one uses anger as a shield & the other uses humor to mask their pain.

n yeah the monologue part is so true. he doesnt care if he is left all alone in the end as long as his MMG is kept away from unnecessary pain for as long as is possible for him. i just dread to see the day if at all such a thing happens n indu finds it impossible to forgive rishi for watever reason.

i had read a sher a while back which i find so much suitable for Rishi today:

Wo samajhte hai hame aadat hai muskurane ki
Par wo naadan kya jaane...ye bhi ek adaa hai ghum chupane ki!

Waow!! what a reply!! 👏 Now this makes whole thing interesting 👍🏼.
Honestly, so far I never felt that Rishi had a troubled past. Who does not have difference of opinion with their family? So his pranks, immature behaviour were just a part of his personality to me. For me the only thing troubling him was hiding Vidhit's matter from Indira and her family. But my visualization of character was questioned when he confesses his love to Indira and then laughs it off as a prank. I really don't know how the actors are briefed about character and enacting certain emotions, but in that particular scene, SV enacted that fake laugh so well as if he knew what he would be enacting later after 4-5 weeks. Because that fake laughter of Rishi/Ricky gave me weird feeling, as if he was badly hurt and trying to cover up. And today when Ricky explains his background and childhood I immediately remembered that disturbed and hurt face of Rishi when Indira was rebuking his proposal. There is such a perfect continuity in SV's expression that when you go back and forth you can justify Ricky/Rishi's actions and emotions.

And as far as Ricky's attitude is concerned ... hats off to it! I don't think he is trying to hide his pain but trying to get the love he deserves by spreading love with ultra-super confidence. This character is just adorable!!

Such a nice analyis Nels! 😃

I really don't know what i could add more, was such an emotional episode. A part which i really liked was when Rishi was narrating his story/past, she stopped packing his things was listening to him. But when he turned around to see her, she turned away to the other side. That particular scene said alot, awww feel so bad for both of them!

If anyone is meant to understand Indira, it could be Rishi only and vice versa. Now i feel like wanting them to be together forever!

Those last sentences: I feel the same way, Gunz. They've been subjected to similar situations since childhood and from Indira obviously was impacted by what Rishi was saying because she has experienced abandonment and neglect like he has...One of the main differences in their reactions to their families is that while Ricky physically left the Diwans in search of happiness while trying to share happiness at the same time, Indira stayed with the Sharmas out of duty and her love for Vidit Bhaiyya (I'm sure she wouldn't have left him). The way that Ricky and Indira responded emotionally to their experiences was also completely different, but at the center of it all, both want to be appreciated and loved for who they are as human beings - which was something I liked about Rishi's monologue today also. His words resonated with Indira...
@bold: I LOVED that part!!! She stopped, walked around to stand near him, watched him as she listened to him...but as soon as he started to turn to look at her, she immediately turned away! I noticed that she was making a point not to look at him throughout most of the end of the episode, and also during the precap for tomorrow...She drags him to the door, pushes him outside, throws his stuff outside, and moves to shut the door...but she stops...and brings her eyes up to look at him...The tears glistening in her eyes say much more than words could have expressed. That brief moment of them looking at each other across the threshold before her expression hardens and she slams the door...that was a moment I know I'm going to love in the actual episode. And Indira's reaction after she closes the outer door and is standing in front of the inner door...She looks so pained...But I'll wait until the episode tomorrow to get a clearer picture of her feelings at that point.

Wonderful post Nels !
Today's episode really had an impact on me. I usually have a control of my tears, but today I just had to let it flow. Maybe because I saw a part of myself in these characters today, especially Ricky.
I didn't really think that Ricky's childhood would be like this. Up until now, the audience have always seen him as a happy guy, who's trying to brighten the atmosphere around him. But today he connected a lot of things together by explaining how his childhood was. He went through a lot of pain, but after a while he suppressed his feelings and put on a carefree, jovial avatar. After meeting Indira, he tried to relieve her of what she had been through and tried to make her smile. And now I can see that it wasn't Rishi, but it was actually Ricky who was trying to protect Indira all this time. Though he acts very immature at times, deep down he does have his priorities set and knows what he's getting into.
Like Gunz said, I also loved that scene where Ricky was telling Indira his childhood while she was packing his clothes. It was so evident that she felt the sorrow in what he was telling her. But by not making eye contact with him, she held onto herself and did not want to give in easily. And that makes perfect sense from her POV. However, Indira's not stupid. Though she's disappointed with his lie at the moment, she'll see through it eventually.

@ Nel - Well done Nel. Excellent post ⭐️ 👏

@ All - And excellent comments 👏

Keep up the great work 👍🏼

After reading your post and comments I am really looking forward to watch this episode tomorrow. 😃

Quote Nel

"I was not sympathetic towards Ricky
because the course of action he planned so far
lead to this day"

👍🏼 Correct, I felt the same. If he told Indira 😳 about his true identity before Sameer it would have been easier to digest 😊

SV 😍 acting was fantastic ⭐️ 👏

Quote lolahardy

"indus reaction when sam comes to
poison her ears"

I am very happy 😃 to hear how Indira 😳 handled this situation 👍🏼
I expected nothing else. 😊

Quote Nel

"she can only see Ricky in terms of picture painted by Sameer"

One thing I noticed is Indira 😳 dislike for the name "Diwan"

What's in a name? - Shakespeare (Romeo & Juliet)

A name does not define an individuals character.

Time apart will definitely make Indira 😳 realise how different Rishi 😍 is from his family. All his efforts won't go to waste. 😊

Regarding Precap

Just seem precap 😭

There has been two situations already where Rishi 😍 was about to leave SN. And ended up still staying.

Will this Precap also be one of them ❓

Looking at Indira 😭 🥺 and Rishi 😭 🥺face. 😭

Looking forward to see another emotional episode 😳

Gunz and Supersool3,

Yes, that last part was very emotional. However, I don't know why but Indira's reaction was more like of anguished for being fed with yet another lie. To me her expressions conveyed as if she considered it all fake and was not willing to accept or respond to it. As you both mentioned, may be her anger did not allow her to meet his eyes.

For me the most disturbing part was pleading Ricky who was requesting her to believe and give another chance. When he said she can punish him, it reminded me of young Ricky pleading his dad not to burn his painting. For a moment he was that kid who did not want to loose his most precious possession and was willing to accept any punishment to stay close to it. That childish innocence was very well brought out by SV and at the same time made the whole scene even more heartwrenching.

@MEHNAAZ: Yes, precap is saddening but both Indira and Rishi are in need of this separation. This momentary distance will help to put the chaos, they faced, to rest and allow Indira to see who exactly is Ricky Diwan. I understand she hates the name "Diwan" and there are valid reasons for that. But she does not hates Ricky for being Diwan. She is upset with him for his deceit and not trusting her.

I agree with the separation being needed 👍🏼

It will be much easier than having Rishi 😍 still there with the rest of the Sharma Family 😔

I am sure Indira 😳 will figure this out.

Btw know this not related to your post but where was Ishaan ❓
