Loved your analysis so much. ❤️I felt pretty much the same way as you did and you have covered every little detail.
A truly good episode after a long time.
Agree 100% regarding Virat-Samrat conversation. I loved it too. And I love Samrat's intelligence, his ability to read people, his assertiveness and most importantly his straight talking. Samrat probably entered CN when he was 12 or 13. That has saved him from being a mess or lacking in intelligence..unlike the other sane Chavans. It has always been my grouse that nobody questions Virat on his friendship with Pakhi or put forth Sai's feelings regarding said friendship. So I'm rejoicing.
I was curious about one thing - how Virat refered to Pakhi as Patralekha when he was talking to Samrat. Where did this sudden lightbulb come from? So somwhere he knows that it is inappropriate? What prevented him from addressing her as such all these months - taking Sai's tolerance for granted? I agree he did not have any ill-intention, but he was very careless. He does slip into Pakhi again - aadat se majboor.
I will believe your prediction for my own sanity - that Virat will be triggered to introspect after this.
Also very telling was Virat's psychology during the conversation. Virat cannot bear rejection - a trait we see in his relationship with Sai too - and Samrat's coldness and anger is killing him. He was like a child begging to be forgiven. He did want to clear every MU between them and become buddies once again. This entire situation is too overwhelming for a man like Virat - he is simply feeling too helpless and therefore decided to shut himself off ..because he cannot bear it. Samrat explaining Sai's POV and advising him that running away from problems will not solve anything - he needs such gentle counsel. Unfortunately, the only person who can help him in his problems with Samrat is Sai and the only person who can help him with his situation with Sai is Samrat...and both of them are in a different emotional space. I do feel bad for him.
Thankfully, they are showing Sai to have an inkling that Virat's indifference may be related to the anniversary. But I felt so sad for her today. She is trying hard to remain stoic. Even before Virat entered the room, Sai was trying to be her usual chirpy self...as if forcibly trying to accept Virat's imminent departure from her life. Virat's indifference was breaking her inside...but she was controlling all her emotions...because her worry had overtaken her pain. To me, her self-deprecating dialogue seemed to be an earnest attempt at an apology...they are not speaking about it openly....this was her way if trying to accept her mistake. 😭. I didn't understand the purpose of her kiss though....what was she trying to convey?
Virat's mindset is becoming clearer - that his coldness is not ego but a defence mechanism to protect his heart. Two of his dialogues are evidence - him saying that he doesn't want to think what Sai feels for him and he wants to be left in peace - even at the cost of suppressing his feelings. And I also noticed that he registered Sai comparing him to her aaba. After the kiss...that yearning in his eyes.
