Entire Chavan Niwas is unusually calm. With the current circumstances and this sudden meeting called upon by the most unexpected person in the house.
Patralekha walked down the stairs looking at everyone. She can sense surprise and shock evident on all the faces in the house. Well, nobody expected this, even she did not. But it is hightime she handle this. Virat looked at her with weird emotions. But it is not Virat who intrigued her, it is SAI!
She hated her. Infact, loathed her and never shied away from expressing it through her taunts. She, Pratralekha, a 26 yr old independent woman as per her, held grudge against a 19 yr old teenager! If there is anything that killed her, it is the realization that she had been absolutely wrong in her life since 2 yrs hurted her pride.
Virat Chavan- the sole reason for her destruction. What has she become? A typical serial vamp and that too for whom? A man who could not stand up for the women he claimed to love. Be it her or Sai. He always chose the way He should not have.
" what is this Patralekha and why did you call everyone here? " Samrat's question snapped her out of her thoughts.
With a smile of determination on her face, which startled everyone and made Virat uncomfortable for some unknown reason, she simply said " to clear things"
" Thank you everyone for gathering here on my request. I don't want to beat around the bush but be direct this time. I know things are not going great in our Chavan niwas off late but when were they even great in the first place?? "
Sai felt weird. Pakhi did. She called her with respect and requested her to come here for one last time. She wanted to deny but something in her tone, made Sai to be part of this meeting today. There is something in the way Pakhi some to her.
Snapping sai out of her puzzled emotions, Patralekha continues. " I want to clear everything today. Two years back, when I married Samrat, I was in love with Virat."
If silence has a face,it would be looking like entire Chavan clan. Everyone knew this earlier, but somehow they all put that fact aside and continued theif lives as jf nothing happened. But Pakhi saying it now, loud and clear shocked everyone out of their wits.
Virat was the first one to recover from the shock. Anger is clearly visible on his face. A sudden rage coursed through this veins. What is she doing?? " Pakhi, what are you talking??" He shouted in a high pichhi that shuddered everyone except two, sai and pakhi.
" Truth" came the reply unflinchigly. " I was in love with Virat and he promised me that he would not let anyother woman in his life apart from me and asked to marry Samrat" Pakhi completed her sentence leaving Virat shell shocked.
" Finally the truth is out" thought Sai. She felt lite for some reason. She was repeatedly called a liar for pointing out this. The look on everyone's face made jt clear that they are forced to listen this, since it is Pakhi who is confessing,they could not do much.
Bhavani tried stopping the elder daughter jn law from talking these things and continue their denial but Pakhi is not in a mood to stop today. One look from her and everyone stood rooted to their spots.
" I married Samrat only because of Virat's promise. Am not absolving myself of all the mistakes I made. I still am responsible for the marriage. Am sorry Samrat, you don't deserve the betrayal you faced. " Pakhi's genuine words echoed in the silence of Chavan niwas.
Samrat looked at Pakhi in complete disbelief. Yes,he was hurt..but the constant denial by Pakhi and Virat made it much difficult for him. He would have moved on if they had accepted their love and discussed about future considering the change in dynamics. Sadly, it never happened. But today, Patralekha did it. She apologized and no, it did not heal him but it certainly made him feel better and lite. A look of acknowledgement passed between three people, Sai, Samrat and Pakhi
" I envied Sai, 19 yr old kid because she married Virat. I never left any chance to taunt her. Countless times I hurted her." Pakhi's voice choked with tears.
Sai and Samrat moved forward. But what happened next was something they did not anticipate. PatraLekha engulfed them both in an embrace and cried her heart out.
After few minute, Pakhi controlled herself. She cannot fall weak..not now, she needs to show the mirror to Virat. With this determination, she moved away from the both and walked towards Virat.
" Ever loved me Virat?" She asked him. She asked this question earlier too but there was love in her voice then but it sounded sarcastic thought Virat.
Virat felt awkward to answer, entire family and even Sruthi is here and Pakhi is putting a spectacle.
" Pakhi" his words were dead in his throat when Pakhi roared " Vahini!"
" Patralekha Vahini".
Virat gasped and could not speak due to the blow.
" Enough Virat, it is hightime someone showed you the mirror. Virat Chavan jyaachi pakki jaan, my food! Let me make it clear Virat, you are the worst when it comes to promises. You promised me and married Sai. You could have become her brother like Kamal kaka was to Usha mausi or pulkit jiju to madhuri but no, you married her. You broke your promise. You promised Sai that it would be deal marriage but you failed. You expected her to adjust and make a mark as daughter in law when you play dosth dosth with me and deal deal with her??
What did u say? You could not go against family and asked me to marry Samrat! Wow, you ruined his life by making him marry someone who is in love with you! You failed as a brother. You failed as a lover by refusing to take a stand for me when needed and pushed me into marriage. You failed as a student when you insulted Kamal kaka's upbringing. You failed as a husband when you let Sai go through hell. With this new zimmedari you failed as a Police too.
You love Sai but you will not take stand for her. You three her out of your house. You made her starve. You accused her when you saw her with her friend. You never trusted. You allowed a third party that js me, to taunt her just because she refused to celebrate anniversary.
You always called her immature right? But let me make it very clear. Sai is far more better than you. Unlike you, she never puts up a facade. You never kept your promises. The truth is Virat, you are wrong. You are morally wrong but you are so image conscious and always try to spin jalebis and make the other person look vile and get away"
" Daddo sutto" Karishma could not stop herself from exclaiming
Patralekha threw a murdering gaane towards her and shifted her focus to Virat.
" I loathe myself for loving a man like you. No, it is not love. It is my stupidity. Otherwise which woman will love a man who always does what is convenient for him and wants mahaan tag and self victimizes himself? How could I be so stupid?? I committed sins and will ensure to repent them. But you Virat, you said Family is important to me and left me. Said the same to Sai and made her go through hell but for Sruthi, the great Chavan is willing to oppose all? Your morals are cliched and yet you claim to be so good. You know what Virat, everyone misunderstands you according to you. You know why? Because your words and actions are always in contrast.
You expect your wife to understand and give you time when you play husband- father somewhere else? If Sai had done that, would you have waited a second before hurting her?"
Virat is shaken to the core. He never expected this kind of confrontation. Not atleast from Pakhi. Satisfied with the embarrased look on his face Patralekha continue
" You can never escape consequences Virat. You can never remain good infront of all when you keep hurting and ignoring your loved ones. BE A MAN, OWN UP YOUR ACTIONS" concluded Pakhi and left the hall silently after informing Sai and Samrat to come to her room.
Everyone gave a look towards Virat and left to their rooms as there is nothing they can do now.
