A STRANGE MELANCHOLY!

Warning:: Unfortunately, friends ...this is a slightly unfunny topic...bear with me and read at your own peril.

on the surface today's epi was just a filler. but it carried a few important messages. i know everyone saw the complete hold of bhauji over avdhesh, but i saw something else too...i saw his gullibility, his vulnerability , his innocent faith and most depressingly, the hopeless futility of his situation. i saw the forebodings of future days and a fate which lurks round the corner. we are happy he is going to marry arpita...but what is the end of a gangster, unless he somehow choses the path of reform. suddenly the inevitability of his future fate and the viciousness of the quagmire he is stuck in really hit home and left me with a strange melancholy. today i felt supremely sorry for my avdhesh, my heart suddenly felt heavy and ready to weep, to hold his hand and somehow offer some comfort, some solace, some respite in his difficult , scorching journey that he calls life.

...not least because of the logic he gave to his mom, but also because of what panditji said about getting killed in a false encounter, or that of a bomb being lobbed at his car...

here is a simple man at heart, an uncomplicated, basically shy man, who thinks the right things, has the right sensibilities, is the messiah of the poor and downtrodden, is decent to a fault and chivalrous beyond reason. he is a man who deserved a good, peaceful, happy and carefree life, simple yet rich in love, compassion and friendship...qualities he values most. he deserves love, which thankfully he will get. but he deserves so much more. come to think of it, there is an innocence in his whole gang, childlike , simple and honest. for a motley gang of people who play with death everyday, they retain a fresh transparency and innocence that touches to the core and brings a tear to the eye. there is something deeply touching, and yet disturbing and depressing as we see the gambol along playfully.

I could feel the loneliness of a man in Avdhesh's situation. I felt too disheartened to watch the epi for my customary second time. i could go on but i find i cant.

i sleep uneasy tonight for my poor , innocent, deep-down -gentle and supremely unfortunate avdhesh. i sleep uneasy for a man who has an angel's soul but trapped in the trappings of the devil's footman...

I only hope that destiny, and in this case that means the creatives, think a little positively, and give him a fair chance to redeem his life out of this quagmire and set a new path for himself , far away from the shadow of crime....

Very well said!!! It was very different side of him that we saw today and I am glad we did...!! Even though it was afiller episode but this was very important to show the true Avdesh... a noble man with a kind heart...!! And I am sure many mysteries about him will soon come!!

Sona (I think I have that right?😳)- what a beautifully written post 👏. I loved the way you picked out and put into words the loneliness of his existence, which goes beyond the facade shown to the World. I also felt melancholy reading it but in a good way (if there can be such a thing?!). I think Arpita coming into his life is the balm his troubled existence needs and you can tell she has inner strength and will help him face not just the world but his internal devils and particularly his bhauji, who is just manipulating him. Whilst we can expect a lot of pain at some stage ahead I am confident (or hopeful!) that the CVs will not disappoint us and their love will prevail 😃

u hav written each n evrything wat i was thinking n feeling bt i was nt able 2 put dwn all dis in words....bt u did it.....thanx a lot..........i m feeling uneasy n hopin sumthng +ve frm d side of CV's , since i hav read abt d show whn it ws jst started...d line makes me uneasy "will a gangsters life can ever end as lived happily ever after"

shweta, right? thanks...and i love what u have said , coz that is exactly what i was thinking when i wrote that destiny gives him that chance...and i was just thinking of editing my post and adding that i hope arpita will be able to become destiny's carrier to bring that chance to him. i hope she will be able to open his mind to let in some light of truth and reality....and give him the strenght and support to come out of this. and just then i saw your comment which captured this thought exactly so well. i just hope the purpose of this show is for the creatives to take a positive reformatory path to show direction to many misdirected youth today rather than just blindly follow the life of pramod shukla, on whose life this is based and who died in an encounter ultimately. i hope arpita is entering his life while there is still time...only the creatives can ensure that.

i know what u mean. i can only hope that if the cvs have gone to make such a beautiful show on a criminal, they are doing it with a positive purpose to make it socially useful , rather than just end up showing the wasteful nature of such pursuits. i hope they are able to provide solutions and direction , which is what is required in most such cases. i do hope they will choose the path of hope rather than despair, and infuse their characters with the strenght to come out victorious in the battle against adverse circumstances so that the show can be a beacon of hope and direction to the young and misled. I do hope they can show the triumph of innocence (avdhesh's), hope and faith (arpita's ) and love ( both of them).

Hey Sona! I'm Shruti 😃. Yes, I really hope the CVs of this show keep it together and don't let the script dissolve into meaningless drama which tries to show more and more tragedy just to shock (you see that with too many shows and as soon as a script becomes totally depressing, I stop watching)! I know that life is about challenges and we cannot be happy all the time, far from it, but I hope the positivity is portrayed. I too hope that the "reform is possible" theme is played as that will be inspirational. Also- that might happen as the Ammaji really wants him to reform too? She was so sad today? I didn't realise that Pramod Shukla was killed in an encounter 😲, really hope this is more about the "what could have been" of his life had he found the love and support to make it so (and circumstances) rather than the what was. Anyway, here is to keeping everything crossed for that and in the meantime, please keep sharing your thoughts which are expressed so eloquently 👏😃. It's really nice to know you 😊

sorry, shruti..i should have remembered!😳 and u have written it all so beautifully that i have nothing to add really. whatever i wrote i did straight after watching the epi and wrote whatever i was feeling. in that sense it is the truest representation of my reactions or my feelings about the show and the epi at the moment. i am glad u liked it. and yes , i hope that is the purpose of making a show like this, and i do hope that the creatives realize that and see the difference they can make, instead of falling into the trp game. see how much it has already made us think?

Sona, Shruti, Akashruti, Anupam: Beautiful ideas, very eloquently expressed👏👏👏 Sona, dare I suggest something (on the lines of what has been said already )that could perhaps, to some extent, dispel this melancholy?😊 And that is the idea that maybe Awadesh is destined to live a full, happy life, blissfully married to a girl who has till now hero worshipped him, but who, on really getting to know him, his heart of gold, his life principles, his innocence, becomes his soul mate. The two together complete each other.....and jointly take on the travails of life, rise above them and forge a path towards unmitigated happiness.😊 Maybe, his violent childhood, his wild environment, the absolute misery and terror that rules the lives of his town, has reached the tipping point where, it can only get better....in today's episode, it was indicated that he picked up the gun to save his family from tyranny of his father and brother's murderer....that was the life changing event that propelled him into this violent path.....maybe Arpita's entry into his life will be a similar life changing event that will, slowly but surely, lead him towards salvation and his town towards deliverance from the evil forces. I am reminded of the film Hero, where Jackie Shroff had a similiar journey, all due to the love of another innocent girl. This may sound naive, but I never claimed that I was not a hopeless romantic😳😳 Ka kari, ye manwa hai ki maanta hi nahin😃

i agree on all ur points

and yes that is sad truth here

but u know what creatives r not going to kill avdesh character just like that

we have to see happily ever after

but i think thats why they showed love story in the beginning only with less interferences coz major prbs wud arise now and with so many villains appearing.

at times there r traces of hero film

and as u say what if avdesh reforms after being with arpita

story is all about crime infested village and of two unlikely people falling in love

and how their love sustains despite all that

thats how the story wud progress

we wud yet see differnt side of avdesh as u say is vulnerable

and seeing how arpita role is shaping up she wud be his strength and his weakness too

thats why i like this story

it has got a lot of everything
