The title of my post is a little ughhh ...I know but I just want to know the views of our fellow forum members regarding Bebe.

She's not a qualified nurse but has experience worth a lot of years of being a dai (women who used to deliver babies in older days). So according to you guys is it okay for her to work at a hospital.

All emotional elements aside I kinda agree with Karan,

What if something goes wrong due to kadha she's been feeding the would be mom?

What if she has some sort of allergies to the ingredients in it?

Logical questions right. 😉

Do share your views.😳

Yes Karan is right.. ...BT not to forget Bebe has so much experience. She must have known all the pros n cons of giving kadha...n if not then doctors are there to tell babe that she can't feed kadha.

That lady was consulting from same hospital for nine months...that means the doctors must be aware of her allergies ...n also the doctors must be knowing the contents of that kadha...so nothing would have happened to the lady.

Karan is right as a doctor who believes that only scientific method should be followed...
That's only my opinion...

I agree with that. The two are both right in their own ways. Qualifications are based on experience and then again the fact that the patient has been consulting for the last nine months in the same hospital, they will be aware of all allergies.

As far as I know when a woman becomes pregnant and she visits her gynaecologist for the first time (or even when she goes for consultation before her pregnancy), they take down her health records. At least that is what they do in Canada, not sure if it is the same procedure in India.

However, Karan, who is a firm believer in regulations, has every right to fire her as hiring someone unqualified can affect the reputation of the hospital and in case something does go wrong the blame would go on the hospital for keeping someone unqualified.

So in a way both of them have their pros and cons.

Nonetheless, considering that it is fiction I guess it is possible to have unqualified nurses/doctors with years of experience. But as far as reality comes I'm sure it will be difficult for hospitals to hire anyone without any qualifications even if they do have years of experience.

Karan is within his rights, of course but the fact is that there are many systems of medicine.

Many hospitals these days include various streams and schools. Ayurveda or Siddha will seem unscientific to Allopathy. Homeopathy has many detractors but also many supporters. Unani medicine is prevalant in many parts of the world.

Before certified doctors there used to be healers and wise women across the world.

What counts is Bebe's knowledge and experience in a specific field. She's not going to perform brain surgeries but as far as the reproductary system is concerned, she knows how to deal with it. and that counts for something. Even modern science acknowledges holistic practices - kadhas and so on are hereditary recipes and secrets.

Karan is thinking like a modern man who is covering his risks as a hospital chief. But Amrita is thinking about saving lives, serving the people who come to them.

They are both right, which makes this an intriguing debate.

Yes I agree Dr Karan was absolutely right but Bebe too was justified at her own side.. Mid-wives in smaller towns and villages are no qualified nurses and I really liked the fact that this show tried to bring the true picture out.

Bebe's experience is as good as a qualified nurse and maybe even better..

Because sometimes what our mother cant do, our grandmothers can.. Though I say this cause of experience which Bebe has but I stand by Dr Karan cause I personally wouldn't like any of my acquaintances being treated by someone who doesn't know A of Nursing 😆
