So finally caught up with 9th May and could not resist this one...This one was a again Kesar Kesar and Kesar...Well since Lennnie and Reema always put beautiful posts on the epi...I am not going to do double posting and concentrating where the heart lies😉...He he ...Kesariya Balam😳...😛
Am in a bit of a hurry so am Concentrating on just two scenes...

The first one Kesar with Talli and Gulaal listening...
Talli is one stupid cupid, hai na...😆

She unknowingly made Kesar aware that the he would not do it for anyone else...you could actually see Kesar himself shocked to the core...the violence which had been consistently oozing out of him suddenly whooshed out and you could see a reflective and totally floored Kesar...you could actually see the wheels of thoughts actually churning in his head and asking the reason which Gulaal had been shouting at the top of her voice, why was he so violent??? and would he be so violent had it be someone else??anyone else??? and you know...you just know that he is afraid to answer himself...That is realization...
It hits him so hard knocking the air out of his lungs...

And Talli Rani gets upset that he gave this vague answer...haw haw haw😆😆😆...Madam if he had given you the right answer ...you would have had a heart break... ..so thank your lucky stars for this answer...

I dont know but somehow more than the actual conversation I liked this scene where Kesar is sitting with back to the door, unaware of Gulaal and Talli calling Gulaal and Kesar realizing that Gulaal would have heard the talks..and if not the whole thing, then the last question posed by Talli and his vague answer...
and he knows, he just knows that Gulaal knows him so well that she would know he had evaded an answer, and the fear so visible on his face, a fear that 'had she guessed what I myself am not able to understand?'

The moment she entered, he avoided meeting his eyes, afraid that she would read his thoughts...
And the way he is shocked that she is worried about the person who had insulted her, the incredulity and the frustration on this goodness named Gulaal was so visible on his face...
Gulaal slowly penetrates his mind...he understands the extremity of his actions, but ...but he would not admit that he was wrong...the way he says 'Ehsaas hai'...Somehow I felt that he was not talking about the guilt ehsaas or the consequences...he was talking about some other ehsaas...and that is why the immediate line...'Bardaasht nahi kar sakta' . which he checks himself, before completing it...
I loved the fact that Gulaal could convince him of the fact, that nobody else was able to ...I remembered Gulaal saying to Motabha, that Kesar will listen to me...so Spot on was she...
By the way I dont know whether it was a co-incidence or deliberate move, but I loved young Kesar's photo hanging behind while Kesar was standing near the window arguing with Gulaal...It seemed significant to me...Would like to know you guys' opinion😃

The second scene...the repentance ...the way he walks in after hearing Motabha...the tears welling in his eyes made me cry and want to hug him (Ok so that was a phrase and am not hugging him, girls, there is absolutely no need to be violent😛)

He remembers all the time he had been unfair to Gulaal, from the child Kesar to the grown up, he had rejected Gulaal's unconditional affection towards him, his derogating attitude worsened day by day after his return, He remembers the incredulous and deeply hurt expression on Gulaal's face and it seems so unbearable ...his disgust towards himself is evident and he is humbled when he remembers Gulaal's unwaivering faith and devotion towards him after that river drowning scene...He is brought to his knees ...and boy !! he does that in style👏
The bangles scene was so discussed that I am not going much into it...Just that I loved the fact that he just glances the letter and doesnot read it but is reciting it nevertheless, as if he knows what is written in it by heart...as if the words were embedded in his heart..and the way he crumples the letter...as if crumpling all the misunderstandings, hatred and anger towards Gulaal, his tears washing away all those negative feelings, and out emerges the eternal lover...oh...how to describe that...I dont know...

The scene when he enters Gulaal's room and watches her...can you get it better...you could see he is having trouble breathing...so powerful are his emotions...and the moment Gulaal turns her side and faces him...My!! for that one moment all you could see is his one eye...and the chin..the rest of his face in the shadows and you still could see the emotions oozing out of that...one eye and you could write an epic...then slowly his face comes in picture and you could see that he knows he has lost the battle with his emotions..he just surrenders...he has realized there is no escape from this woman, he was hers, from the time eternal be and to the eternal time to come...

Owww...and do I need to say about the look he gives when he walks out of the room, that last turn of his head and the longing in his eyes... *sigh**sigh* and double *sigh*...
Aarti now I know why you changed your mind and entered into that duel with Shalini😆
and Shalini since I didnot want to spam any other thread..am making a new post so that my dear spammers can have a gala time 😆

Tid biits

By the way who sleeps in full sringar at night...doesn't all the jewellery and embroidery pinch Gulaal😕

The scene between Talli and Gulaal on the terrace had some excellent photgraphy...wonderful delight to the eyes...I would have made an avi atleast had Kesar been there...but am not so mad as to make an avi on Gulaal and Talli😛haw haw...

So guys...these were my thoughts😳...Lennie...I was posting this on your thread..but two scenes and this long would have cluttered your thread, hence posting here...
Hope you guys dont mind😳
Would love to know your thoughts and pardon the typos ...they are the essential part of my being😃😆

The beginning scene showed Kesar's surprise at Talli's behavior when in fact he was genuinely going to answer her. Wasn't she fine with him while asking if he got the bangles for Gulaal. I think she is confused when she has fought with him ...and when not.

Kesar was the happy and caring brother seeing Rewa. He is wondering when Rewa says "teri khabar lene aayi thi". When he gets his sisters support he feels happy when she commented that he cares for Gulaal. He was happy in getting that acknowledgement from his sister. The expression just shifts to disappointment when Gulaal is telling Rewa not to appreciate him for the wrong doing. The scene was special to me because rather being loud about his feelings; the expression change from feeling good to disappointment is subtle.

The apology was more genuine from his side for his behavior with her so far than the incident that occurred because I am sure he knows he was not wrong in his reaction for the guys' comments. I felt he decided to apologize because no one seemed to appreciate his concern for her, mainly Gulaal. And he mentions that not just for that but for what he has done till date which wasn't liked by all(Gulaal). Did that really move her? It did not reflect as much, though she was in tears. When Gulaal Mayya told him to seek forgiveness from Yogesh, Kesar was clueless as to why but when he hears that his sister is suffering, Kesar's expression as he looked at her conveyed so much hurt and apology upon realizing the gravity of the situation.

Kesar's apology to Gulaal's parents seemed sincere. But he was so considerate to tell them that he could understand Yogesh's frame of mind. But he was familiarized with the fact that he was "Gulaal's pati" twice during the visit.
The last scene where Gulaal looks at a sleeping Kesar was a lovely scene.
The cinematography in this scene showing a sleeping Kesar is marvellous. One scene showed Gulaal watching Kesar, Kesar sleeping and his relection in the mirror. The partly blurred image of Gulaal was on the left, whereas we get to see Kesar ...sleeping with his face turned towards the mirror but the light from the nightlamp falling on Kesar's face is visible only in Kesar's reflection in the mirror. There was an aesthetic feel to this shot. There was some peace reflecting on Kesar's face as he slept. Probably for the time-being he is relieved of the burden about Gulaal in the Vasant murder issue and with his apology.

Kesar was in good mood and high spirits that he volunteered to go to town for doing the job. He was civil with Dushyant even calling him Dushyant Ba. Kesar's hostility returned when Dushyant advises him, firmly refused his accompaniment, but Kesar covered it up with a smile and firmly said that he knows to fight adverse situations.

Kesar is magnetically drawn towards Gulaal's room listening to her humming to a tune and adorning herself. Kesar has no inhibitions in pushing the door a little wider to have a proper glimpse of her."Khule baal" and there goes Kesar'totally flat. He is so besotted by her beauty. Gulaal notices him, turns around but she had to call out to him to break his trance when he reacted with a "Haan". That was an awkward moment for both of them. He still manages to meet her, Gulaal attempts in vain to veil herself.

When he says he stopped by to ask if she wanted anything from the town, Gulaal Mayya is so overwhelmed. My My'It looked as though Mayya is happy that her "little boy" has "grown up". Just can't get that. I found it a little overdramatic when she attempted to show her happiness. Even Kesar asked her "Why ? Shouldn't I be going? because he himself couldn't fathom her reaction.

Kesar is still concerned to know how she felt rather than Vasant. "Aur tum" He always cared for what she felt. Loved it when Kesar takes a glance at the bangles she wore. It was important to him to see her wear what he had bought for her so lovingly. It was just a glance but it conveyed so much meaning how much Kesar attaches importance to those little things about Gulaal and her likes. When Gulaal called out to him, he smiled as he felt 'Oh yes, so finally you do want something from the town" and so asks her "Kya mangvaana hai?".

Gulaal had to force Talli with him. Why not? She is on a matchmaking spree. Poor Kesar requested her not to mete out that injustice to him. Loved his reaction to the probabilities of toss, especially the transition in expressions of disinterest as he said " Seedha aaya toh le jaounga" to that of excitement of not having to take her along when he said " ulta aaya toh nahi le jaounga ". It started as a fun moment. Gulaal's excitement to check the result of the coin toss brought her a step closer to him. Her closeness and her bubbling enthusiasm changed his thoughts. Her closeness had indeed created havoc in the young mind that Kesar had to blurt it so boldly "Khule baalon mein tu zyaada acchi lagti hai". Now that's more a personal comment from a guy. When he said those he had the warmth in the eyes, softness and he was confident to reveal it to her that she was more beautiful with her hair let down. I appreciate Gulaal's reaction here of that of surprise and shock. Kesar held the gaze and himself broke the eye contact with her. Obviously no one has told her that in many years now so that was the first reality check for her though more was waiting for her in the form of Poonambha. What the guys at the temple told about Deeyarvattu was differently put by Poonambha. Wonder how Kesar would have reacted had he overheard their conversation.

It surprised me again when Kesar went that extra step to ask Gulaal to accompany them. Oh Gulaal'He is asking you out on a date, aur tumhe ghar ke kaam ki padi hai. Talli was annoying him, Gulaal was driving him away. Kesar's longingness to be with Gulaal was brought out so well. Kesar was just not interested to leave her and go. With Talli, it's been the Tom and Jerry story.

Kesar seems to have become cordial with Gulaal, yet his goal remains to be achieved to find Durgesh to reach at Vasant's murder mystery. Kesar had no choice but to speak to those transvestites. He had that perfect scandalized look hearing their comments. That was nicely done. Poor guy he is genuine and straightforward when he says "Aap jaise kisi ki talaash thi" and those women have a different meaning to it and comment "Kaun hai who khushnaseeb". I really enjoyed this scene. Good work, Neil. He has been invited to the basti/settlement. Wonder if Kesar really knows what they meant by "Basti me aa ja".

Precap

Seems to me like Kesar is now more vocal in his demands from Gulaal by insisting she does what she had been doing for him and clearly does not prefer Talli doing it. 'Tu bhi toh us zindagi ka hissa hai. Waiting for the show today.

Today when Kesar got mesmerized as Gulaal was adorning herself he is drawn towards her room. He totally surprised me he even goes to the extent of pushing the door of the room more open to get a better glimpse of her. Of course when Gulaal caught him there was a sudden awkwardness around them, but then again when he plays the coin toss game and compliments Gulaal so openly and boldly he does not break eye contact with her at all, Gulaal is left stupefied but Kesar left the room and it was HE only who finally broke the eye contact with her.
I feel that Kesar has found this new confidence, when he saw Gulaal lovingly adorn herself with the bangles he brought her, then again when she gets so pleased with him for shouldering responsibilities she says Vasant will be so happy. But Kesar asks "Aur Tum" and Gulaal says yes that she is very happy and now she can burden Kesar's shoulders with more responsibilities, I was just watching Kesar's eyes and they seemed to fall on her bangles again. Obviously Kesar will be pleased. Neil you again were so fantastic today, such a bundle of surprises you are. I mean every role whether it is anger, the naughtiness at coin toss or the completely enamored by Gulaal look, everything is just so perfect.

There is a young woman in Gulaal that rarely comes out and today was one of those days, her peek to see how Kesar's coin toss landed had her move in closer to Kesar and the proximity Oh Boy!! did it create havoc in Kesar's mind and heart. Kesar ji I was holding my breath too cause I knew something was about to happpen but you caught me completely by surprise Kesar when you suddenly blurted out " Talli sahi kah rahi thi tum khule baalon mein zyaada achi lagti ho". Oh!! God I was exactly left like Gulaal mouth agape.:):) That came completely out of the blue, Kesar himself probably never expected to blurt out. When he entered Gulaal's room again mesmerized by her (oh!! I absolutely love that look of Kesar) and Gulaal breaks his trance there was a sense of awkardness in him, but he quickly covers it up by asking Gulaal if she wanted something from the city. Now Gulaal's reaction was ..hmmm ahem, ahem let me think OK today I will go easy on Gulaal because Kesar was so damn good. Dont want to spoil my mood. I will give Gulaal one credit though, the shock on her face looked genuine, maybe the director did not give her a clue before hand as to what to expect, hence the shock looked natural.
Moving on to our dear Kesar, who nowadays can't seem to get his eyes off or stay away from Gulaal asks her out on a date of some sort...Gulaal tum bhi chalo na, tera ghoomna bhi ho jaayega but of course our Gulaal Mayya has to cook and take care of the house. All the burdens of the house are on her of course. Talli dearest is waiting for Kesar impatiently. It is so clear to all of us and Gulaal also that Kesar is not interested in Talli in any romantic angle, yet she is hell bent on match making them together. Kesar kuch karo jaldi. My biggest hugs go to Poonamba today, like any mother she is intent on securing her child's future, nothing wrong in that. But this Gulaal is very stubborn, Kesar only will have to set her right. Cant wait to see that day. Please woh din jaldi aa jaao.

Kesar had an important work to attend to that he dropped Talli nearby than at home. He was not willing to tell her what he was up to. And Talli never seems to be willing to give Kesar some space and rather is stuck to him always. When he said he had some important work, Talli doesn't seem to understand that the guy could have any other work other than taking care of her and her requirements. This is unhealthy in terms of a ???probable marriage. Kesar showed his annoyance but firmly told her to find her way home.

I was absolutely taken by surprise that Kesar actually went to meet the boss to apologize. The style of apologizing was also so sincere. So genuine were his intentions because he couldn't bear his sister Rewa in trouble due to the incident, but unfortunately that is going to backfire. It showed a different side of Kesar of that of a really concerned brother because, rather than apologizing to Rewa's in-laws and getting over with that, he brought himself to meet the boss just for the sake of his sister. That was appreciable.

Kesar was lost in one of those letters he had written to Gulaal. He was smilingly reminiscing what he had written to her way back then. Kesar seems to be attached to those letters as well, the way he was softly stroking the letter and remembering his complaint about not liking anything without Gulaal around him at the hostel. The softness of the tone reminded me of the child Kesar especially when he said "woh mujhe milti hi nahi hai" which had a streak of innocence. Rather than get a feel of older Kesar reading out the letter he had written in childhood, the content could be related to the mind frame of the young Kesar feeling lonely in the hostel. The voice modulations were done well.

Startled by her call (that scene came out naturally), smartly hiding the letter under the pillow, Kesar quickly dismisses saying "Kuch nahi, kuch nahi". Spontaneously a story was cooked up, to get Gulaal around him for some time when she would organize his room for him. Mention of Talli and Kesar wanted to know why she wouldn't. He was sulking, asking Gulaal that she promised and why she isn't doing it now. Kesar has become more and more bold each day that when Gulaal reminded him that he had restricted her, he says "What difference it makes if I said that, you are part of my life". He expected that even if he had told her, it's her right to do things for him as before. It surprised Gulaal yet again but I felt she deliberately dismissed it. Kesar's expression was so perfect. He was stunned himself with 'Eh ??what did I say just now? And at a point he himself couldn't believe he said what he actually told her. That came as a surprise to him too. I think that he always believed that Gulaal is part of his life; it's just that he blurted out now what has all the while been in his heart.

Kesar was not so happy seeing Talli at their factory. When someone is constantly behind you, we tend to avoid them. Everyone needs their space. When someone gives you that space, we tend to seek that person more. Actually if you go to see, Gulaal gave Kesar that space when he said he can take care of himself. So he misses that and is looking for reasons to get her back to doing it.

Precap: Kesar is sure to give it to Gulaal unless and until it accidentally falls into Talli's hands due to our very own Gulaal's "misdeeds". Poor Talli is gonna be floating up in the air.sad, that would be a great fall from there

Yesterdays episode was pure enjoyment. One particular scene is where he was so lost in thoughts about Gulaal's absence in the hostel. He did not want to miss a chance so he found an excuse to make her stay back. He seemed happy with himself thinking he has convinced Gulaal to arrange his room. So beautiful. Neil, you had done the scene so beautifully as Kesar could not believe his own ears of what he finally told her. Kesar is totally lost, the more he has Gulaal around, he just blabbers whatever is within his heart.

So I start with the 12 May wala episode when Kesar takes on the responsibilit.. I somehow like this 'sticking to his word' wala Kesar (LOL somehow is such lame word...I am just loving him...period!!!😆) ...Whatever he does, he doesnot do it sublimely...he does it whole heartedly, completely and truthfully...He said he would take up the responsibilities and he is doing it..even when Dushyant wanted to give him an easy way out, he did not take it...He is not afraid to make mistakes, which he is bound to, considering his inexperience, but he is not even humble to accept it...he just takes up the challenge as a routine...

By the way did someone feel that he has mellowed down towards Dushyant also??? He was not taunting him or making snide remarks at him, he just took up the responsibility and brushed away all Dushyant's worries by a smile of reassurance towards Motabha...

And the moment you see Gulaal getting ready and singing...you know you are in for a whooosy whooosy scene ahead...the way he opens up a crack of Gulaal's door and stares at her...there is such blatant adolescence oozzing out in this scene...(By the way it was interesting Gulaal was singing a Gopi song...Mara paalavde bandhayo Jashoda no jaayo...that yashoda's son has been bound to my pallu...that is such a Krisnamay song😳)...

And I love the way how he always bows his head down when he comes near her...it is not only because of the height difference, because Talli is also of the same height as Gulaal but he hardly does that...

It is more of a deference he shows towards Gulaal...

And I just love how childish he still is...staring at her blatantly when she is not looking and then when she calls him inside, he refuses to meet her eyes...and he just doesnot meet her eyes, even when he is asking if she wants something from the city, it is only when he hears the wobble and the smile in Gulaal's voice that he turned to look at her...and the way he is blinking his eyes as if overwhelmed by the attention..😍
😍😍
I swear that is so teenager like😳...awed by the woman standing in front of him...

And the way he just stares at her, watching her talking to a photo frame and not even feeling a tad bad about it...and I just love how these days every time Gulaal talks about somebody being happy, Kesar puts a question to her that is SHE happy??? that is so exclusive in this relation... for Gulaal everybody's happiness is her happiness...and for Kesar...Duniya jaaye bhaad mein...her happiness is his supreme wish...

Did someone feel that When Gulaal was talking about putting other responsibilities on his shoulders, Kesar was not listening ...he just was stuck on the fact that she was happy????

And oh!! the look he gave when he saw his bangles on her hand...that was a look of such pure bliss... I have always wondered at the smallest of gestures like this bringing such big happiness in someone's heart...but I guess that is Love😳...It was such a mysterious smile by the way😃

He is so happy when Gulaal calls him back while he was leaving!!!!
Thinking that finally she wants something for herself...but alas😆 poor guys is to be saddled with Talli🤢😆...
It was such a helpless and resigned look that he gave Gulaal when she asked him to take Talli with her...Poor fellow...saddled with a tape recorder without a stop button all the way...😛😆

Oww ...and the coin thing😳...Gulaal has such innocence in her at that point of time na...no wonder he just forgot the coin in his hand...he would have forgotten even if he had a lightened fire cracker in his hand...😆

There was something drastically intense in that stare...I would have been afraid if I had been Gulaal...there was no way one COULDNOT understand THAT look...It was NOT innocent too☺️...And he is so entranced by her, he doesnot even know what he talking...

It was symbolic to a certain extent...his coin saying Talli and he concentrating on Gulaal...something fatalistic like Talli already been predicted by all for him, and he, oblivious to everything, except Gulaal...*sigh* I just love the hoplessness in this all😍

The lines that she looked beautiful in her hair open were so automatic and Gulaal did become conscious...but am not going to discuss Red in this saffron thread😆😆😆

And the compliment might have been unintentional and totally an unguarded reaction on his part, but his response to that was not...he actually stood there to see the reaction on Gulaal's face and he knew that it had not gone well...and so he just walked away...no embarassed laugh, no sorry, no blah blah...this or that...you take it or leave it...I gave it to you...that is just so Kesar...Direct Dil se😳😆

The convo in the compound was so puppy-love kind of thing na.?? It reminded me of the Kesar who would insist Gulaal to come with him to the school...he had those expressions when he was asking her to come with him na??? He just doesnot want her out of sight,,,oowww!! so cute😳😳😳

And the expressions he gives to Talli as just too good...the poor guys is so tolerating her ...but I like how he does all for her in friendship... and he calls her Chudail🤣
🤣🤣🤣

That Gulaal Vasant and Durgesh convo is so imbibed in his mind as a young boy na...the ghost just dont leave him at any point of time...
and he is such a cute guy...asking the eunuch's that he is looking for someone like them
🤣🤣🤣...arre bhai (errr... mere bhai nahi, Talli ke bhai😛..) dont you know that it is a pick up line...you tell somebody that you are searching for someone like them is damn mushy line...kucch to atmosphere dekh ke bol liya kar...agar isme se ek bhi tere picche pad gayya to tera kya hoga re, Kesuda🤣🤣

The 13 May episode showed us a concerned Kesar...he humbled himself to a stage where he would not recongize even himself...but he did it...for his sister and for Gulaal...the seriousness with which Gulaal had told him had deeply penetrated inside his 'ziddi skull' and he is ready to go all and out for smoothening all he had bulldozed with his anger... it is this wholesomeness that I keep ranting about...he doesnot do anything in half measures...he does everything in his power to do what he has set out to do...(and ofcourse I hated the takla boss of Yogesh...frankly they both deserve each other..both khadus😡😆)

And another letter...how many exactly has he written...me need to raid this box ASAP...On the other hand ...I love to hear his voice reciting those letters...wonder how many times he would have read them over and over again ...when he had no one but himself to console 😭...

It is actually quite heart breaking to imagine little Kesar, sitting alone, in a hostel room, re-reading those letters and crying in anger, frustration and helplessness...It is good though that the memory doesnot make him sad, and he is smiling just having those child like thoughts on the letter in his hands...

And did I enjoy his mega discomfort when Gulaal just barged in😉...the way he just hid the letter like a student caught copying in the exams with a chit...😆

Well did someone think that he had not set out to ask Gulaal to clean up his room, and it was just the first thought he had, as he had been reading that letter, and he said it just to stop her from going because he wanted some exclusive time with her, before sharing her, with all other downstairs😳

And see again that whole heartedness of Kesar, he might have started on a weak limb, but then he grew strong...he developed his request ... and when Gulaal said Talli, this time he did not take it jokingly, he took it very seriously...Again the child Kesar surfacing, treating Gulaal has his ... how can Gulaal think that somebody else might touch anything personal to Kesar...It was just Gulaal who had the rights to do so...

And the look he gives her,...that secret happiness, that expression of elated success, clamped into a straight face with pure will...the look from under the brows...owww..he is such a bachaa😆

And when he tells her that 'mere kehne se kya hoga...tu bhi iss zindagi ka hissa hai' ...Well personally I thought he was trying to say that she should not be thinking about anyone saying anything and that she is a part of his life, come what may!! Duniya jaaye bhaad mein😆

And see again he doesnot step back..although he himself is overwhelmed on what he just says...but he doesnot step back..he just stares back...sticking to his stand...*sigh* and when she leaves he is as if left in a daze...as if her presence itself generates an atmosphere in which he is so different that when she goes, she takes that aura and he is left wondering, what just happened...awww ...that was such sheer chemistry on the screeen...

So that is it...I think I have blabbered enough...do tell me if you want me to stop ...and do post your thoughts...would love to discuss with you guys😃
