You know what, Ron?s my favourite character but I really disliked him at that moment. He was so sexist .. wow, kissing her boyfriend in a deserted corridor makes his sister a slut ? And then he worried about how that reflected on him ? It?s the only time I wanted to slap Ron ever ? it is NOT okay to slander your sister?s character on any girl?s character like that. And so damn unneccsary. I have many brothers but I know they are smart enough not to be that stupid and idiotic even though they are protective. He had no problem with Harry kissing Cho at all and really, that Krum line was used by Ginny to make Ron get off her back ? all your friends are kissing people but you don?t say anything to them, why me .. it?s pretty obvious to me that a Ron/Hermione relationship was not expected by the general Hogwarts population no matter what rapid Ron/Hermione shippers think ? only Harry who spends all his time with them would think like that.

I agree with this.....At that moment Ron was exaggerating... and was being immature about the whole thing.. ..but i still felt Ginny's reaction to him was extreme....just that whole part where she was mocking Ron because he had'nt snogged someone just for the heck of it really angered me...
I didn't feel it was extreme, neither of their reactions..Ron's just being an overprotective brother & Ginny an annoyed sister, it was just one of things that siblings have, "why can't you just stay away from my life" kinda arguements..

Sorry if i have hurted ur feelings with my comment. But when i repled i was in a rage, sorry bout that.😳 But i will keep with y belief that Hermy was a life saver and 100% right in almost everthing. 😊 People differs, views differs, so lets not argue about this anymore, as our thoughts will differ o matter what.😛 Hope u understand me😊

Thanks for the apology. But thanks for the insult as well ... in my mind what I said about Hermione is very true. I think what you said about Ginny is untrue ( I really don't think she is selfish ... especially seeing as she is the only person we see comforting random wounded strangers on the battlefield after her brother died) but I didn't go call you stuff because of it and I didn't use that as my reason to say stuff to you.

But yeah, let's just agree to disagree because I don't think she is 100% right in alot of stuff and obviously you do.

Oh, I didnt know that the marks Marietta got were forever? Where is it mentioned?
Anyway, Umbridge and Hermione are so different from each if you ask me. And why are you only looking at the negative characteristics of Hermione...namely jealousy, insecurity(which almost everyone have by the way), vindictive to cruel people(she never lets a bad-doer get away easily-this can looked upon in a positive OR negative light) and she is a bit uptight about rules....but face it...she gets better as the years go by...
She is positive is SO MANY ways...she is the ONLY person who supported without ever even leaving once inspite of her LOVER (Ron) leaving him,it is only due to her intelligence and spell-knowledge that the trio have gotten through many rough spots and not to mention all the tiny little practical details (ex. packing for finding horcruxes in DH) she takes care of that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Also, we get to know how sympathetic she is as a person when she starts SPEW(I loved her for that coz I love house-elves😳)....well I can go on and on about her importance in HP LOL....
I am in no way trying to change your opinion of Hermione if you dont like her but just wanted you to see that she has many good points in her personality too😃

Oh I do know she has her good points. I also know she is a valuable member of the trio. But unlike Ron, Harry, Ginny, Fred and George ... I don't like her flaws, that's why I dislike her. Why don't you tell everyone here who was focusing on whatever stuff they said about Ginny to focus on her positive points because she has many herself. I don't get this singling me out stuff. The people we like, we like their flaws. The people we don't like .. we don't like it and when justifying your reasons for it with canon, unfortunately, the flaws are what comes to light. I see nothing wrong with it. There are things I do appreciate about her but on the whole I dislike her for those things and her actions and general personality. I do find her condecsending and patronising because of her intelligence. And very uninteresting. But hey, that's my reading from it and equally correct.

I thought she went around SPEW the wrong way and actually it irritated me .. forcing stuff on people is just plain wrong. So while her intentions were good, it didn't really help in endearing her to me.

Anyways, I do believe JKR has said that the scar will never go away and Marietta will have a reminder of it for the rest of her life. I didn't say she is Hermione, but there are alot of similarities and I am not sure if I am supposed to find them vile and repulsive in Umbridge, why I am not allowed to find Hermione's similar actions the same. It's harsh and very much not needed. Scarring a teenager no matter what I am against. Or like F&G are wrong for blackmailing someone but she's right. Nope. I just don't get that whole discerpency.

Anyways, I don't have much time but the part about Hermione treating Ron like crap would be when she was ignoring Ron and telling Harry how could he looks and shooting repulsive looks at him. She tried to hide her feelings and that is how Ron was insecure over her. That's why when a girl was throwing herself at him, he went for it.

I do agree that Ginny went overboard when she was was talking to Ron. He's saying stuff to her for kissing a guy and getting experience , so she uses the natural reaction of saying stuff to him for haven't gotten any experience. It was a very realistic and fun part for the book. I'm just saying that I didn't side with any of them .. I didn't hate Ginny for what she said to Ron because IMO, Ron did deserve a hex or too. And a good slap or too. But then Ginny was overboard too ... so that's why I, a major Ron fan, don't hate her for it. Neither do I, a massive Ginny fan, hate him for it. They were both at fault IMO. They were both overboard or whatever and I guess I am just tried of people completely ignoring that Ron was being a big jerk too and just blaming Ginny. She had a reason to lash out ... she may have gone too far yes, but Ron was the first one who stepped so far over the point.

But anyways, it doesn't matter. I don't get uptight for people saying they dislike the popular girl Ginny and there's alot but I get completely overwhelmed when I say I don't like the bookworm Hermione. I get it's unpopular opinion, thought there are quite a few who dislike her as well, but I think I gave my reasons why and with proof and not made up stuff. So just carry on people.

As for Hermione treating Ron like crap, I disagree with it....in fact, she has always loved him deeply and they both share a silent communication with emotional undercurrents no other couple in HP can...but its ok I understand your opinion though it is certainly a rare one😃

I do think she's always liked him yes, but they haven't always treated each other well ... throwing birds at him, making fun of him, him making fun of her, trying to make each other jealous .... there is a reason why people don't like them and what H/H shippers use, and that is because they are very awful to each other at times .... I disagree that there's a silent communication with emotional undercurrents but yeah. But that was i response to something saying how Ron only dated Lavender because of Ginny's remarks. It was something that did push the relationship yes, but I do think Ron and Hermione did have a huge part each and taking that away from them does take away the emotional growth they both needed. If Hermione hadn't tried to try so hard to hide her feelings for Ron and if Ron wasn't so unsure about them, as we can see in DH, he wouldn't have gone out with Lavender I think. Knowing Hermione hadn't saved her first kiss for him did push him away yes, but that was just over the edge. He was already there because of the way she would praise Harry and call him fanciable etc but not Ron.

It is indeed a rare opinion but not all that rare. I know plenty of people who can't stand her ...online and in RL too.

^^I thought its rare because I have seen lot of Ron-disliking by some H/H shippers but rarely hermione-disliking by anyone😆

I dont like believing in "the end justifies the means" but in Ron-Hermione case I just want to....because as long as they're together I dont really mind how it happened.

^^ LOL I just loved that part, Harry getting all annoyed that they started in the middle of the war. Oh, Harry. But doing things at the unexpected moment, that's very Ron-Hermione, so choosing that moment for taking action was perfect and very much in character for them.
Ok, I guess enough...no more off-topic posting for me😆
