If not another Potter book, I really want JKR to write another book! Her writing is superb and always leaves me speechless, she is truly gifted 👏

Its amazing how quickly everyone finishd and had time to write reviews!!! Although I finished it on the day having skipped breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! 😳 😳
Overall this book was best of JKR's writting however it was not at all i had expected!!!!
There should have been Harry and Ginny scenes at least.
It was good to know that Lupin han finally given in to Tonks and married her though taking them away from their child at such an early age was not a very good idea. (I completely agree with Selvifanmsia) 😊 😊
about similarities between Harry and Teddy).
For Vivacious-virgo - I think there will be a continuation of the Harry Potter books - JKR herself said the she is not saying Never again but maybe in 10 years time 😉 !
The ending ( the final chapter) was 19 years apart without any information as to what had happened in that 19 years leap. It would have been better if there was a 5 - 10 years leap but not 19!!! 😡
The deaths of Lupin and Tonks 😭 were not called for but at least we know that the Marauders were reunited!! 😊
ONe thing that left me stumped was hasnt it been 19 years then Teddy should be 19 or around it as he was boen before the final showdown, then it would be assumed that Bill and Fleur had their daughter right after the battle ... so ... Victoire should be 18 and out of Hogwarts!!! 😕
I had not realised until now that this book mentioned the link between Harry and Voldy - they were related sharing the same ancestor!!!!
I personally found the book incomplete so I am certain that there will be another book in the future - not near future though. As i found it incomplete, I went online to see what others thought and came across a couple of fanfics. There was a particular one that I really liked and it did answer more of my queries that Deathly Hallows. Although written late last year it was amazing as to how close the writer had come to JKR's story line - I would give her more credit than JKR. I would have attached the link to it but am not sure if it is appropriate!!
Thats it until I think of something else.
Thanks for reading and sharing views!! 😃 😃

Uff! Finally, I can ramble here 😛

The book was FANTASTIC... I literally couldn't put it down, i found only one stopping point and that was in the beginning!! After that, it was continuous, it was hard for me to take a break because I had to know what would happen next.

When they make this movie, they better not skip anything because everything in this book is extremely important.

It was so action-packed, Wow, i'm glad RAB was Regulus ,we all knew that pretty much.... finding the Horcruxes, the Deathly Hallows were nothing I expected, they're items, and i thought it was just an expression... 😳 we learnt so much about new characters, and she answered ALL of our pending questions... i still have some, but not nearly as much as i had in the previous ones.

If I had to pick one thing I didn't like, it was that Harry and Ginny got together I've never liked that couple, and I started to almost have a sense of dislike for Ginny, i didnt like the fact that she still liked him, and he still liked her.. but on the plus point..

Ron and Hermy together, YES!!! It was bound to happen, they are soooooooooo cute, and i'm so happy it wasnt all mushy gushy... it was smooth and planned, very very nice... i'm shooooooo happy 😳 😳

Snape being good, WOW, i had a feeling he wasnt completely evil, but he was completely good! And he loved Lily... that again, i had a very very small feeling but i was not sure if it was true. Wow.. and he died 😭 ahh, well... his death was sad, but so was Dobby's and Fred's, OMG, i cried when i read those 😭 😭 how could they die?! Along with Hedwig, Moody, Lupin, Tonks, aaghhhh.... lots of deaths, that's bound to happen, but.... it's really sad..

I could go on and on and i probably will, but, wow... the book was too good..!! 👏 👏 I wish I could go hug JKR..

OMG I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE LAST BOOK! i mean while reading i got to the part about what how harry was intended to die and i started crying, and silently hoping it wasnt true, and im soo glad it wasnt true! i cant believe snape was actually good... i loved that twist to the story-- it totally blew me away! i loved how it was like a happily ever after with harry ending up with ginny and ron with hermione! i wished we knew what harry does for a living though... i thought he would end up as headmaster or even the minister... mhmm unanswered questions that boggle my mind! nonetheless it was the perfect ending to the most perfect series!

Mauritian - this is how i interpreted the whole elder wand being Dracos and not Snapes

Draco was supposed to be the killer and hence even before Dumbly died...Draco was destined to have the wand.
Also even though snape killed Dumbly, it was not a duel or anything...it was a preset suicide.

Plus elder wand accepted Dumbly as owner when Grindy was alive so i dont think the owner selection happens only at the death of the prior owner.

I think what Voldy held was truly the elder wand, only that the wand never considered Snape its owner, it was always Draco the predestined killer for Dumbly.

Plus Harry snatched Draco wand (not elder the real one), the elder by this also considered Harry master. Thats why AK when muttered by Voldy backfired in the final duel and Harry's expel...caused it to fly.

Rivs

basically the same thing we were forced to conclude...

once he snatched one wand, the rest of draco's wands also accept harry as their owner.

ok guys what is the similarity between petunia and snape???

it just struck to me that their roles were so similar!!

both had to go through this "grapes are sour" feeling.
both had to kill their desires and look after harry... the symbol of all that they hated in order to "protect him"

crazy huh??

now we get to understand petunia's anger, same as we understand snape!!

i would have loved to know what happened to "dudder" dursley dudleys "19 years later". he is one of those characters who suddenly changed skin in this book along with bumbling nev. longbottom...

back to what i mentioned before....i don't know whether i am ready to call this a blooper yet.

i have been discussing this with my kids and we have ended up confused....

let us take from book six where draco does the summoning charm and takes the wand out of dumbledor's hand.

either he caught the wand or he did not and let it fall... as the book says "the wand sailed over the ramparts" and this means draco never caught it...
still draco unarmed dumbledore and he became the new master of the wand.

supposing the same wand was later collected and placed in the tomb along with dumbledore, then it was not the wand harry snatched from draco. that does not make harry the master of elder wand at any point....

if draco collected the wand and added it to his "collection" then it will became harry's when he snatched it in the malfoy manor. however harry had to be sure that draco was now using this wand and not the original he got at ollivander's at the same time when he met harry for the first time...

From what I understood, the actual original wand was with dumbledore itself and in his grave. Draco did not take his wand with him. So what Voldermort collected from the tomb was the actual elder wand.

However, since draco had overpowered dumbledore, the elder wand recognised him as the master although draco never had the wand. (If draco had the wand with him, it would have worked for him). later Harry overpowered draco (this has nothing to do with draco's wand), so the elder wand recognised its new master as harry although the wand was in possession of voldermort, and it never worked properly for voldermort, meaning that it was only an oridnary wand for him.

Finally, harry took the original elder wand from voldermort and it did work for him when he used it to mend his original phoenix wand.

I hope I explained properly and did not confuse your further.

By the way, this is my first post in the forum. I loved the book. I finished reading it in one day, but my husband was very upset iwth me, since I did not do any work in the house and ordered outside food throughout the day. There were some very good scenes in the book, like nagini as bathilda, gringotts escapade, snapes memories, dumbledore's past, etc. Hats off toyou JK Rowling.

I have loved all potter books, and they have all been great, only the fifth book was a little less great in comparision.
