Kesar asks himself despairingly why is this happening to him, he will not be able to live like this, why is Gulaal doing this to him, then he screams Gulaal. Gulaal is sleeping but starts at the same time as Kesar yells her name, she looks around wondering if someone is there, and goes back to sleep. Then she hears her name again and looks at Kesar outside her window yelling her name. Her parents wake up as well. He looks at her with so much pain and despair, and crying in a breaking voice asks her to come home, he will do whatever she says, he asks her to listen to just one thing and come home, she asks him if he is mad, he said yes he has become mad, he has no control over himself, no matter how much he tries to run from her thoughts they don't leave him, she doesn't want to see his face but her face never leaves his mind, he tries going far away from her but she comes closer to him, wherever he looks he sees her. Gulaal's parents overhear this in their room. He asks her what is this if not madness, he pleads with her to come else he will go mad, she refuses and says that he has crossed all boundaries, she asks him stop this and return home, he pleads with her not to get mad, he folds his hand and says he cannot live without her and pleads with her to come home, she shuts her window. Kesar continues pleading and asking why is she mad at him, he is her Kesar, and he keeps yelling her name. Gulaal doesn't budge and lays on her bed and falls asleep. How can she sleep? What a cold heartless woman. But now that I think back, for 10 years Kesar refused to meet Gulaal, each time she returned home, didn't eat and was sad for the next few days at his rejection. We never saw Gulaal's sadness, but the tables are turned and we are seeing Kesar's sadness which is unbearable. Initially Gulaal had happy moments because of young Kesar, but after he left she just turned into her shell and forgot to live.
In the morning Gulaal wakes up and remembers the event from the night before and goes to the window to see if Kesar is still there, Kesar was sleeping outside on the floor, she worries about him and shuts her window again.
Reva comes outside to Kesar and asks what he is doing there, she blames him for misbehaving and asks him to think of Mota Bha's honor, her honor since she will have to listen to so much because of his behavior. Poor Kesar looks so lost and alone and misunderstood, he knows he is wrong but he cannot help it and needs some support. Reva asks him to leave. Kesar looks so sad seeing Gulaal's window shut.
Paan Baa is worried looking for Kesar. Jamna tells her that Kesar must have gone to Gulaal's place, Kesar is Paan Baa's son so she should understand Kesar's heart's desire better than her, but nobody wants to understand or listen to Kesar, on one hand his age and now this behavior, on the other hand Gulaal's attitude, if Kesar does something wrong. Paan Baa asks her to be quiet, Kesar is not so weak. Kesar comes there and Paan Baa asks where he was, Jamna asks him if he went to see Gulaal, Kesar looks at her forlorn and goes inside without responding. Jamna tells Paan Baa that before anything bad happens she must do something for Kesar, and saying so she takes a cool sip of tea and leaves. Jamna is hilarious, I love her expressions and her coolly sipping tea while everything around her is falling apart. Its as if she is enjoying all this drama. She is my favorite character.
Poonam scolds Gulaal saying that the whole night Kesar sat outside but Gulaal, being his wife, is an ice maiden, she is making a big mistake by insulting her husband, anyone's heart would melt seeing his condition. She continues scolding, Gulaal says fine she will leave right now if she doesn't like her living there, but no matter what she will not go back to Mota Bha's place. Reva tries to pacify her. Poonam asks her to put herself in her place and understand, Gulaal tells her to put herself in her place and see it from her perspective, and leaves. Reva tells Poonam to let Gulaal be for sometime.
Kesar is pacing around in his room and is worried and restless. He flashbacks to the night before, wondering what more can he do to bring her back. Dushyant comes there and sits next to Kesar. Dushyant tells him that first of all he should not have agreed to marry Talli and cause her so much pain, panchayat decided in his favor, but Gulaal didn't agree with it so now he is causing her pain, if Gulaal doesn't think of him as her husband he cannot force her to see his way, nothing will be achieved by going there. Kesar tells him that he went there to get Gulaal back. Dushyant asks him to get a hold of himself and let Gulaal be, Kesar tells him that he knows what to do and doesn't need Dushyant's advice, and leaves.
Gulaal looks so unhappy, as if she is just a zombie. Reva tells her that she cannot see both Gulaal and Kesar unhappy. Poonam comes there and brings food for Gulaal. Poonam tells her that since Gulaal has come there Poonam's behavior has not been good, but the reason is her love, she worries a lot about Gulaal's future, she cannot live there her whole life. She feeds Gulaal with her own hands. I wish Kesar had that kind of an atmosphere. Everyone around Kesar only cares about Gulaal and Talli, nobody cares about Kesar, even Paan Baa worries about him but cannot get through to him, and when he tries she reverts back to his wrong-doing to Talli. It pisses me off to no extent that everyone points fingers at Kesar all the time. Jamna is the only saving grace of this show. As a kid, Kesar was spoiled, but for the last 10 years he has lived alone and his own parents don't care about him when he returns. Vasant was the only person who cared and now he is gone.
Talli comes there while Poonam is feeding Gulaal, and Poonam doesn't like it one bit. Gulaal hugs her happily, Talli asks her how she is, Poonam says that with Talli around how can Gulaal be fine. Gulaal takes her to her room. Gulaal tells her to take care of herself, her face has lost its color. I just don't get Gulaal. Kesar looks so helpless and forlorn, but Gulaal can only see Talli's sadness. She doesn't give a damn about Kesar. Its just too much - I am totally sick of this show. Its stuck in this rut with Gulaal carrying on like this for so long. Gulaal asks how Mota Bha and Paan Baa are at home, Talli tells her how lonely they are, especially Kesar, who misses her a lot. She tells Gulaal that Kesar will never love her, and now even she doesn't want him to. She asks Gulaal to return home. Gulaal says she cannot, Kesar doesn't realize that what he feels for her is a misunderstanding, and there is just one way to remove it, the feeling that was created by living close to Gulaal can be destroyed only by staying apart. Gulaal is so delusional, Kesar knows her so well, which is why he told her that nothing will change by her leaving. Kesar is now an adult and can make this decision on his own, Gulaal is still making the call for him, she will never ever learn. I have never disliked a lead character so much. Kesar needs to give her some breathing space though. Gulaal sees Talli crying and wipes her tears and tells her that they will go outside to the temple.
Both Gulaal and Talli are in the temple. Gulaal keeps looking at Talli as if she is so in love with her and cannot see her pain. The more empathy Gulaal shows for Talli, the more angry I get. Doesn't Kesar deserve this empathy? After all Gulaal put him in the deeyarvattu situation, and she blames him for thinking of her as his wife. Mota Bha had even warned her about it. Gulaal goes to apply God's color on Talli's forehead when Kesar comes there, and Gulaal and Kesar look at each other, Gulaal's face loses color, Talli looks at both of them, but Kesar as usual has eyes only for Gulaal.
Precap: Kesar tells Dushyant that he has come to complain about his wife, she refuses to come home and is insulting him and the panchayat's decision. He has come to the panchayat for help in bringing her back. Dushyant looks constipated. Something must have happened, Gulaal must have said something to Kesar related to Talli or misbehaved with him else he would never take such a step, and he looked so angry in the precap. At this point I don't know if Kesar is doing the right thing, but I am sick of Gulaal and wish for his sake that he finds someone else. Gulaal doesn't deserve him, neither does Talli. He needs someone much better.
