Social acceptance is a funny thing, we all want that feeling of belonging, but personal happiness should come first. Theses people are all there for you when things are going right but soon as your having problems they abandoned you. They may taunt you but fact is they are not there to help you pick up the pieces. In putti's case I didn't see any young man from her caste asking for marriage, why because of her sister's failed marriage, the same society who will taunt will not resolve the problem, had her mother not agreed, putti would have stayed home all her life.

True i feel bad for Puthi that too luckily she had Bansi otherwise because of the same society she would have bear insults or getting married off somewhere in a not so good family, i feel bad for Kajri too instead of supporting her the same people in the village who must have been so happy to see her wedding and now in her times of need have abandoned her and i also feel its the parents fault they are too involved in thinking about what other people would think they sometimes forget their own children's point of view

great post. I agree with every word. Laajo should definitely fight for her well deserved place in society but I hope she does it by proving those small minded, superficial people wrong, rather than completely changing herself to fit in. The sad truth is, society will always find something wrong with what it perceives to be different, but changing ourselves to fit the norm can not be the solution. I hope CVs realize that.

@ bold so true if Laajo changes herself completely then she wont be the same it would mean that she has given up on her true state and now wants to change just to fit in that's why i liked that dialogue that Nikhil said about her hair it had a deeper meaning for Laajo to not change and to be herself 😳

Agree, yesterday's episode depicted the SOCIETAL sensitivities excellently.
This is an excellent serial that educates the viewers and fans that still in the 21st century people worry about society, about caste, and less about human worth, talent, skills and the inner beauty.

Laajo has excellently defined Barka by telling - that she may be a village girl, but in no way she was less qualified than an urban girl, as far as human values is concerned. The dialogues were very well written and so real.

The serial is going through a very interesting time- it shows the advantages and disadvantages of society issues and educates the
viewers.

I wished the producer and the channel would also promote/ad this wonderful serial on other channels- so that more viewers would know about Gustakh Dil. It deserves a number one (1) trp rating, and Laajo and Nikhil's ratings as actors should be in the top 10.

yeah this serial definitely deserves to be in the top but I think it's doing quite well in terms of the ratings, and this show does present it's storyline in a natura way like u said its doing a good job of depecting the various situations 😳

I must admiti really like Adiraj and Ayesha. I think they make a lovely contemporary couple - yin and yan, so different and yet ready to accept each other. I like that in them and think Adi is really cute:)

Hey Guys,

There was a nice touch in today's episode when Nikhil's buddies gave him a warm hug. The thing is Nikhil
got some money today but how long will it be before even long term buddies start looking away?

Social acceptance also comes at a price. Society has strict placement on perceived financial valuation of an individual and if a person falls from grace from this gilded perch they soon become a liability.

Would you keep your money in a Bank which could go bust? I bet not.

Society is a greasy pole and yet we all crave our position to be a part of it.

very interesting points, it does make sense for now Nikhil is asking for money but a time when he won't feel like asking and his friends won't feel like giving him also, Ones finance does determine how a person is held in the society it's a bitter truth
