Geet's feelings are so well-sketched. Young love, the confusion, the fascination surrounding it, the uncertainties it has. All of it has been so beautifully written. Maybe I could learn a lesson or two on how to write love stories. 😃

PS: I didn't forget about Teji and the new woman. I'll rather stay quiet and see what the story unfolds...

TEASER

The heart never wins against the mind; it is true.

Geet closed her eyes and tried to control herself but she could not control the longing of being in his arms again; of wishing that he looked at her as if she was the most beautiful girl on earth.

"Bas Geet bas, she told herself, surprised when a finger touched her chin and lifted it.

Curious chocolate brown eyes stared at hers and all that she could not speak, her traitor eyes told him.

A smile lit up Maan's face.

"Mujhe miss kar rahi ho biwi?" he asked softly with a smirk, gratified by the pink tingeing her cheeks immediately.

She was not a warrior princess for nothing.

"Nahi, wo main, haan, mujhe pani chahiye tha", she said turning her back to him.

Why did he have to stand so close?

She could sense him behind her, the scent of his cologne enveloping her.

He must have just showered because the tips of his hair at the nape were still wet.

Were his shoulders always so wide, she thought? Perhaps it was the light blue shirt but in it he looked even more handsome.

Why am I noticing everything about him, she thought in panic.

His eyes went to the cascade of curls tumbling over her back.

Taking the glass of water from her night stand, he offered it to her.

His gaze dropped to her mouth and she felt herself stumble. One hand went to her elbow to steady her.

"Relax", he instructed most unhelpfully.

How could she, when he towered so close to her.

She took the glass from his hand, suddenly thirsty and gulped the water.

"Tum kaho toh aaj kaam pe nahi jauga. Tumhare saath rehta hu till you get better", he offered with a sweet smile.

Her breath hitched and her pulse leapt. Aisse toh I will never get better, she thought.
