Yep that moment in the end was beautifully shown...the way the journey in a sense ended on Gulaal...and Gulaal can see in that moment that her Kesar is very much there...he has not forgotten...and the tears in her eyes there as she watches him...the best part was again that there weren't any dialogues...just Kesar's expressions as he turned each page and Gulaal's as she watched him and the expressions on his face as he went back in time to each memory captured in those photographs.
Waise Anu...first of all congrats for being hte banner contest winner for Bhagonwali...I never knew he watched that show😆..the best part of Gulaal are the scenes without dialogues...there is so much scope for interpretations...
The coin scenes have all been awesome...such different tones to all three...the first one in their first meet after 10 years has Kesar at his most sarcastic, hidden taunts best...and the charged air to the way K and G look at each other...Kesar's suspicion of her, his anger, his hurt at her were all expressed there...I loved Gulaal's expression when she looks at him after the coin is captured in his hands..."kya hua?"
The second one with a mischievous Gulaal tricking him into drinking the milk...she was quite adorable in that one😆 and Kesar's expressions as he looks at her there...irritated at losing but on some level this game b/w them they both enjoy😆
...
The third one obviously changing things...Gulaal spooked by the change she sees in Kesar...the look in his eyes and the way he tells her that she looks nice in open hair...it's an interesting touch in the end to me that Kesar doesn't regret saying that...he says his piece and then just leaves...no apologies😆...but for Gulaal, it was an uncomfortable moment of awareness...oh and a bit I liked earlier in this scene is the way Kesar looks at the green bangles on her wrist and smiles...just that much only gives him so much happiness😆...that last scene is my siggie...the first one and the second one are yours😆 and they both are are so awesome..in the first scene a sarcastic kesar and a bewildered Gulaal...and in the second one a full-in-control Gulaal and a totally smitten Kesar😳 .and yes the bangles wala look...again the silent look and the understanding...done so subtly still we understood that look😳
I also liked the imli scene cuz it's hilarious to me that even though technically the convo was going on b/w K and T...the REAL convo was obviously happening b/w KG without them saying a word to each other😆...Kesar's ego didn't allow him to directly apologize but both him and G knew that the imli was really for her😆
.the imli was the starting na...the first sign of a thawing Kesar...and the way he stares at her eating imli...a satisfied smile on his face...awww...sooo ...cute...
It is such an odd predicament they face...they have always shared an understanding, affection, love (maybe of different kinds) but now they are at such a juncture that they will have to battle against these very things that they are so comfortable with each other over in order to understand that the relationship has evolved...very much for Kesar but it will take some time for Gulaal.
.The one thing that I like is that Kesar's acceptance of Gulaal and her superiority over him...he so wishes to see her the reigning queen...but still has that childish urge that she should give him her full attention and obey him..Like the way he reacted when Gullu gave Dushy's name for sarpanch...and the way he retained that slight stutter on the 'Mein' like he did in his childhood...
One thing that they've shown very nicely is the understanding and bonding they both have over their love for Vasant...Kesar does understand Vasant's place in Gulaal's life yet at the very same time, to him she has always been his wife and that's just plain fact to him...
.Exactly I just love the way Vasant acts as a bridge between them..like the time when Gulaal was overwhelmed with the news of a school starting in Vasant's name..and she came running in her room..and everybody lets her be...but Kesuda follows her andtells her why is she hiding her tears...they are for Vasant...why should you be ashamed of them...that was one awesome scene...
Hmm ok I've gotten carried away blabbering...you asked me which scene got me hooked? LOL...none in particular I'd say...but I saw the clip of Gulaal coin toss scene I think and was intrigued...then caught up on a few more scenes and in a sense got more hooked cuz of watching the recent weeks of epis with all the build up in the angst and charged drama...then kind of went back and caught up on all the scenes you'd mentioned too😆...the letter scenes which show the real depth of Kesar's turmoil and his love for Gulaal even as he battles all his confusions, suspicions...it is amazing indeed how everything is connected to Gulaal only...shikva bhi usse, shikaayat bhi usse aur pyar bhi...they are just connected. Na I know re ...I too blabber na,...this story has that effect...I had been watching Gulaal when Vasant was alive...and boy that was one magical story too...but Vasant was such a goody two shoes...and you know I said earlier too...now Gulaal has become like Vasant...except that Vasant did not have Gulaal's dominance..and Kesar is the same as Gulaal...defiant in his own way...trying to carve out a niche of his own and fighting for what he believes in and loves...and as you say...they are just connected😳😳
