Written Update June 29, 2011

Gulaal wants to enter the kitchen when she sees Sudha serving Raman food. Sudha tells her that her work is not done yet. Jamna asks if she has come to take breakfast for Kesar, Gulaal says no for Mota Bha. Sudha throws some more taunts Gulaal's way and calls her a hypocrite. Jamna tells Gulaal that she has to accept Kesar one day so why not today, Gulaal tells her to only say what Gulaal can hear. Jamna gets furious and tells her that the world doesn't revolve around Gulaal's will, she decided to do deeyarvattu, she herself went to panchayat to break it and now returned to the house on her own will. Gulaal tells her that there is a difference between will and helplessness, but Jamna will not understand that. Jamna gets even more angry and raises her voice. Sudha doesn't let Gulaal enter the kitchen.

Talli comes there and sees Gulaal standing in a sorry state. Gheegha kaka asks Talli where Kesar is, Talli says he left because he was angry. Jamna asks he left without breakfast. Raman says obviously with what is happening Kesar is justified in being angry. Gheegha kaka asks him to let it be, Jamna supports Raman saying that the entire night Kesar slept outside. She asks Gulaal why she compelled him to sleep outside, after all he is her husband, what is the point of her returning if she had to send him outside. Gheegha kaka tells her to let it be since its between husband and wife. Raman insists and supports Kesar, Talli says that Kesar himself decided to sleep outside, Jamna yells at her to be quiet and says that at least Gulaal should have stopped him. She tells Gulaal to remember clearly that she has been taken back into the house only because she is Kesar's wife, else what is her relationship with that house. Gulaal feels very hurt hearing this and leaves. Mota Bha and Paan Baa can say all they want that as long as they are around nothing can happen to Gulaal, but that is not the case. Had Gulaal lived like a widow she would have been treated much worse. Her marrying Kesar is good for herself and her life, because there are all these vultures around her who are ready to rip her apart at the drop of a hat. It seems like things have gone back to after Vasant died - Jamna and her family were after Kesar and Gulaal saved him, now they are after her and Kesar should now support her.

Kesar is in the temple telling the Goddess that he has become so alone, nobody tries to understand him, Gulaal says that his love is wrong, why, Gulaal is measuring his love from her principles, she has built a fort around herself by the name Vasant and doesn't want to come out of it, but is there any boundary on love, how can one measure love, no matter how old a man compared with a woman people don't raise a finger, but if a man is younger it is a problem, why, he doesn't understand such hypocrisy and doesn't want to understand it, why should he see right and wrong from the world's perspective, God knows everything that there is no sin in Kesar's mind, all he has is love for Gulaal. He joins his hands and crying pleads with God to give Gulaal the realization of his love once, he truly loves her with all his heart. Kesar says all of this so well, clearly nobody understands him, and he has no outlet. He is as lonely as Gulaal. He continues that he will die without her.

Gulaal flashbacks to Jamna's words about taking her back only because she is Kesar's wife and cries while working in the kitchen. Talli tells her that her father has come to visit her. Gulaal tries to smile while seeing him, he asks for Kesar, Gulaal says he must be at the factory. He asks her if she is fine, she says yes, he says that he is worried about her because of the circumstances under which she returned, how will she live there, how must everyone be behaving with her. Gulaal tells him that he worries too much, she can take care of herself, her relationship with this family is years old, this house is hers. While saying this Gulaal has tears in her eyes and is fake smiling. Her father doesn't want to worry her so despite knowing her plight he shows that he believes her, wipes her tears and in a broken voice takes his leave. After he leaves Gulaal weeps. This is where I think Vasant and Gulaal's dreams for the family and village are futile. Despite doing so much they are still alone, just like Dushyant is now.

Gulaal's father returns home and tells Poonam that he went to see Gulaal. She scolds him because she doesn't want Gulaal's in-laws to think that they don't trust them and had to visit her, and she is scared of his anger at Kesar because it may create more problems for Gulaal. She asks him to stay away from Gulaal for a few days. He tells her that Gulaal is all alone there, Poonam melts and asks if Gulaal said that, he said no but he is her father and despite her trying to hide he could see that she is nothing more than a zombie there, and cries. Poonam feels bad and cries too, but reiterates that they will need to stay away from Gulaal for a few days for her own good, if they keep supporting her she will find it harder to adjust in that house. For Gulaal's good they will need to be stone-hearted, Kesar can take care of her. He says that Kesar should first take care of himself.

Gulaal packs a bag of food for Talli and Kesar in the factory. Talli tells Gulaal to eat something, she refuses. She says that Kesar has not eaten anything since morning and asks Talli to give him the food, Talli asks her to go, Gulaal makes excuses that she has a lot of work. Sudha comes there and declares that Talli will not go anywhere, she should not care whether Kesar ate or not, if Gulaal cares so much she should take it herself. She tells Talli that they have ruined her life yet why is she doing their bidding, Kesar left her in her wedding ceremony, no need to do anything for him. She tells Gulaal not to increase Talli's pain by sending her to Kesar time and again. Sudha is right here - Gulaal continues to push Talli towards Kesar without having any regard for her feelings. She knows how Talli feels for Kesar, and even though Talli hesitates Gulaal cajoles her into doing things for Kesar on her behalf. Its not fair to Talli. Talli is still caught between the two. When Sudha says this, the flute music plays. Whenever that music plays I get the feeling that the situation is supposed to happen to bring Kesar and Gulaal together, and every incident with the flute music is a stepping stone to their union. Sudha takes Talli inside. Gulaal feels sad and lonely. The phone rings - it is Dushyant asking for Kesar, Gulaal says he is in the factory, Dushyant says that Kesar is not here, Gulaal says that Kesar was angry and left without eating anything in the morning, Dushyant says he will bring him home. Gulaal flashbacks to Kesar's words that if his being close to her causes her so much pain he will stay away from her.

Precap: It is raining. Dushyant covers Kesar, who is lying on the bed unwell. Jamna thanks God that Dushyant reached in time, she looks at Gulaal and tells her that her behavior got Kesar in this situation, Gulaal says that its possible that Kesar's own behavior put him in this situation.
