That's why the Trio, the OotP and all the people who knew the secret before DD's death, could see Grimmauld Place and the other DE's didn't.

So thats not a blooper at all. I rather thougt she explained it quite well.

I didnt mean to say that they dont remember the Secret...its just that...they said they cant have Grimmauld place as their head qaurters because all the 22 members(after DD's death) became secret keepers of that place so it was easy for the Death eaters to get to it....this is totally different from the info on her website...that is what I meant....I dont know if I am clear in my explanation

on her website, in the FAQ section, JKR says that wen a secret-keeper dies,
no one else can tell other people the secret anymore. those the secret
keeper told were the only ones hu wud know. they cudnt tell other people
either. so in dumbledore's case, wen he died, no one cud tell the death
eaters where the location of the OoTP headquarters was. only those
dumbledore told directly wud know but in the book, the members of the
order do not use number 12 as their headquarters cuz snape knows the
location and they are afraid snape might tell the death eaters. they said that
those dumbledore told had now become the secret-keepers.

so which is it really???

Well, when the Secret Keeper is ALIVE, the people to whom he has divulged the details cannot tell anyone even if they tried to.

When the secret keeper is dead, the people to whom he has divulged the details, become secret keepers themselves.

So, as Secret Keepers, they can choose to divulge the details. Hence the OotP were rightly fearing to use Grimmauld Place because, they would obviously fear Snape betraying the secret to Voldemort.

back to what i mentioned before....i don't know whether i am ready to call this a blooper yet.

i have been discussing this with my kids and we have ended up confused....

let us take from book six where draco does the summoning charm and takes the wand out of dumbledor's hand.

either he caught the wand or he did not and let it fall... as the book says "the wand sailed over the ramparts" and this means draco never caught it...
still draco unarmed dumbledore and he became the new master of the wand.

supposing the same wand was later collected and placed in the tomb along with dumbledore, then it was not the wand harry snatched from draco. that does not make harry the master of elder wand at any point....

if draco collected the wand and added it to his "collection" then it will became harry's when he snatched it in the malfoy manor. however harry had to be sure that draco was now using this wand and not the original he got at ollivander's at the same time when he met harry for the first time...

Yeah! I know! think Hedwig and Dobby's death were the most painful for me because both of them were so innocent and so loyal! Hedwig probably never knew anything about the war..but was killed because she was in the cage.

And Dobby's death was so tragic..he was so loyal and I can't believe his last words were "Harry Potter". His death and his funeral remain the most touching moments in the book.

thanks Maruder for the convincing response to what I called a blooper about the secret thing...

Mauritian - this is how i interpreted the whole elder wand being Dracos and not Snapes

Draco was supposed to be the killer and hence even before Dumbly died...Draco was destined to have the wand.
Also even though snape killed Dumbly, it was not a duel or anything...it was a preset suicide.

Plus elder wand accepted Dumbly as owner when Grindy was alive so i dont think the owner selection happens only at the death of the prior owner.

I think what Voldy held was truly the elder wand, only that the wand never considered Snape its owner, it was always Draco the predestined killer for Dumbly.

Plus Harry snatched Draco wand (not elder the real one), the elder by this also considered Harry master. Thats why AK when muttered by Voldy backfired in the final duel and Harry's expel...caused it to fly.

Oh yes! Dobby was adorable and the way he died was explained very well. I really felt like hugging Harry when he was digging the grave for him 😳. It was brilliant execution! 👏

I think Fred was very much an integral part of the HP series and to just metion that he died was injustice to his character. I really feel sad for George, who will be thoroughly imcomplete without Freddie. 😭

Some of my feelings after reading the book:

1. Snape, indeed, is the best character to have been written by JKR's quill.

2. Dumbledore definitely is the greatest wizard in history, in spite of his flaws.

3. Harry, Ron and Hermoine are really the epitomes of friendship.

4. I totally adore the name that Harry+Ginny gave one of their kids, 'ALBUS SEVERUS POTTER'. 😳

5. Narcissa, Lucius and Draco were just victims of Voldemort's terror and were not too bad afterall. 😊

6. It is totally cute how Bill's daughter is dating Tonks' son since Mrs. Weasley wanted Bill to marry Tonks at one point. I was 🤣 when Ginny told James that he was very much like Ron since he sneaks up on people while they are snogging. 😆

7. I wish I had a bag similar to Hermoine which has every freakin' thing that one would ever need!

8. Luna, Neville and Ginny were amazing with D.A. while the trio was busy finding Horcruxes.

9. My heart cries for George who lost his brother and partner at Weasleys' Whizarding Wheezes. Fred should NOT have died. Weasley family is totally incomplete without Fred and George. 😭

10. The dialouge between Harry and He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was SUPERB. 👍🏼

11. Totally loved the last three words of the book. "All is well".

12. Again, as Harry said, Snape was probably the bravest man from all what we have seen and read so far.

My heart goes out to Severus Snape and salutes him for all that he has done.
