well i was just reading the 5th book and i noticed something which may be a blooper

when harry gets home after the dementor attack his aunt surprises every one by telling dementors guard azkaban.
when asked how she knows she states that she"overheard him telling her"
to which harry says
"if u'r talking bout my parents then say their names"

however in the 7th book when harry saw into snape's memory after his murder he saw that lily and snape were under a tree and snape was her about the dementors and after a few moments petunia fell out of the tree they were under

which means that petunia actually overheard snape and lily

so in the 5th book how could petunia mean james and lily potter???when mentioning where she got that information.

petunia never mentioned james... harry was the one who assumed that petunia was talking about james... and she didn't bother to correct him...

What Petunia actually said was "I heard-that awful boy-telling her about them years ago" & Harry said "If you mean my mum & dad,why don't you use their names?" So yeah, like the others have said above,it is Harry who jumped to the conclusion that "that awful boy" was James which was natural given that he knew how much Petunia & Vernon hated his parents.

Well, as everyone has mentioned...it's not a blooper...JK Rowling has hardly left any bloopers in the whole series....I remember one in the very first book, in Harry, Ron & Hermione's first meeting Hermione says, "I've practiced a few spells at home and they work for me"

How can she practice magic? Her parents are muggles, wouldn't the underage magic law work then? I mean, I know Hermione is not supposed to know the rule by then, but shouldn't any of the ministry official go and warn her telling that she's not supposed to?

Just my thought, tell me what you think...😃

This could be a blooper but it can also be explained to some extent, in that maybe the law didn't apply until after you actually started your wizard training.Since Hermoine didn't start Hogwarts as yet at that stage, it couldn't be held against her. (maybe)😕

^^ I thought that too...but was just wondering whether its a loophole in the law itself or a blooper in the book 😊
