But I did not like Lajjo's reason on giving up her desire to live because Nikhil does not love her and her mother in law does not feel she is fit in that high society. I felt that too selfish. How did she forget her parents and sisters...why can't she live for them. This part was unacceptable to me. Lajjo's character is always giving..unconditionally. Her character should be like that, the CVs should not change this.

Me too did not like the reason she gave.For her the person who does not love her is so imp than her loved ones like her mom,dad,bua n sisters.She is ready to die for the person who does not love her.This so stupid on the part of Laajo.

It is very hard to find a person in reality who r so unconditional . We can find only hindi soaps . The mahan bahus n patni's.

It is hard to understand Lajjo for us because our situation is different from her, Lajjo is from small village and they are being taught that husband is everything, even though lajjo is different from others in the village, she too have this notion about her husband, when Nikhil told her that their marriage is just a compromise and he can't love her, she was naive didn't know the meaning of love but then she fell in love with her husband as he was a nice person, he respected her etc. Her love is not filmi kind of love for Nikhil, like Sami said her love is divine kind of love like meera's love for Krishna.

Also, she knows if she lives with her parents after separation, it will affect her sister's marriage, so for her better way is to die when she is still married.

I would love to see a fighter Laajo. Who fight against the society rules for women and emerge as winner .

Ayesha was inhumane today, she was even sad when she found out about Nikhil signing papers but today nothing for Laajo .Ranjo is genuine soul and Nikhil is still going as a responsibility, he is though genuinely concerned for her more than for fellow human being but for some one he is close to.

so next option is to get sick by being close to victims, it started as a self preservation thing by helping at hospital and keeping the despair at bay but later on it would seem like ideal solution for her, if she dies, everyone will be devastated as it is expected but eventually move on but being alive in village as divorced is a big taboo...in our village there is a saying if your daughter is in pain your whole extended family in pain...so to avoid this forever pain for her parents she feels it is perfect to give immediate pain and help Nikhil by freeing him forever...I found this devotion very touching and it is not only for Nikhil but for her own family too

Agreed Sami 100%. That has been my thought exactly from the beginning when Laajo started going to the dispensary. Originally it was to keep herself busy and mostly I think to keep her mother's questions at bay. Then when she did get sick it seemed like the perfect solution to her for her family to be able to carry on living with their head held high and nothing to mar her sisters eventual future marriages etc.

While we as viewers don't want Laajo to cop out per say by taking this avenue of escape, if you view it from Laajo's perspective it does make sense... It not only saves her family's respect by not being a "shunned" women so to speak but it also releases her from all of her emotional pain...

As for Nikhil? He did an amazing job today. I didn't like it when he said to Ishana that he won't go if she stops him but that he would regret it for the rest of his life. This could be a possible out for the cvs to save some of Ishana's character...(not something I want as I want all her truths to come out but I did read on some post that Ishana goes to London without Nikhil from the original show so this could be the reason why)...

but Di,u knw i m very good at finding logics 😛.. so best logic i have is that makers themselves 😉 they put emphasis on important lines,said by the actors,in terms of situation by echoing them bit .. isn't it? 😃 ..so they only echoed two lines by Nikhil that .. don't stop me from going (coz he won't stop anyways 😉) and another one that if i won't go,i won't be able to forgive myself .. 😃 and the midst line just got disappeared by the makers only 😛😆

And another thing,why Nikhil says it is a responsibility ..isn't Laajo herself freed him from that so called responsibility??? it has a clear meaning ..it is not Laajo but Nikhil who is holding on .. Laajo gave up and so badly that she is ready to even die(which i firmly disapprove ..) .. so Nikhil just needs to accept .. nobody is forcing him but he is doping with own will and naming it something else ..while being with Ishana seems a responsibility .. everybody forced him for this :P

I feel Ishaana was shell shocked as to why this happened but somehow I feel she will try to stop Nikhil...I could be wrong but I feel she will and then Nikhil will get another call about Lack of meds that are needed on emergency basis for Laajo and then he would just run...rest am not sure... we have to wait and see.

Somehow I could empathize with Laajo ,life in villages is different than cities, people r taught to compromise in marriages..its embedded in DNA of girls...even I felt same way to be honest and still do ---my only limit used to be physical violence...but beyond that mostly women do compromise in our society and husband is a big deal...and we cannot forget Nikhil has done a lot for Laajo and those small things led Laajo to this path of devotion for Nikhil and he has become most imp person in her life

I hate this blind devotion . I agree he came forward n married Laajo .He took her responsibility.So he is bound to be responsible towards Laajo . But for that Laajo ready to sacrifice is life for the person who does not love is mere stupidity according to me.

Another logic. He already being blamed for years by his own mom .That he is responsible for death of his elder bro . So he does not want to be blamed again for a death of another person i.e Laajo . So to escape from this he is going to soanbarsa .

@Red bold: totally agreed! i m a girl and i still find it stupidity!!!! well i do sympathize with her but that doesn't mean every step she takes is right .. really? she thinks it is so easy that she wil die and things wil go smooth .. doesn't she know how much her parents love her? her father was such a support when he came to knw the truth! see this is the problem,i do agree some girls r treated such heinously that we can even say in words .. but here did she suffer that much of deal? it is a complete NO! all she suffered was ignornace from her Love ..that's it .. not even family and anything ..now she is complaining abt family but before she didn't even say that .. and honestly for that who is responsible? who took all the taunts and remain quiet?who was ready to go blind for love and being near to him? sorry .. i don't agree just bcoz she is a girl and suffered in love life,she did everything right and others r totally wrong! .. loving someone and being weak r totally different things .. and here she is weak!!! selfless love doesn't mean you have to kill your self respect and at last die yourself ..it simply means she wasn't strong to bear the pains in love and surrendered to it .. :/

And Hensley DEVOTION kind of love never makes u kill yourself!!! Devotion itself is a very strong feeling and makes u even stronger and specially doesn't make u do such foolish things on the name of love..i mean how can u love someone when u urself don't love the fact that u have gifted a life to live .. atop u r ready to lose that life just bcoz someone(maybe that is ur hubby who never loved u) never evaluated u rightly!

Very well said N I completely agree with you .

I don't just think she is giving up on life because Nikil doesn't love her. It's a combination of things people have already pointed out. 6 months of degradation and humiliation from his family. The shame brought on her family and not being loved by her husband...it is a mixture of all these facts. Lajjo is broken. At such a low point it is hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel...now she is desperately ill and physically weak as well as mentally is it any wonder she can't fight anymore?
