What sort of story do you want to read?

There are so many different stories on MG and sometimes it is hard to read them all and know which one to read. I've started this thread and hope it brings in some discussion surrounding MG stories.

You'll write down the type of story you want to read and maybe someone had read such a story on MG and can recommend that? Or it might give writers an idea for a one shot or new story.

You can use the following as guideline:

Trope: Marriage of convenience, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, childhood friends to lovers, forced proximity, best friend's brother, fake dating, single parent, office romance, love triangle, celebrity romance, forbidden love, meet cutes, second chance love, opposites attract, mistaken identity, amnesia, stuck together etc...

Maan: Billionaire, the average kind of guy, grumpy and cold, mafia etc...

Geet: Billionaire, girl next door, sunshine and bubbly, cold and calculated, mafia etc...

Writing: Minimum spelling and grammatical errors, okay with spelling and grammatical errors, less hindi dialogues etc...

I hope members will contribute and make this forum a little more interactive. Please share with your friends if you can.

I'll start:

Trope: Fake marriage or Mafia arranged marriage 😉

Maan: Millionaire or average kinda guy.

Geet: Billionaire

Writing: Okay with spelling and grammatical errors but less hindi dialogues as I do not read or understand it well.

I absolutely hated the amnesia track on show, so if someone writes their take on this track it would be amazing.

Yes! I did not like how they handled that track. Why did they even do that stupid track?

And Maan's memory not coming back was also ridiculous, why?

He had forgotten everything, from saving Geet, falling in love, marrying her, losing their baby, the grief they'd both gone through, finally coming together once again. The struggles of losing his company and family. It was just so illogical and stupid of the creatives to ruin what had been a pretty great story. I think after the wedding and losing the baby, they had ruined the story pretty much and I hadn't watched it much since then.

So yes, I would love a story to read on the amnesia track.

I do enjoy a single parent and second chance love story. Especially if there’s kids involved.

Another trope I would like to read:

Trope: Childhood friends to lovers (in adulthood)

I’d like them friends throughout their childhood, maybe go to different colleges/universities and cross each other’s path in a working environment.

Maan: Average boy next door characteristic.

Geet: Girl next door characteristic

Writing: Limited Hindi dialogue as cannot understand. Okay with spelling and grammatical mistakes.

Very helpful to have something like this to get wat we want on Maaneet. I’m always looking for stories where Maan leaves Geet or hurts her until she leaves, and then realizes her value once she’s gone & goes looking for her.

You’re ‘Oh Sahiba’ & Others including Game or Love, Truly Magical and Mehbooba have been some of my favourites in this genre. Any other story suggestions always welcome 🤗

Oh that sounds like an interesting trope. I would hope that such a Maan grovels hard. It is annoying when the character of Maan does not grovel hard enough and prove his love properly. I'd prefer it if Maan is too toxic, I would want Geet to leave and never look back. And he lives miserably seeing her falling in love with someone else and living a life that he could have had 😂

haha that’s true but this is for real life! I some rules are not applied to Maan in my Maaneet world 🥰
Ofcourse I want him to regret and go through some pain and not get Geet easily but at the end they shouldn’t end up with different ppl.. Maan & Geet are …. just meant to be together you know ☺️

Interesting! I like so many but here goes

Trope: arranged marriage of any kind, normal or mafia or revenge story/kidnapper

Maan: Millionare and arrogant

Geet: simple girl but strong and has her self respect. I don’t like it when she accepts him in the name of marriage and accepts his atrocities.

Writing: yes little Hindi as my Hindi is weak but errors are fine.
