At least in Indian context, the treatment of a MOTHER in movies and TV is equal to or even above God.
Maa is portrayed as the one who would go to any lengths for her children, who has the patience that surpasses dharthi Maa and what not.
Sai is also shown with similar traits.
She would go to any limits to get her Vinu back and protect him from all harm. This goes well with the audience too.
Many times, father’s portrayal is also shown as the one who scacrifices every comfort for his kids.
Even when the character is portrayed as cruel or as a criminal, his love for his children trumps everything. Mostly they try to keep the “father” part of the character untainted and intact.

From the beginning, he was shown to be the one who so badly wanted a child with Sai, that too a daughter.
God was kind to him.
Despite all the kaands he did, crimes committed and the pain he put his Sai through, he still got 2 adorable children-a girl and a boy. ❤️❤️
Any human in his place should be overjoyed about Bappa’s blessings and will do everything possible to keep both his beautiful kids as close to him as possible.
He would fight with his family, with his current “whatever” wife, his original wife, mother of the children, the system, the entire world - just to protect his children and keep them TOGETHER WITH HIM.
But Vankar decided to write this character so bad that he has to do everything ulta just to make the story toxic and load with negativity.
How in the world is he ok with keeping the siblings separated in 2 different houses?
How is it ok for him to keep his miracle daughter, who is his dream child, away from him?
How is it possible for him to see Paki mouthing blatant lies that Vinu is suffering because of Sai?
Why the blind eye to Paki manipulating Vinu with her horror stories?
Where is the father in Virat?
Did that loving father die?
Now is it only about - How not to rock Paki’s boat?
Where is his children in all this so-called farz for Paki?
Where is his farz for his own kids?
How can he keep Paki above his kids, their love for each other and most of all their SAFETY ?
Is Virat blind, a moron or is he plain stupid?
What does he really want to be -
Paki’s farzwala illegal husband?
His children’s doting father?
Or a loving husband to his original wife, Sai?
