Its interesting how people are constantly making excuses for V. Whay could have been is very different from what is. I am also looking for instances where V is someone i can relate to and understand. He is an important character in this story. Majority of the time I do not understand his pov.

But i legit thought we had him back in true form when the name change epi happened. I was genuinely happy with his behavior, his dialogues and NBs performance in that epi..I thought that was the start of him giving it back to everyone. Because shaadi hogayi, Sai and him were together..but sadly he has once again disappointed me because the makers have not given a clear reason for his current behavior. Its not enough that he supports Sai, how he does so is equally important. Unfortunately based on what we get shown time n again he is a very problematic and inconsistent character. Once in a while, he will give a glimpse of the guy who is someone you can feel for, someone who is worthy...but more often he just disappoints. I hoe that when truth comes out about Sai doing internship, he is given some good dialogues. I like it when he actually stands up and speaks his mind.

You yourself have mentioned what V is...

Inconsistent in terms of his behaviour, his motives and his logics. 👍🏼

But more importantly character... It's a fictional person... And they have kept him very real..

Leads in fiction are always the epitome of everything best... Which is why the other leads fall for them 🤣.

Ghum has tried to put realism. V is quite like Sai in this respect.

Both have been conceptualized as a unique lead characters. Someone with flaws.

But at the end once again they are characters.

And part of same deal. Sai cannot exist without V and V cannot exist without Sai. That's the end deal for this show whether we want it or not.

So to understand Sai it is important that we understand V. And thats all everyone is trying to do... Atleast I am.

As I mentioned in my comment.

His actions affect her and her actions affect him.

Had Sai not come into his life, V would not have grown at all. He did only because she proved to the strong force that compelled him.

There have been instances where this has happened, like the one you mentioned of name change.

But here lies the inconsistency... V is poorly executed character unlike Sai. The makers are continuously confused about him and how to treat him and that's the disconnect. And that's partly i don't blame NB when he falters. How much can he bear when the character itself flops.

These discussions are the reason though why we or I try to understand the character. Sai is easier to do... Because she has been written that way... Honest straight forward and very clear headed about what she wants.

We are trying to understand a character and giving him arcs and motivations all in our own heads. Show mein toh nahi hai. Ultimately though whats happening on the show is the actual story na. Rest is all just what we wish/hope. So when I look back at ghkkpm thus far there are very few situations where I have beem firmly on V's side or understood his pov. And thats a failure. To me he matters because he is important to Sai. But this is Sai's story.

at the end of the day, just because Sairat are endgame I cant make excuses or justify things that just dont make sense. People dont have to be right all the time but they need to have a consistent, organically evolving pov. The responsibility of that lies on makers , writers n actor.

That is true.. i am not saying i am convinced with him all the time either.

I have been disappointed too and i have voiced it too time and again..

Neither am I justifying his abusive behaviour.

All I am trying to do 'for myself' is to make sense of it because he as lead matters to the show and he as one half of SaiRat matters to Sai. 👍🏼

The problem is changing the way character was written in the original. They can’t dare to show rono on national television. He is very real. They made virat softer who doesn’t suit the depth of emotions shown in the writing. Actually KD experts here also say emon is not the one written in original. So the characters are changed a bit and sometimes the plot and dialogues are retained from the original. This itself is enough for the disconnect. Either be true to the story and characters or change the story when you change the characters. But they falter in balancing the Both. That’s my conclusion 😅

how he was behaving with Kaku till one day before his wedding is totally different from how he’s behaving now ..

If he can command respect from his family then why unnecessarily pander to them ..

That’s why it becomes very difficult for NB to justify it .. I feel bad .. he himself cannot agree to why virat is doing this .. it was obvious in shruti track ..

Rono was a lot better .. and true to character .. by making virat pandering to all and sundry , bk , ayi , samrat .. they have made him weak

In the OG he was a loner ( sunny was his only confidante )
