Faith is the very word i use for Kesar in the 10 yrs he was away and what he was battling with, what he really had was his faith - that never went, or fade, it might of wavered abit - but it was there in whatever form he took out his pain and hurt in and also kept in, he never let go of his faith in Gulaal and today it still remains intact, even more solid and secure

As for that capture in the dark against the pillar - it was so well portrayed.. the way Kesar's voice chokes and the name Gulaal doesn't come out first go, and then he says it again and clearer - was such a subtle but brilliant depiction of how a timelessness has descended upon them in the wake of a disaster... how Gulaal's only support is Kesar, and how his calling out to her (even though after the bell alert) is in a way indicative of how he's going to snap her out of this!

Special mention back to the scene by the pond side when Kesar had asked her for answers, and Gulaal had only thrown back a meri imaandari par shaq mat kar... I hope Gulaal will soon come around to see how even the mature and selflessly accepting elders have been outdone by Kesar in the blind faith he could then place even in her denial. His dilemma and torment and misery had been upped to a peak by her declaration of Kesar having no haq to question her back then, and yet, ever since, he's lived - and had even become eventually tolerant to - Gulaal decision of protecting Dushyant, and accepting his presence in the house... only on her word. It's hard to say if MB and PB's loss has been any greater than Kesar's himself - although their respective relation with Vasant varied, it is also true, that Kesar a decade ago was a young impressionable mind scarred for life... And yet, when Gulaal needs a believer in her word - the kind of absolute believer, who even if he questioned her intention and lived with a grudge against it for ten long years, could not snap away and not trust her when she lashed at him of not having! He is the sole pillar for her - and incidentally, even in the midst of a family that loved and cared for her, he was the only one who was consistently striving to bring back her happiness! It will eventually become transparent to Gulaal - that there truly is no limit to the extent he can go for her... and his love for her... and in wake of the same, hopefully, she will realize that it is exactly how she is too! Her means to express may not be as vivid or as evident as Kesar's - but the sense of right and priority she has with him, is exclusive and unique!

So relieved with a glimpse of tomorrow in that precap - about time Kesar learns of the entire truth, and just as well, that Gulaal - whatever her frame of mind - is the one to divulge every word of it... because really, even if her confession sounds self-reproachful, her heart will be in every word she says - when she claims she hid fire in her pallu ... they aren't plain dramatic words! She's lived with the flame, and the burns, and the smoke, and the heat - for ten long years... and whether or not her decision was wrong, the one thing no one can and should take away from her is her intention...

Oh well! Tomorro, tomorrow come soon!

xx

*edit*

I like to add that the symbolism of the two sitting by a central pillar in the house, supporting each other rather than seeking the 'pillar of the house' support was deep! Its this house, as Gulaal recently claimed, that means everything to her, its happiness her all - and like we were saying that day, she will soon see how the center of it all is Kesar - with him, all of it, without him, nothing!

What an excellent analysis! my mind and heart are still in a state of denial that this beautiful love story is going to end soon. But i just loved how you put it altogether. The meanings of two pillars that would support one another no matter how harsh the circumstamces might be. They were always like a soulmates. Gulaal has consumed the fire that was once all around her. Her words and justification will present her easily in tomorrow's episode because it is kesar whom she is telling the truth. These three weeks will be crucial and yet so clearifying, i would still want this to go on for long but i guess now i cannot wish that unless some miracle happens...whatever it is, it will still be worth watching till the end.
Waiting for more of your analysis jzee!😊

I don't have it back yet - they said they need to keep it over the weekend, broke some hinge in the monitor part, and they said although it will run already, if they don't replace and fix it, it might cut through the LCD one of these days - so I'm just going to have to wait... 🤢 And that's why I'm not making a topic - my internet time becomes very 'position dependent' :|

Anyway - you know Reemz what's the wonderful part of GK bond?! If she had told him something a decade ago, and he'd taken her word for it, no matter what - anyone could say he was this kid blinded by Gulaal's obsession... He's grown up over the years, heck he spent a decade of his life going from becoming the easy to convince child to the mind of his own adult - but one thing that's only grown with his years is his faith in Gulaal - even when he's hell bent on fighting it, as he was on his return, he can't Through the ten years of grudging her, she was still his only confidante, even if in the form of secret letters... and when he got back, his faith in her cut through the hatred and suspicion until it had all been gotten rid of ... One can understand that the elders of the house cannot just come to forgive Gulaal, understand her point, or trust her intention at this point in the face of such seeming betrayal - and yet Kesar, who is also very much an adult now, can, because that's how it is between them. The way he trusts her word, blindly and only because its her word, is childlike pure, and ten years of acquiring a sensibility of his own has done nothing to corrupt that faith ... it was always there, much as he tried to bury it beneath doubt at one point, it was sitting alive and alert, iffy to bounce back. He cannot imagine his Gulaal to have done anything to intentionally harm or cheat, and even when he hated her guts or decision, it was ever the more so from this struggle of convincing himself she was vile - because even a decade of isolation could not instill that fact enough - such is his faith in her!

So well said Jzee!👏👏 That purity in Kesar's heart still remains. His devotion towards Gulaal is unquestionable. The only time his trust in her wavered was due to his fear of losing her and that made him very vulnerable but now when any illicit doubts have been cleared, he dare not question her in any matter. Such blind faith he has in her and deservedly so because we all know that Gulaal's heart has no malice whatsoever. Once again it goes back to the statement Gulaal had made on Kesar's return, 'Tu mere mann ko mujhse zyada jaanta hai'.
That scene was brilliantly done...he sat there with her, unaware of the time, hunger, thirst...just sat with her. It has always been like that though right? They have always been each other pillars...good or bad times
That image of them sitting together simply left me amazed and it just spelt SOUL MATES!

Exactly. He held on to that faith even when everything was going against his belief. Not trusting her was paining him so much

The more I think about it, the Talli scene was kind of needed. Kunnu does need to find out that his parents took dowry because when he does question them, people will realize that Dushy was just the front but the actual brains behind the whole deal was Raman and JK (to a large extent). I suppose that truth does need to surface for the story to move forward and get Raman punished. Poor Giga...he has no luck with his sons or his daughter for that matter.

It was a nice scene because now Talli is appreciating Kunal more too. She has someone to confide in. I think when we were watching it live, we just got irritated from this human love when we wanted to see Kesar and Gulaal's almost-spiritual love!

I agree Poor Gigakaka, even his wife - is no use at all, amount of times she lets out venom
He really is an alone man
I agree about Kunal/Talli - this is also a test of time for them, in their relation and how they progress and how Kunal goes about it and how Talli starts to see him, Kunal is a good guy, he will do the right thing and thats what is needed here esp for Talli to see

Loved every bit of the post ... And sympathise with you for having missed the "complete" Kulli scene...
