A restaurant...

A young man was sitting at the restaurant.A pretty girl entered the restaurant.She noticed that the crowded restaurant had only one seat available and that was near that young man.She walked towards him.

She:Excuse me!May I sit here?

He nodded.

She:Thank you.

She sat next to him.

She:This restaurant is so congested. Right?

He did not say anything.

The waiter came and she gave her order.

She:Hi...I am Disha.

He:I did not ask your name.Then why are you saying your name?

Disha became dull and embarrassed.

Disha:May I know your name?

He:We are strangers.Then why do you want to know my name?

Disha:I have to wait till the food is ready.So I am bored.So I thought I will talk to you till the waiter brings me food.

He:But I am not interested to talk.

Disha became embarrrassed.

Disha:Arrey...atleast talk when somebody talks to you.That's called basic manners.

He felt embarrassed.

Disha:Now tell me..what's your good name?Let me know whether your name is good or not.

He:You don't judge my name.I have a good name.

Disha:That's good.But still your name is a suspense.

He:My name is Veer.

Disha:Yes...it's a nice name.

Veer was silent.

The waiter came and served her food.She started eating food.Her fork slipped off her hand and it fell down.She bent down to take it.At the same time Veer also looked down to see what she is doing there.Her head hit his head by mistake while moving her head.

They looked at each other.

Disha:I am sorry.

Veer:It's ok.

She smiled.

They both ate food and get up.An elderly lady went towards them.

She:Veer beta!

Veer:Arti aunty..

Arti:How are you Veer?

Veer:I am fine aunty.

Arti:I happened to hear about Amrita.I feel sorry.Sad that you had to go through this much of pain.

Veer became upset.

Arti noticed Disha near Veer.

Arti:I am his distant relative.

Arti said to Veer:Veer...you did'nt tell me that you are going to remarry.Maybe for your baby.But good that you are moving on.

Disha and Veer became dull.

Veer:Aunty...it's not like you think.

Arti got a phone call.

Arti:Excuse me!You both carry on.

Arti walked away.

Veer told Disha:Please don't take her words seriously.She misunderstood us.

Disha:It's ok.But after hearing what you said I feel that you are lost in some painful thoughts and that's why you were disinterested to even look at the person near you.I am not interfering in your personal life.But I feel that you are hiding a lot of pain inside.Sometimes it's better to share pain woth a stranger.You can share it with me if you are comfortable.

Veer felt sad.

Veer:Amrita was my wife.After delivery she passed away.She left me forever.

Her eyes were wet.

Disha felt sad.She took tissue paper from her bag and gave it to him.

He took it from her and wiped his eyes.

Disha:I know you are very upset.I can understand how much pain you felt when you lost your beloved.

Veer:How do you know that?Have you loved anyone?

Disha:Yes.Because I love someone deeply.I can't imagine a life without him.Next week is our wedding.I can't wait to get married to him.My life's biggest wish is to marry Rohan.I understand that you are cold towards others as well as yourself.But please try to overcome it and live for your baby.It will give you happiness.Trust me.

Veer looked at her emotionally.

Disha:I have to leave now.Bye.

Veer:Wish you a happy married life.

Disha smiled:Thank you.

Veer:Bye!

They parted their ways.

After 10 years....

Veer and his daughter Aliya were in the temple.A woman passed by.Seeing her Aliya's face blossomed.

Aliya:Disha Ma'am!

That woman turned back.She was Disha.

Disha:Aliya!What a surprise!

Aliya told Veer:Papa,she is my teacher Disha.

Veer and Disha looked at each other.

Disha:You?

Veer:You are that restaurant girl.Right?

Disha nodded.

Disha:So you remember me.

Veer:I remember you.Because when I was in depression it's your words which made me understand that I should not forget my responsibility.So I started living for my daughter and that's my best decision ever.I am thankful to you for guiding me to the right path.

Disha smiled.

Veer:How do you remember me even after many years?

Disha:Maybe because you were the stranger with whom I shared my personal life.

They smiled.

Aliya:You both know each other?

Veer:Yes Aliya.We have met each other once.

Aliya smiled.

Disha:It's time for the arti.Let us attend it.

Veer:Yes.

Veer,Disha and Aliya attended the aarti together.

After the aarti the Priest gave them prasad.

He:May 3 of you stay together happily.

They were surprised.

Disha:You have mistaken Panditji.We are not one family.

Panditji:Oh sorry!But you all look like a lovely family.

Aliya smiled.

The priest went towards others.

Veer:You don't mind it.Years back also one of my aunties mistook us for a couple at the restaurant.

Disha:Ya.I am not bothered about that.It's ok.

Veer:That time you were about to get married to your lover.Where is your husband?

And kids?

Aliya:Papa...Disha Ma'am has got a son called Shikhar.He is my junior in school.

Disha:Ya.Shikar is with his grandmother now.

Veer:Ok.

Disha:I have to leave now.

Veer:Sure.See you later.Because today I realised that the world is so small that we will meet again later.

Disha:Yes sure.Bye!Bye Aliya!

Aliya:Bye Ma'am!

Veer:Bye!

They parted their ways.

Disha went to a house.An old woman welcomed here.

She:Disha beta!

Disha:Maa!

They hugged each other.

She was Kokila.

Disha:Where is Shikhar?

Kokila:Shikhar was playing a lot.Now he is sleeping.

Disha:He must be tired.Let him sleep for some time.Till then we will sit and talk.

Kokila smiled:Yes beta.

After chatting for some time Kokila asked her:Disha,why don't you stay with me?

Disha:I also wish to stay with you Maa.But how can I?

After Shikar woke up,both Disha and Shikar bid good-bye to Kokila and left in a bus.

Shikar:Maa...why our life is not like others?

Disha:Nothing like that beta.We should not compare our life with others'.You should live happily with what we have.

Shikhar was silent.

Veer's first interaction with Disha at the restaurant was not very receptive. But nice to see their interaction. Arti misinterpreted that Beer decided to move on with Disha after Amrita's death. Nice to see Disha comforting him. Shocked that Disha's marriage is fixed with Rohan. Nice to see the bonding of Aliya and Disha in the temple. For one moment I thought you made Kokila as Disha's mother, but it was unexpected to see them as strangers who bonded well with each other. Disha told Shikkar to be happy with what he has. I wonder what happened between Rohan and Disha.
