Mini...
🤗🤗Ye accha hai 😆

Anyways...Sorry for being gayab...Work load is crushing and am right now having Severe allergic cold...so before I sneeze my brains (what is left of it, that is) out...Me doing my blah blah...

Interesting choice this is...Alanta...

That how life comes a full circle...and in case of Gulaal ...they showed it so poignantly...However in most cases ...the full circle...generally indicates something bad...as in what you did bad in the past, comes back to haunt you...
But in this case...Gulaal was indeed the 'Mannat wali' Girl...she was so damn lucky ..that fate gave her everything back..in a good way..Everything she did, she touched turned into something extraordinary...May be it was the courage of the girl..or the her deeds..which were indeed great...if we look into it..she saved thousands of people from dying...people, animals and the future generation of Talsagra...and that was most imp...future generation😛😆

Dushyant and Kesar...again Interesting parallels...Both brats, spolt kids..stubborn, going for what they wanted ...uninhibited...and I again think that the deeds of the past did come as a difference in both their fates...It is interesting that both wanted something which Vasant had...the only difference was that Kesar accepted her as Vasant's where as Dushyant wanted only for himself...Naturally because Kesar was not in an age at that time to have Gulaal as his own...and what would have been their equation had Vasant been alive is not something which we can fanthom or we would like to fanthom...😆
Another basic difference was the 'Parvarish'...which is what made Dushyant cross that ultimate line and try to achieve Gulaal at any cost...where as Kesar..although a devil in disguise initially...actually turned to Goody two shoes (and more's the pity)

And I think we were supposed to understand the difference...that love cannot be obtained by such means...and it was unlike all the other soaps which actually, most of the times, show the beliefs and the faith of the protagonists being ruined by showing some forced marriage...and then it turning into love and then revelation and all that nonsense...
In here they actually showed a woman taking her fate in her own hands...and thereby changing the fate of her soul mate...
As Kesar said..that he was branded by her when he was 12..there was no way he can just replace her...he would have to change fundamentally...mind body soul if he would even have to think of someone else...

So in Dushyant's case, it was his selfishness and posessiveness and may be lust too...in Kesar case it was almost like helplessness...
but ironically...she did drove both of them mad..so mad that they were ready to kill...Dushyant did and Kesar could not...but she was a kind of drug that ruled both their minds and that is why perhaps Dushyant understood Kesar...it was he who brought the sulking and running Kesar back from that big bus after reading the chit...inspite of the fact that it was addressed to Gulaal...how he must have read the letter and felt that it was HE...himself..aka Dushyant writing it...but he was not big on writing na??? Just as he was not big on music and all...and the MB brother excelled in that😆 and eventually they did manage get her in the end...Vasant at the end of his real life...and Kesar at the end of the reel life😆

This part is so true.Kesar was a mix of Vasant and Dushyant na.He had both the good and bad in him.He was loyal, honest and staightforward like Vasant but at the same time he had the traits of jealousy, possessiveness and anger in him which could seen in Dushyant too.Of course how can we forget his obsession over Gulaal na..
yep even though he considered his bond with Gulaal to be exclusive he knew that she was his Vasant bha's but as you said he was a child at that time...what would have happened if Vasant had been alive...would he still crave for the same haq from Gulaal...so many interesting scenarios to imagine na.
yep "parvarish"that really shaped their characters na.Kesar was a spoilt brat as a kid and who knows how he might have turned out without Gulaal in his life.Maybe he would have turned into Dushyant because he did share more similarities with him than Vasant at that point of time.Gulaal was a positive influence in his life and even though his childhood was destroyed by that secret I feel his focus on the whole revenge thing did straighten him out😭hmmm I loved his mature avtaar but yes I did miss the bratty Kesar😭

And I think we were supposed to understand the difference...that love cannot be obtained by such means...and it was unlike all the other soaps which actually, most of the times, show the beliefs and the faith of the protagonists being ruined by showing some forced marriage...and then it turning into love and then revelation and all that nonsense...

I loved the Dushyant-Kesar dynamic. The few scenes that we got between these two characters were so charged na.I love that bus wala scene a lot.You are so right.Dushyant understood him completely.Remember when he offers advice to Kesar regarding Gulaal after the DV fiasco we know that he is speaking from personal experience. He really gets what Kesar is going through and he also knows that he would never be able to win Gulaal's love this way cause he had already tried and lost.I wish they had explored more of that instead of harping on Talli. The CVs went after the wrong third angle. The Kesar-Gulaal-Dushyant triangle would have been so much more explosive than the straight line we got(I refuse to call that a triangle)
waiting for the second part eagerly😍

Ahhh PIG and Mini.⭐️.Both of you just perfectly summed up everything BRILLIANT👏⭐️
I wud like to add my chotu ramble here before you write about the whole scene. It is interesting to see how we can compare and contrast Kesar with Dushyant and equally his love with that of Dushyant. Both were bound to Gulaal in their own way..Both were obsessed with her ..But there is always a very thin line between love and lust...IMO DUSHYANT NEVER LUSTED GULAAL INFACT HE HAD HIS OWN STRANGE KIND OF DESIRE FOR HER.The desire to possess her..the desire to own the untamed spirit of her which attracted him as a magnet. But what went wrong with him was that he actually crossed the line of sanity and committed soomething in the spur of the moment which changed him and his entire life completely. While with Kesar it was different. His obsession was different..All he wanted was that Gulaal 's centre of the universe should be him...We always fear to contemplate what Kesar would have felt if Vasant was alive..My take is he would have loved her more..deeply but that love would be a platonic one ..the one which wud have been associated with the fact that Gulaal officially belongs to his brother. In that case too he might not have developed those romantic feelings for her..But could have never loved any other girl too...Coz ...To love someone you have to give your heart and soul ..but how could he if he had already swore his heart and soul at Gulaal's disposal..Ahhh ENCHANTING!
Isn't it..Sad But Kesar was something else too...See main bhi kitna ramble karti hun..Now m waiting for the scene take to phir me too will come up with my dissection 😉

PIG ...Mini...wonderful takes...
On a side note...Seems like whole of Gulaal cast is coming back...Manoj Joshi in some Guj based serial, and NB too in that beauty and the beast adaptation..and ofcourse Geeshy's fav Hally with Alaxmi (I am liking hte promos) and one more character..Gulaal's friend preleap..the one who portrayed herself as 'Nijara' before Vasant ..in Sony's Byah humari bahu ka...Kya baat hai😛

so am coming to the point 😆. ... Dushyant's scene... Well he was actually a bad boy..the guy whose relation with his bhabhi was almost bordering illegitmacy..and that guy had fallen hard... The guy who had absolutely no compunctions in cheating his own brother behind his back...somehow had to rise upto the standards of a man who practically was a legend..Vasant...for Talsagra Vasant had become Bhagirath who brought Ganga on earth... Only Gulaal was not as the calm serene Ganga...she was a river with her own mind and will...he must have got that when she landed a tight slap on his cheek...
Manasi looked so vibrant and sharp then...I loved her dressing post marriage...
Back to that slap scene...Dushyant finally blurting out the truth...it was indeed something out of character when he had remained silent when Motabha had asked Gulaal for Vasant... Was thinking what would have been Kesar's reaction pre his 'Kesudi' avatar...
But I guess CVs wanted that to remain a secret...or Vasant the mahaan atma would have gone ahead and sacrificed his love for his dear bro...
But everytime, after that Dushyant tried to show off...Vasant just rose higher..like during thepheras...he lifted Gulaal..giving her the most romantic of weddings...and even on that day... Kesar's innocent chiding... That he and Vasant were always better than him... And Gulaal laughing..that was the last straw..and he was goaded into confessing...after that..he was a khulla sandh...nobody except MB knew his lews tricks... The way he tried to flirt with Gulaal...trying to corner her...trying to come in between the two..his love became obsessive and completely moraleless
