and I've been watching some old old episodes and she at one point questions herself does she love V? is she falling for him? and then talks herself out of it as she knows HE doesn't see her as his perfect partner...she doesn't fit his mold of life partner...

even if you look back at the episode during Samrats return to CN when Sai and Samrat are talking in Sairat room, he asks her openly you dont feel anything for V? and she says I can't because he feels for someone else (or something along those lines) I always found that answer ....odd...

Yeah Sai's love for Virat has unusual background. Talking from the PoV of a girl for whom her Dad is the idol and hero. Imagine if that same person vouches for this young man! There is already a strong admiration and attraction formed because somewhere in her mind, he was looked up to by her DAD, her role model. Sai places Virat at a pedestal. For her, he is this man who cant go wrong. If he had given some vaada, then it is written on stone. He will fulfill it. Why? because he is a hero. When you see someone as your hero or mentor, you cannot see them go wrong. Sai didnt want him to fail on his vaada. But as she has grown closer to him, she has seen his vulnerabilites. Afterall he is a man! For her to realize that Virat is just another man took so long. 😃

unintentionally came across this - sorry - I may be in minority here - respectfully do not agree with part -2, specially - virat setting sai free !!!!

No , he did NOT set her free - so she can pursue her general interests or other ambitions or other love interests !!!

He made her life so miserable, so painful, so stressed... she gave up on relationship even after accepting deal marriage... falling in love... and having kids with him... she ESCAPED !!!

We discussed several times how Virat and Pakhi's passion/love is similar. But what makes Virat's love beautiful is that, he will reign it if Sai is not willing to take it. He will not give it to anyone else nor makes Sai obligated to receive it.

There is this dialogue he says during Harini's birthday party at the pool when Pakhi ridicules that Sai doesnt love him.

"Even if Sai doesnt reciprocate my feelings, I will not make her feel lesser or obligated to return my love"

Even today, he is begging her to show the love because he is not willing to pressurize her in any way. He is trusting her words during confession and taking the steps forward. If he gets an inkling that Sai doesnt want him, he will stop making efforts. Thats what makes his love worthy for rooting.

Off topic but related to this. I read somewhere related to sociology, why the marital relationship is considered as weakness. Because it is associated with sex, which every religion chastised. Especially if a man stands by his wife, it is termed as weakness. Where as the woman is expected to stand by his man. Because woman's sexuality never existed. :D Woman stands by her husband to "look" after him in his lows. But if man stands by his wife, it is his weakness for sex. These norms are drilled into the minds of society. In any culture, a man standing by his wife over the family or community is looked down upon, considered a selfish act. As you said, if a man cannot give a stable family to his kids, then what is the use? He is essentially spoiling the next generation right? Thats why, it should be a partnership. Make your wife, an equal partner in your duties. You should never be in a position to choose her. It is always you and her together against the world!

Agree. Man putting his wife, kids well-being before the family is considered selfish at least by orthodox Indian society.

Virat definitely did love Sai. In his own way, the way he has been taught by his parents and other family members. As we know, he is a family-oriented person, who resonates many qualities his family members possess.

As Bhavani said, V was much his Nagesh Kaka, who believed in doing the right thing, so does V, but he does those things, which he thinks is right, which may not be right for others. Hence, he let down Sai during surrogacy.

V looks up to his father, so he embodies the qualities of farz and zimmedari more than his love for wife, which is similar to how Ninad was. Ninad never stood up for his wife's mistreatment, and rather msitreated her too, so V got affected y the same, in the rare instances he stood up was because of his sense of right and wrong. V got his sense of forgiveness and lenient nature from Ashwini, who could never question her husband/sister-in- law's atrocities. Hence, V could also not question his own family's wrong doing most of the time, especially regarding Pakhi. Even with her multiple crimes, V just couldn't let go of his leniency unfortunately, he kept on giving her chance after chance and the benefit of doubt. He lost his love ecause of this leniency.

V's love and shiddat maybe Sai, but I feel partly it is also his sense of justice, his desire to be the righteous one who makes the correct decisions. He manifests that he can become a person who doesn't do any unfair action towards everyone, because he is a gentle person who doesn't like confrontation. But sometimes his fairness gets tinged with the glasses of wrong teachings of his family, hence he ends up doing the wrong thing, and doesn't even understand why he is wrong. Hence, we don't get to see him regret as much as we would like to do, because he feels whatever he did, there was no other option to make it fair.

Just my observation of how V is as a person. He manifests the correct things, even gets it, but both his manifestations start to contradict each other. So, he ends up choosing the one that would make his family happy and keep his image intact, a trait he adopted from Bhavani. He will do anything for his family's happiness, even if it meant killing his own. As long as the family honour, image and reputation is intact, he is good.

Let's be honest, when was the last time we even saw him be really, genuinely happy, without either Sai fighting with him or P screeching at him. That guy destroyed his own happiness by not choosing the correct manifestations of his mind.

Just my thoughts.😳

Thanks so much ❤️

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts and it aligns with something I wrote long back about V's character.

Virat is a product of Chavan upbringing. As the son he was taught to be strong and righteous and ensure that the family reputation is kept intact. And the same time he was a softie, with the only support of Ashwini in CN. He was highly influenced by the dynamics of CN. But there was a side to him which had a different thinking process. However, within the CN walls the other side of him became prominent. And his way dealing was avoiding confrontations. He just learnt to bow out rather than argue. This is why he was attracted to P. Because he knew she would fit into his family. He knew the kind of woman that would sync well with his family and will compliment his non-confrontational nature. There was nothing exciting about this relationship, but what appealed to him was the peaceful life he could have with her. Their thought processes matched and she would jell well with the family. Easy life.

When Sai came into his life, the wild side of him met its match. Life with her was not easy. Rather a roller coaster ride, Exciting and adventurous. He liked the thrill. But it also meant that he will not know peace. With the firebrand he had married, there were bound to be arguments and disconnects with him and his family.

Another thing about his character. V's righteous side is too good to be true. They can ether show one to be unrealistic completely with that level of sacrifice or make him realistic with flaws. But with the extreme level of his righteous and sacrificing nature, him doing wrong does not seem right. Surrogacy is the most selfish act on his part. His decision was purely for himself. He wanted a child of his own and P cashed in on that. She created a situation where he felt that he this was his last chance at having his own child. He took away Sai's right of choosing the womb for her child. As a mother she had equal rights. But he took the decision on her behalf, not for her. But for himself.

True. We often wonder how things wonk out so easily for someone while we are struggling with things and our wishes are never answered. The secret lies in how we ask for it and how we treat it and our belief in it

Or someone else ruins it for her that she doesn’t accept the boon completely. Something like that. Basically self doubt and lack of trust. Only in the case of virat I mean.

Got it. Otherwise she is the one who should get everything easily 🙃

Very convincing. Great job.🙌

Thanks Sadhika ❤️

Sometimes it is not about ourselves. Like if you look at Sai, she doesn't believe that she needs to change. She never wanted to be like P. It is about how you perceive the need of the other person. For Sai she didn't fit the picture for V. Not because she was not good, but she was different from what he wanted. This also generates that sense of inadequateness. Not because one lacks something. But they don't match upto someone's preference. So it not about expectation but preference.

Also, sometimes the loop of losses is so consistent that the person feels that they are born unlucky. Again, not because they fall short anywhere, but the luck will never be by their side. Unlike V, Sai values what she has. But she always lives in the fear that her blessings are shortlived.

I agree partially. V and P's love is same to some extent. It is toxic. But it affects V when he hurts Sai, but P doesn't care.

V is emotionally a very sensitive guy with someone who has this extreme sense of doing right by everyone.

As the one who believes in doing right by other while sacrificing himself, he was willing to let Sai go. But as the emotionally sensitive one, he cannot live with that. So he vents out that anger on her. He becomes indifferent and rude towards her. It is like his defence mechanism to protect himself and his heart.

Again, while he treats her in a rude manner, he will stand up for her and protect her. He will not be able to stand any threat on her.

Look at SH track. Before and after Sai's kidnapping he was angry at her. Yet when she was in danger, he was there to save her. And it was not just in capacity of a police officer.

On the other hand, P never cared about V's happiness. She is obviously thrilled if he is happy and content with her. But if his happiness lies anywhere else apart from her she is ready to chain him and lock him and let him lead a life of complete emptiness just to ensure he stays with her.

I agree. It is imperative that V realises his mistakes before they unite. But I feel there is more to the story than what we know and what they have shown so far. Though they haven't show his regret and remorse extensively and it was mostly the guilt of letting her letting her go and eventually losing her. there are small hints which may have a larger backstory to it.

One such scene is after K walks out and P comes to speak to V. He clearly says that he regrets his decision of bailing her out and letting Sai leave. He also says that it was not the first time he had wronged her and neither would it be the last time. Which means he has had some reflection and truly regrets his actions.

We will have to wait and watch if they do have more things hidden behind V's mask
