Hi Aish, going to post all my comments here on this thread only. Hope you don't mind 😊 Vaise itni choti baat ke liye toh koi mind nahi hi karega. 😆

Before I start, to a certain Ms.Hinal--- the banner is gorgeous. You've done a really wonderful job in capturing the vulnerability and innocence of Geet along with the tough persona of the angry young man who's also a hotshot businessman.

Now, about the story.

Mujhse Dosti Karoge is a movie that I haven't watched. I had started but couldn't sit through it. The only thing I know is that, Rani and Hrithik ie Pooja and Raj had ended up together. And it was comforting to know that because all of the movies I had watched till then, Rani was always the one to sacrifice her love. In KKHH, she dies. In K3G, Sharukh marries Kajol. So it felt good to know that she got her love this time at least. Now, when I read your story, I realised I had overlooked a character altogether. Kareena as in whatever her name in the movie. We always do that don't we? As long as the leads get together who cares for the supporting roles. I always fall for the person who happens to be the third wheel in the relationship, whose love remains unrequited. I don't why but it always happens to me. This girl was heartbroken. It must have been the darkest phase of her lifeto have lost both her parents and the love of her life. And it is wonderful to read her story here. Thank you for writing this.

Chapter 1 : Someone Like You

She's heartbroken and wants to be alone. But can't seem to find the solitude she's looking for. The part where Pooja And Raj are calling and asking her about her well-being, I know they mean well but there are times you want to isolate yourself from the world. You just need to be away from everything.

Her pain is so palpable. Her trying to find solace in the her home, her childhood memories, her parents lingering presence, her old city. How brilliantly you've penned down her emotions.

Heart if you notice, does such tough jobs of pumping blood, keeping you alive but it's also a fragile thing. Breaking so easily and then you keep trying to put the pieces together. I'm glad she's found an aim. Completing her Masters. But it is going to be a tough path.

We tend to think changing places, changing goals, changing hairstyle will help us but it's not so easy. You've to erase names from your heart...how do you do that?

About Maan Singh Khurana, well I'll quote a line from the chapter, " He was glad she wasn't prominent but then she was just present in a lot of pictures, doing something or the other.

It kind of symbolises the kind of effect in his life in the beginning days. She wouldn't be present altogether yet her presence would be there as his sister's friend. And I wonder if it would be so easy to delete her.

Before I start,( yeah once again), while I was reading the Kanha and Geet talks and also about the pain that Geet is living with, I was reminded of this poetry.

na tha kuch toh khuda tha, kuch na hota toh khuda hota

hua jab gham se yuun behis to gham kya sar ke katne ka

Chapter 2. A Friend Found In Wilderness

The first line was enough to suck me in. She loved her home because it provided her the much needed solitude and also because she didn't have to pretend. To live without pretensions, how much we crave that.

The talking with Krishna scene, that was emotional. How strange it is! Jab koi nahi hota hai toh ek who hi toh hote hai.

The bonding between the siblings is beautiful. Eklauti behen meanaing lots of pampering from the Bhaiyas. In my case its opposite. My brother enjoys all the love and pamperings. But the eldest one has to balance the love with gussa so I can totally relate with Maan.

Woah so Ana is a confident lady and you'd think she's a spoilt brat if you don't get the opportunity to know her from close. Like her attitude and her spirit. So while Geet is looking for a calm and simple life, a storm named Antara has already found her.

Their fight, wow, that was something. First din par hi ladai lol. Accha why do all great friendships starts with fights. I don't know why? I have a few friends and I really don't get into fights with them. Koi argument hot abhi toh I'm like thik hai okay fine. But there's a best friend. That's the only friend I fight with and argue over silliest of things and she's the one I love the most.😃

So I read Dean Moore as Demi Moore.😆

Yeh detention wala applied formula hai. Sath mein chod do dost toh ban na hi hai. If they had been boys. Hath pair tod ke dusre ka phir kehte bhai tu hi mera jigri dost hai.😆

Uh ho so the man with velvety voice is here. ❤️

Chapter 3.Ek ladki bheegi baagi si

Aish yaar, whenever I hear or the lyrics, the only song I can remember is the Fena ad, ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si kapde dhone mein hiu aadhi si jab se fena mila resha resha khila fena ki kaho kya baat hai 😆

Oh so its Kabir and not the angry young man whom I was waiting for. But then it would have been to cliched. Mulakaat toh honi hai, thodi der sahi .😛

That Kabir's line had me in splits. "Listen Miss, you're no kid. Behave sensisbly. Don't pick on my little sister.

So once the cloud of mu cleared, Mr.Kabir realized what he had missed before. A pretty lady. What a judgemental ass he had been ! He immediately decided to mend things. And like a gentleman he pressed a kiss on the back of her palm. Because on her cheeks, he could not. Pehli mulakaat mein kuch zyada ho jata nahi? Then in that velvety voice that never lost its charm, he asked, " What is your good name O beautiful one?

While the beautiful lady just smiled at him, his sister spoke, "What's in a name brother? That which we call rose by any other would smell as sweet. And that whom we call Kabir by any other name would flirt as easily Forgive me Aish. I just couldn't resist. 😳

He's nice, this Kabir guy. Going to look forward to Geet-Kabir scenes.

Hayye, yeh mausam ki baarish and hero- heroine and Kishore ji ka gaana... what a combo author sahiba mazaa aa gaya. I could see the scene unfoldding in front of my eyes. Kudos to you for that 👏

So pehle chapter mein hi deletes the photo, second mein unknown to him he wishes that she reached her home safely.

Nice update dear man came directly to Geet house from airport seeing him see Hugh him and apologise to him that he missed the marriage because of her but he denied saying its was his decision and not to feel guilty he asked to go out for dinner but t she know he is tired of journey so she prepared the dinner to him he liked very much and told her and slept there in sofa and left early morning leaving a note to her Mann talk to Annie about Arjun and how he is harassed her

Ch 4. Among her stillness was a pounding heart

Aish yaa, you write so beautifully. I find myself short of words, when I sit to write a comment for you. And you'd know what a loquacious person I am. I can never do justice with the sheer poetry that your writing is. I think that's why I took so much time to post comments here. I didn't want to comment just for the sake of it. I wanted to post my love here.

Now, coming to the chapter,

Something good always comes out of the bad. Kya sach mein? I hope the saying holds true in real world too. Kuch zyada hi bura hote rehta hai mere sath, I think.

But I like Geet. She has problems ,yes! But she's not giving up. She's trying to start again. She's a fighter. I can totally relate with her. Although no love problems I've faced till now, but there are problems enough and I've sometimes cried to sleep. It's not necessary people will understand. They like to give advice. Par advice se hua kahaan aaj tak kuch. Lend me your ears for a few moments. Hear my problems, let me cry my heart out and forget you ever met me. Aisa kar sako toh karo. Forgive me, the emotional person that I am, I always tend to get carried away.

Old friends have been left behind, new place, new people, where loneliness and your heartache is the only constant thing... Kanha ji ne accha kiya Ana se milwa ke.

Whatsapp messages from Raj, well I'm not sure I like that. But then she cant just cut off them like that. One thing at a time.

Won't say much about Maan- Geet meeting. Aage batayenge, baad mein.

About Geet running to Raj, happens. If I had been reading this a few years ago, I'd have said things about how she shouldn't have. But now, nopes.

Ki ishq par zor nahin hai ye vo atish ghalib
