It's already a huge pressure to put up one week episodes ahead.. Hence it's effecting the quality badly.. They have to do a lot of compromises..

I try to watch it as a audience only.. Not bothered about direction or acting much unless it irks my eyes.. Ayesha is more convincing though she looks exhausted in some scenes.. Neil has gone bellow average.. It's hard to bring complex emotions if you are not directed well..

Most importantly the timing of shruti track is completely wrong.. SaiRat are in a very vulnerable stage of their relationship..The way story is building up It can push away Sai forgood and audience will stop shipping them...Virat is however turning our to be a joker.. Who shelters a criminal for the sake of friendship ..

Yes that's how I always see him - neither a bad actor, nor a great actor. He is good....but as you said, he has a comfort zone. I still like him...so it is a bit disappointing to see his recent slump.

I hope such critique of actors (any actor) is allowed - it is not bashing nor is it disrespect to the actor. It is a healthy discussion.

The problem is I liked him because he brought in subtle aspects at times, that I have not seen even better actors doing, so I developed hopes, but eventually he seems to have been going down and down and its sad to see that he is now below average.

You all said everything about Ghum current track which nobody is liking. On top of this I got stuck with another show unknowingly of the same production house 😫 I got suspicious when I saw Sunny in it and his wife’s character is exactly like Karishma then I googled and I’m in shock since then.😭 save me from this addiction.

Takes me back to my previous comment a while ago about actors being allowed to have atleast some input into story and building a back story for themselves even if makers dont in certain situations. But if makers create a situation that seems utterly out of touch with a characters personality, then actors either need to be able to discuss with makers and change things a bit or find some way of performing it in a manner that still connects with the audience.

I feel like as pissed as I was at Sai during devi elopement track because of the sheer rubbish, I felt some sympathy for her. Cant say the same for Virat now.

While I believe actors are allowed to give inputs, it is upto the creatives to consider it or not - I remeber that is what Neil said in an interview. I don't think actors can change the way a track is written either....otherwise Virat's characterization would not have been so bad.

@bold I think this is what happened to Neil in the post-anniversary track - the locking up and other crazy behavior. I don't think Neil connected with that at all. And seems like he didn't receive any help from the director or the creatives either. Compare the PD lunch kaand - it might have been difficult to relate to that unpalatable part of Virat - but Neil pulled it off beautifully. That scene came out well because of the old director Jafar...he must have helped Neil with what exactly he wanted Neil to convey. I don't think it is fair on an actor to be left without any guidance when you are writing such shit for him.

Criticizing acting cannot and should not be against any rules. If it is then there's really no point of a discussion. As the audience watching the show, its perfectly reasonable fir us to bring up our dislike /criticism for scenes, direction, editing, dialogues, performances. The show exists for us audience. If we arent happy with the show, we can and will air our opinion. Thats my generic comment

But personally for me, both Neil and Ayesha are good actors but Ayesha for me is so on point that shes tje only reason I watch. For me She makes even decent of even those scenes where the dialogues arent great or makers try to make her annoying/irritating.... I find her very dependable and her character to be the saving grace. If not for her I'd have long stopped watching.

Neil - i feel like he's 90% of the time good with expressions but they have botched up his character so bad that even his acting cannot salvage it anymore. And he hasn't managed to pull out anything out of sheer likeability/charm as an actor to make me as audience sympathize with him.

SO true and he even said he was not convinced and he had a talk with the director and writer and how the upcoming scenes are supposed to be...I think when shows are top rated, even actors could be shut saying, oh this is getting TRPs, getting us the money so let it be...

Absolutely. Addiction or habituation is real. When you watch something everyday fot months it's difficult to stop no matter how crappy story is. You get petsonally invested without even realizing.
