What was Kesar so involved in that he did not hear the women is quite surprising. Kesar did not feel too happy when his ignorance was brought to light by Dushyant. And why on earth was that Talli grinning 'Ram jaane!!. Kesar is really being pushed to the threshold of his patience by Talli. How does he even put up with her for so long? She was really annoying him by addressing him Maalik. She has clearly been subject to his fury many times before. And still??
And what was that when she screamed out "Baap re!!!", I was wondering'.Baap re!! what has put her life at stake. Kesar was bewildered seeing that she screamed out for no reason but in admiration of the Chunar. I can still understand Gulaal's situation when she was pushed to marry Kesar. A generation next, a decade later, Talli is living in the fantasy world. I am confused whether Talli's character was planned to irritate viewers or to find sympathy with viewers. Just not clear with that. If it is the first one, she is doing a good job, if it's otherwise; she has lots to improve though I found her better in those emotional scenes.
Just last night, the room was so tidy. But the way it was shown, seemed like someone has deliberately messed it.
This was such a powerful scene between Kesar and Gulaal. Once more, Kesar snatches it from her in time. He was too shocked to see her with the letter that he has guarded secretly for so long. When Gulaal insists that the letter belongs to her since it's addressed to her and also demands it from him with "De', Kesar refuses with a firm Nahi". Btw, why would a letter not posted have a postal stamp??
Kesar tried in vain to distract her thoughts asking her "What's for dinner". But Gulaal was persistent. Kesar was absolutely worried till he secured the letter away from her and we could still see that tension in his body language where he was rubbing his hands against his pocket to be double sure it's safe enough. Kesar could not quickly come up with a reasoning that his tone was really low when he starts with a hushed "Woh" but then gathered courage to tell her that he had forgotten to post the letter. A lame excuse which both knew and we could see the continued worry in Kesar's eyes when he asked her how she knew it was an old letter. I think he was worried if she did partly read the letter. I felt sad when Kesar dismissed it saying that the content was just a birthday wish and irrelevant things because we know how much of truth it beholds. The way Kesar just closed his eyes to absorb the blatant lies that he had uttered was just superb.
Gulaal's one question '."Bahut gussa tha mujhpe Kesar?" What a question to ask? If not why would a child who loved her the most would refuse to meet her for 10 long years. And that led to unleash of the pent up emotions. That dialogue was beautifully uttered. The pause with the nod of the head after "Dus saal", and continuation saying "dus saal tak, tu ne mujhe apne se door rakha Gulaal". The scene and the performance had so much intensity. That one statement said it all and I must say his eyes clearly reflected the ten long years of pain, hurt, longingness, the lost out moments with her, of separation, loneliness and everything that had been bottled up within him. And it could be felt when we could see Kesar almost having a lump in his throat, was unable to say anything further, tears welled up in his eyes and fearing that his vulnerable self would come out more shockingly in the open, in front of Gulaal, he just walked out of the room to compose himself. That left Gulaal in an utter state of shock and disbelief. I feel this one incident of how he reacted is enough for Gulaal to know that Kesar's feelings for her runs deep, much more than she could ever imagine. Gulaal could only see a glimpse of all his hidden emotions. I have no words to say how beautiful this scene was. Beautiful rendition by Neil and Manasi has complimented well in this scene.
I don't think Gulaal would need any more proof to Kesar's feelings when he would give her the Chunar tomorrow. Now the million dollar question, will she take it? Will she tell Talli or will she hand it over to Talli? If Gulaal doesn't tell Talli, eventually she would chew out Kesar's brain before he tells her flat on her face that he has given to Gulaal. How will she take it? Will she ask Gulaal, if so what will Gulaal say? Now Gulaal can't deny the truth. If she gives it To Talli, obviously Talli would go back to Kesar to ask why he did not give her directly. Now the possibility is Gulaal telling lies that Kesar is not able to bring himself to give it to you, so has asked me to give you. Will that help her in the long run? Confusing right? Let's wait for tomorrow.
