Just now I was watching some old episodes of Gulaal. What did I find out...Gulaal was always like this. Whatever Kesar is doing to her..its not new for her. She has been there before too. It is new for Kesar but not for Gulaal. Earlier it was dushyant. Dushyant was also madly in love with her, obsessive to an extent that he killed vasant for Gulaal and then when he realises his wrongs deeds and moves ahead for redemption...Gulaal does not readily agree with his sudden change. She accuses him that he is changing and acting all good with her for his own benefit and not for her or others. With Kesar also she is applying the same old galool brain. That time dushyant was upset so much so that he harmed himself becuase gulaal refused to acknowledge his genuine change. Here almost similar circumastance is being created in front of gulaal. only difference for her is that it is Kesar now. She is absolutely reacting the way gulaal would have reacted...but she has to open her eyes and see that it is her Kesar not dushyant...

It is termed as Cost Cutting as per the Production House.😊
Ask me, I just had a hectic week in Auditing and looking out for cost cutting measures for the subsequent fiscal year.😕
I think they have a set number of people for each day's shoot.
Daiba is missing. Raman, Giga Kaka and Jamna Kaki are never together for a scene unless it is badly required.
Pannba has entered, Motaba has gone missing. During the Deeyarvatu Todo episodes, it was Motaba in Pannba out. Now for Talli shaadi episode, it would be Pannba in and Motaba Out because now Raman also has to be included.

While I may understand Talli's pendulum-esque state and while I may understand the logic ...
"Are you jealous of my fiance being better than you?! Ha ha ha.. *giggles*.. Oh take off my ring jo maine pehnayi hai, you chor! *giggles* Ha ha ha.. Oh I'm so funny Kesar! Ha ha.. Oh acha fine don't give it to me if you love that fat band of a ring so much but utar zaroor dena because warna you will fall in love with me based on a vein that makes a direct run to your heart.. He he he he.. *wink wink* Oh you wonder why that vein is in the left hand in my case but the right in yours?! Phhfftt! Technicalities bro! Ha ha ha.. You dabloo! *giggles* *thenga dikhaying* Ha ha ha.. Lets play catch-me-if-you-can like we're three! You're IT punk! *runs*"..

Seriously?! Seriously!!? 😳 *face palms* I swear I am out of words to describe the MORONIC exchange that this was?! POINT kya tha is sab ka I don't get it?! If she wanted to show him that she'd moved on, then really, this was an EPIC fail.. She should have AT LEAST bothered to see if she could keep that whimpy cry-baby expression OFF her face as she tried to appear nonchalant! No, she does the million-and-one-trying-to-blink-back-my-tears expressions and passes absolutely inappropriate and uncomfortable "jokes" that SHOW for a fact that she hasn't moved on - which to me seriously felt like she was taking below the belt digs at Kesar, just to make sure that he KNEW just how hard this was for her on the off chance that he had started to believe (after her umpteenth assurance) k she's trying to ...nonsense from today.. *shudders at the thought of those lame-o terrace dialogues* 🤢

You summed up my emotions towards this most puke worthy of episodes. I had started retching at Kunal's plagiarised poetry...CVs if you had to use shero-shayari at least you could have respected your audience enough to give them something nice rather than a ripoff from some filmy songs - I will never be able to listen to those songs without getting Talli out of my head...and finally barfed at the Kesar-Talli interactions -the mango orhard seems such a distant memory. The Cvs started slashing the tires of their own vehicle the moment they started to make Talli center stage and introduce Kunal and his sukhi parivaar!! The vehicle became a runaway train with Kunal's shayarri, Talli's rona-dhona and finally crashed and burnt on the terrace/balcony/barsaati with the ring reversal ceremony.

I had given up and tuned out as soon as I saw Talli sob and make a dash for the balcony... I had to catch up on the epis on line!!! (I am never doing this again, when my instincts say dont watch, I am going to trust my instinct).

The episode was an all time low for this serial. For the hard core Indian movie buffs, I would like to draw your attention to a spate of bollywood and telugu movies released in the mid 1980s. They starred tubby-chubby briefcase toting lakhpatti (the value of the rupee was better so that was considered rich) heros with expanding waistlines and diminishing hairlines romancing, courting and marrying at least two women, both different gradations of buxom, long haired Sati-Savitri-sometimes bellbotts-sometimes saris types. The reason for their bigamous marriage were varied...comas, amnesia, parental pressure, love and duty etc. etc. What united all of these movies was the nishta-prathishta, ek chutki sindoor and ghar-mera-swarg and pati-mera-ishwar bhavanas. Inevitably, there was dialogue mouthed by one of these women offering the incredulous audience an insight into the workings of the nishta-prathishta dhaari female character who was sacrificing everything for the sukh-shaanthi of the patidev and swarg... of course the male protagonist was subjected to this emotional dialogue...at the end of the movie, the two women worked things out or one died or left in a bucket of tears.(no never ever the guy)...the acting was spotty and the dialogues creepy and cringeworthy. ...this was (in my opinion) one of the lowest points in the history of Bollywood...Kesar-Talli's bizzare interaction on the terrace was an insight into that era of Bollywood... out of control creeptitude!! I had thought Talli's nightime tandav-cabaret was a nadir...but we have definitely plumbed new depths..

I have no idea what Kesar's expression was all about (and I too think he was spooked as were the viewers) - he should have turned tail and runnn...Instead of making Talli a fierce character who flips Kesar the bird after he dumps her and makes merry with her adult life, we have a super-zombie, a female frankenstien and the anti-feminist created in a character who has also been given dialogues from those 1980s movies (I shudder when I recall them). Why are we being given this over dose of Talli? Is this story finally taking a turn for the worse?😭😭🤢🤢😡😡

Ultimately thanks to these crosscutting measures we will be left with Gulaal and Vasanth foto or scarily worse Gulaal and Talli/Kesar photo..

When she is experiencing those selfless acts from him, she is begining to worry because though she may not admit it or hasn't yet figured it out, she is almost realizing that he is indeed doing selfless things. Thanks to her friends who asked her to think if letting her go for her happiness is not a selfless act of love, then what is.
It makes her more aware of the fact that his love can indeed be love and not mere infatuation because no one goes to such great lengths to make someone happy if it were mere attraction or infatuation. The last time she accused him of his NEED of her as a wife. He has given her that space and does not even come anywhere close to her that would make her feel awkward in his physical proximity.
So the truth is bothering her that she has decided to blame him yet again of ulterior motives. What she fails to understand is that Kesar was not aware of the three month grace period.
Well, let us see how Kesar handles her this time.

@bold: Bingo, Ganga...Gulaal is basically running out of excuses and justifications for how Kesar's love is just an infatuation/attachment...what her friends said hit home in a big way and has left her troubled cuz she can no longer feel righteous about this issue and dismiss Kesar's feelings...Kesar told her with quiet conviction that day she came to return his letters that one day she will have to believe in the truth of his love...and somewhere Gulaal is now scared...scared because one by one, all her arguments are failing and the truth that is Kesar's love is solidifying more...and so she is very desperately trying to lash out again and try anything she can to say it's a lie...It HAS to be a lie or she doesn't know what else she would do...what to THINK...it shakes her very foundations...she can't deal with it so she's trying to MAKE it a lie...but it won't work...

Very true...this is vintage Gulaal, no doubt about it...this is how she always reacts...she is never comfortable with change that is not of her own manufacturing...I also remember the way she accused Dushyant and how that basically sent Dushyant on a bigger guilt trip and broke him a bit inside as well...this is a handy weapon that Gulaal has and she's probably used it many times to yield great success.

But Gulaal ji, you have to realize that Kesar is Kesar...YOUR Kesar...these tactics don't work on him :P...If there is anyone who can stand up to you and who won't back down no matter what your threats and accusations, it is Kesar...when I honestly see them like this, I think more than ever...Gulaal has met her match😆...BECAUSE this is Kesar, these tactics won't work and in fact will yield surprising results for Gulaal as well as Kesar I feel...I sense a big change coming up soon.

👏Well said!!! Gulaal has met her match and she knows that as well! With Dushy there was no fear...she was not afraid of him one bit because there was not even a 0.01% chance that she could ever develop feelings for him! Not when he was evil and certainly not when he changed completely. With Kesar though...I sense her fear...from the time he barged into her room drunk and called her his pareshaani...to be very honest, she knew exactly what he meant by that which is why she had to run away to her maayka the very next day!!

She might not acknowledge it but deep down...I think she knows that if there is anyone she could potentially have feelings for after Vasant...it is her Kesuda😊

Anjal, she also had this righteous moral high ground over Dushy naa...since he did commit such a huge sin...she can hold that over him forever in a way and that always will have him at a general disadvantage...that guilt...he has to keep quiet in front of her accusations then.

Kesar has nothing to feel guilty about...his feelings are pure and honest and always have been...and he expresses them in such an earnest fashion too...

And yes she does fear that Kesar gets to her...acknowledging that his love for her is true and not a passing infatuation would be like bringing a huge wall down that helps in her keeping herself away...and that is why she is fighting so hard to do anything she can to paint this is as a lie...for what will she say to Kesar then?? How will she fight him after she finally admits that his love IS true? Gulaal can't bear her defenses being weakened like this...

Dushyant was never even close to breaching these defenses...Kesar on the other hand has always held great power over Gulaal...since childhood only.

LOL it's funny how the human mind works in so many different ways...another telling moment to me in the last scene when I was rewatching it last night was the after Kesar tells her she does not need to do all this heavy lifting on her own and should call him to do it for her and he adds in exasperation that she just HAS to do everything on her own, haina?...and Gulaal says in this cold sort of tone..."aadat hai mujhe"...This has also now become HABIT...and it's hard to change habits, isn't it?? She's habituated herself to being alone, doing everything alone...so she's not comfortable with anyone...least of all KESAR changing that equation in her life...
