Hello Folks!

Welcome to Deewangi, the sequel to Deewanapan!

While Deewanapan was romantic, passion and action filled, Deewangi is more of a racy thriller with almost every update ending in a cliffhanger!

This story is pretty small (9 to 12 chapters) and starts 5 years after Deewanapan's end!

Read it, enjoy it and let me know what you think about it!

Thank you for reading,

Kalpana

CHAPTER 1.

In a mansion in Dilli, a mobile lying on table in the living room rang. It was the Gill Mansion.

Someone lifted the phone, a young voice chirped, "Hello!"

"Hello! Can I speak to Mr. Khurana?", a voice spoke from the other side.

The young voice, standing in the middle of the mansion, spoke, "This is Mr. Khurana speaking!"

"Excuse me?", the voice on the other side spoke sounding a bit confused, "You are Mr. Maan Singh Khurana?"

The voice in the Mansion giggled, "Nope! I am Samar Singh Khurana! MSK's son!"

"Oh!", the voice on the other side spoke, "Then I am your Bua Khushi Raizada speaking! And you are supposed to be getting ready for the school!"

Samar slapped his hand on his mouth while his eyes widened. He removed the hand from his mouth and blurted out, "Hey Babaji!"

He cut the phone just as his parents came out of the first floor rooms running.

"Samar mila?", Maan gritted his teeth as he looked at his wife.

Geet shook her head and worriedly asked, "Aapko?"

"Mila hota toh tumse poochta kya?", Maan snapped at her.

"Aap mujhpe kyun bigad rahe hain! Maine kya kiya?", Geet cried out.

Samar's eyes widened and he looked around the hall for a hiding place. His parents were standing at the first floor landing and could easily spot him!

"Tumne kya kiya? Tum mujhe yeh pooch rahi ho? Samar tumpe gaya hai! Ek number ka shaitaan! Tumne use bigaada hai! Aur tum pooch rahi ho tumne kya kiya hai?", Maan growled out as he started to come downstairs, his eyes trained on his wife walking beside him.

Geet huffed as she walked with Maan, "Meri tarah? Ha!", she looked up, "Dekha Babaji! Dekha aapne! Kitni aasaani se mujhpe ilzaam daal rahe hain!", she looked down and glared at him, "Samar mujhpar nahi, aap par gaya hai! Ek dum aapki tarah ziddi! Dekhiye! School ka time ho raha hai! Aur usne school ke kapde bhi nahi pehne aur naashta bhi nahi kiya! Bilkul aapki tarah ziddi hai!"

"Meri tarah?", Maan spat as they reached the ground floor, "Meri tarah toh woh bilkul nahi hai! Main kitna disciplined hun aur woh kabhi kisi ki baat nahi sunta! No discipline at all! Meri tarah toh bilkul nahi hai Samar!"

Samar's eyes fell on the sofa and he grinned. Diving under it, he hid and listened to his parents fight.

"Achcha?", Geet sniped back, "Haan! Yeh bhi sahi hai! Woh toh aap pe bilkul nahi gaya hai! Woh toh aapki behen pe gaya hai! Uski tarah ek dum mastikhor!"

"Meri behen ko beech mein mat ghaseeto!", Maan roared.

Samar giggled from his hiding spot. For normal people, this fight between Mr. and Mrs. Khurana would have sounded like something big. But for Samar, it was normal. His parents always had these ridiculous fights which would get everyone laughing. Samar grinned, kisko tv dekhna hai jab Mummy Daddy ka jhagda sunke jyaada mazaa aata ho?

"Achcha ji? Aapki behen ne mere laadle Samar ko bigaad rakha hai!", Geet sniffed.

"Samar aur laadla? Ek number ka shaitaan hai tumhaara beta!", Maan snarled.

Samar was so lost in enjoying the argument that he failed to notice that his parents were coming near his hiding spot. And he failed to notice his father pointing out his hiding spot and his mother nodding.

"Mera beta? Waah! Yeh achcha hai! Achcha kaam kiya toh aapka beta aur masti ki toh mera beta? Maan, main keh rahi hun...", Geet's voice quieted down and Samar frowned. Why weren't they fighting anymore? Why can't he hear them? He looked up curiously and his eyes widened when he saw that both his parents were kneeling on the floor looking right at him. Samar pouted as his mother grabbed him by his ear and pulled him out.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! MUMMY!", Samar screamed.

Geet rolled her eyes. She hadn't held his ear that tight!

"Mummy ke bachche!", Maan growled, "Tu kitna bhi bhaagle! Tujhe toh aaj school jaana hi hoga!"

"Mujhe school nahi jaana!", Samar whined and stomped his foot.

Neither of his parents noticed it as they simply lifted him up by his arms and took him to dining table. They deposited him on the chair and ordered him to have his breakfast.

The boy pouted, "Ek phone aaya tha mummy ke mobile pe!", he muttered making his parents freeze. They looked at him with curiosity and worry knowing very well that he must have picked up the call and talked to the person. What if it was some unknown stranger?

"But main nai bataaunga kisne call kiya!", the boy innocently looked at them as his legs swayed to and fro, "Mujhe school nahi jaana! Mujhe school mat jaane do aur main aapko bataaunga ki kisne phone kiya tha!"

The boy looked innocently at them and Maan shook his head, "Waah! Chaar saal ki umar mein bargaining kar raha hai mera beta! Yeh toh isne jaroor Arnav se seekha hai! Gudiya ko chodo, yeh toh Arnav pe gaya hai!"

Geet chuckled and then got serious, "Tujhe bataane ki koi jaroorat nahi! Mujhe pata hai kisne call kiya hai!"

She lifted her phone from the hall and looked at the received calls' numbers. She smiled as she saw that Khushi had called. She made her face neutral and looked at her son, "Khushi ne phone kiya tha!"

Samar's jaw dropped open, "Hey Babaji! Aapko kaise pata?", he looked at her in awe and Maan and Geet struggled not to chuckle.

Geet dialed Khushi's number still chuckling at her son's antics. Her husband had just left with their son whom he would drop at school and then go to his office. It was Geet's job to pick him up two hours later.

"Hello Bhabhi!", a voice came and Geet smiled.

"Kaisi ho Khushi?", Geet asked and was alarmed when her sister-in-law started to cry.

"Khushi!", Geet spoke up in alarm. Why is Khushi crying? Is something wrong with her? Hey Babaji! Khushi is seven months pregnant. Kahin kuch ho gaya toh...

"Bhabhi!", her sister-in-law wailed again bringing Geet out of her thoughts.

"Khushi! Rona band kar! Kya hua bol? Bachche toh theek haina?", Geet asked and sighed in relief when Khushi replied sobbingly, "Haan Bhabhi! Bachche theek hain!"

Geet's relief vanished as listened to Khushi sob. Hey Babaji! Kahin Arnavji ya Anjaliji ko kuch...

"Khushi? Dekh! Ro mat! Apni Bhabhi ko bata! Kya hua? Arnavji, Anjaliji, ghar waale sab theek haina?", Geet coaxed her.

Khushi sniffled a little and then replied, "Haan! Theek hain!"

Geet huffed, now totally annoyed, "Oye! Toh phir tu ro kyun rahi hai?"

There was silence for few seconds and then came the wail, "Arnavji humein kahin baahar jaane nahi dete!" and the girl continued to sob. Hey Babaji! Geet slapped her forehead.
"Bas! Itne se ke liye tu enna vadda bakheda khada kar rahi hai!", Geet cried out.

"Bhabhi!", Khushi whined, "Bakheda? Yeh aap keh rahi ho! Humein laga aap toh humein samjhogi! Kyunki aapke aur humaare pati dono hi bade overprotective hain aur upar se aap humaare maayke se ho! Lekin aap bhi bhabhi...", and Khushi's voice wail raised its volume.

Geet winced at the volume and then sighed, "Khushi!"

When Khushi continued to cry, Geet literally shouted, "KHUSHI!"

Khushi shut up right away and Geet spoke up, "Dekho Khushi! Baat overprotectiveness ki nahi hai! Khushi, chaar saal hogayi tumhaari shaadi ko! Aur in chaar saalon mein jahaan humaare ghar beta hua, tumhaare aur Arnavji ke jholi mein sirf dukh hi aaye! Do baar miscarriage ho chukka hai tumhaara Khushi! Iss baar pregnancy bahut mushkil se seventh month tak pahunchi hai! Aur upar se judwaa bachche hain Khushi! Pehle se pregnancy ke complications ka risk aur upar se twins ka risk! Khushi! You cannot fault Arnav for being scared right?"

When Khushi hummed in agreement, Geet continued, "Bas kuch mahine aur Khushi! Phir sab theek ho jaayega! Bas kuch din tum apne pati ki overprotectiveness ko jhel lo! Phir ek baar bachche paida ho jaayein, phir jahaan jaana hai chali jaana!"

"Aap jo keh rahi hain theek hai Bhabhi! Lekin yahaan baat kuch aur hai!", Khushi whined and Geet frowned, "Matlab?"

Khushi sniffed as she explained, "Bhabhi! Jab yeh bachchon ki aane ki khush khabri humein mili, tabhi humne mannat maangi thi! Ki har Friday hum Mandir jaayenge aur Devi Maiyya ke darshan karenge! Toh har Friday Arnavji humein Mandir le jaate the! Bhabhi! Humein darr hai ki agar aaj hum nahi gaye toh humaare bachchon ko kuch ho jaayega! Isliye hum aaj bhi jaana chaahte hain! Lekin aaj Arnavji manaa kar rahe hain! Kehte hain ki seediyaan bahut hain mandir mein! Humein itni seediyaan chadni nahi chaahiye! Arre! Ghar mein bhi itni hi seediyaan hai! Phir bhi hum toh chadte hain, haina? Toh mandir ki seediyaan kyun nahi chad sakte?"

Geet closed her eyes. Khushi and her Arnavji! Ab Khushi ko kaise samjhaaun ki mandir ki seediyaan toh bas bahana hai! Tumhein Doctor ne bed rest kahaan isliye Arnavji manaa kar rahe hain! Galti ki maine! Geet scolded herself. Galti ki jab maine Arnavji aur Khushi ki baat maanli aur delivery ke liye Khushi ko maayke nahi laayi! She huffed and then turned to focus on the phone call.

"Dekho Khushi", Geet spoke gently, "Doctor ne tumhein aaraam karne ko kahaa hai! Toh tum mandir kaise jaa sakti ho? Dekho ghar mein mandir haina? Wahin pooja karlo!"

"Nahi!", Khushi whined, "Humein mandir jaana hai matlab jaana hai! Hum humaare bachchon ke saath risk nahi le sakte! Humein jaana hoga! Aur hum jaa rahe hain! Bas!"

"Khushi! Tum akele nahi jaa sakti!", Geet spoke in alarm, "Arnavji ko saath le jaao!"

"Nahi! Woh nahi samjhenge! Waise bhi humein apne bodyguard se chutti chaahiye! Bathroom jaane ke liye bhi permission maangni padti hai aisi naubat aagayi hai humaari! Nahi! Hum chale akele! Waise bhi Arnavji office gaye hain! Unke aane se pehle hum waapis aajaayenge! Kisi ko pata nahi chalega!"

"Khushi! Tu samajh nahi rahi hai!", Geet exclaimed, "Achcha Arnavji ko chod! Gharwaalon mein se kisi aur ko saath leja!"

"Nahi Bhabhi! Baaki saare gharwaale Arnavji ki haan mein haan mila rahe hain! Aap yeh sab chodiye Bhabhi! Aap bas humaara ek kaam keejiye! Hum sabse yeh bataake nikal rahe hain ki hum aapke ghar aa rahe hain! Koi pooche toh aap haan mein haan milaa deejiyega bas!", Khushi spoke and Geet's eyes widened.

"Kya? Main aisa jhoot nahi bol sakti!", Geet was shocked.

"Aap humaare liye jhoot bolengi! Dekho Bhabhi! Aapki pregnancy ke waqt aapko chup chupke gol gappe khilaaye the na humne? Veerji ko bhanak tak nahi padne di thi na humne? Ab aapki baari hai! You owe me one!", Khushi ranted. Geet refused but after few more words, Geet agreed to lie and they kept the phone.

Geet heaved a sigh. Yeh Khushi bhi na! Uff! Par main bhi kya kar sakti hun? Khushi bhi toh sahi thi! I do owe her! Pregnancy ke waqt jab Doctor ne mujhe teekha aur chatpata khaane se manaa kiya tha toh Khushi hi toh thi jo mere liye chup chupke gol gappe, chaat, pav bhaji le aati thi! Ab toh mujhe uska saath dena hi hoga! She huffed and turned around. As she walked away, she prayed to her Babaji! Babaji! Khushi ko sahi salamat rakhna!

Half hour later, Geet walked into Samar's room to take his clothes to laundry. Her eyes fell on an old blanket as she picked up his clothes and Geet smiled. That old blanket was embroidered by Khushi when Samar was born. Geet sighed as she remembered how heartbroken Khushi was when she miscarried first. Geet was seven months pregnant with Samar then and called Khushi to join her using the excuse of needing help taking care of the house. She kept Khushi involved in knitting embroidery and shopping and before Geet knew it, the quiet and sad Khushi who was depressed after loosing her baby was back to chirping and chattering. She gave all her love to her nephew and adored him to pieces.

As Geet folded the blanket, her eyes fell on a T-Shirt that said Best Buddy. Geet chuckled knowing that Arnav owned a similar one and both Arnav and Samar wore them on either of their birthdays. Geet expected Khushi to bond with Samar. After all, Samar was her nephew. Anjali may have kids but Khushi was not close to Anjali as she was to Maan. But what Geet did not expect was some months later, a broken Arnav arriving at their door with tears in his eyes announcing that they lost their second baby too. Maan consoled Arnav while Geet got ready to go and meet her Nanad who, she was sure, needed her support. Just then a baby Samar, who had just learned to crawl, crawled over to Arnav and raised his arms expecting Arnav to pick him up. Arnav had quietly picked him up, tears flowing down his cheeks. The toddler smiled at him and quietly rubbed his cheeks as if wiping the tears. That brought a smile on Arnav's face and since then, Arnav dotted over Samar and always said that Samar was his best friend. The best buddy T-Shirt was the gift Arnav had bought the day Samar joined school.

As she folded the clothes to take them to laundry, her phone rang. Thinking it was her husband calling, she cheerfully picked up the phone and belted out a chirpy hello. But instead of her husband's deep but gentle tone she got was a voice that she thought she would never hear again except in her deepest and darkest nightmares.

"Hello Geetto rani!"

Geet turned pale, her hand holding the phone fell down lifeless and she fell on her knees. No! No! It cannot be him! Yeh Dev nahi ho sakta! Dev toh mar chukka hai! Maine khud use maara hai!

"Oye meri Geetto! Tu mennu bhool gayi?", his voice came again and with shaking hands, Geet lifted the phone and placed it on her ear.

"Dev!", she whispered in horror.

"Arre waah! Tennu main yaad reh gaya! Badhiya ji badhiya! Mennu toh laga tha tu mennu bhool chuki hogi!", Dev rambled and Geet's jaw dropped open.

"Tu... tu... Tu... z...zzz...zzz...zin...da... kkkaise?", Geet stammered as fear gripped her head.

"Main kaise bach gaya? Badi lambi kahaani hai kudiye! Phir kabhi bataaunga! Tu ae sab chad! Tu iss aawaaz nu toh pehchaanti haina?", Dev spoke and Geet's eyes widened as she heard a small child's voice scream.

"NAHI!", Geet screamed as she recognized the voice. It was her son!

"SAMAR!", she screamed as tears started to stream down her cheeks.

"Kaisa laga mera jhatka Geet?", Dev asked in singsong voice.

Geet wiped her eyes and spoke with anger in her voice, "Dev! Mere puttar nu chad de! Warna main tennu nahi chadaangi!"

"Aaye haaye!", Geet could feel Dev leer at her, "Wahi garmi! Wahi tadap! Uff! Geet! Tu aaj bhi wahi teekhi mirchi hai re! Mennu na phir se tujhe todne ka mann kar raha hai! Tab nahi kar paaya! Lekin aaj tujhe main tod sakta hun, tere bachche ko todke! Todun kya?"

"NAHI!", Geet screamed.

Dev laughed, "Uff! Geet tu kinna chillandi hai! Thand pe kudiye! Vekh! Pehle main twadde puttar ki ungliyaan todunga, phir usde pair, phir usde hathh!"

"BAS! BAS KAR KAMEENE!", Geet shouted.

"CHUP!", Dev shouted back, "Bahut jee li tu ne apni zindagi! Ab baari hai tujhe teri aukaad dikhaane ki! Aur woh main dikhaake rahunga! Tere jagah meri paaun ke neeche hai aur main tujhe wahaan laake rahunga! Par pehle teri khushiyaan ujaadunga, tujhe barbaad karunga! Aur phir jab tujhe mere paaun ke neeche rakhke tujhe teri nazron se giraaunga na, phir tujhe maar daalunga kyunki tu ne mere uss Bhai se shaadi ki jiski maut maine bachpan se chaahi hai! Yaad rakh! Geet! Tum dono ko barbaad kardunga main, teri khushiyaan cheen lunga! Lekin pehle tere bete ki jaan lunga!"

"NAHI!", Geet screamed out, "Mere bachche ko chod de! Usne kya kiya hai? Usne kya bigaada hai tera? Uska kasoor kya hai?"

"Kasoor? Woh tera aur Maan ka beta hai, yahi uska kasoor hai! Aur iss kasoor ki sazaa toh milegi!"

And just then the call cut.

"NAHI! DEV! NAHI!", Geet screamed but there was no voice from the other side.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Dilli, Police reached a building. A report came from the building few hours ago that a young girl had escaped the building. The building was a mental asylum. The Police looked around and realised that the girl must have had some help in escaping. When they interviewed the nurses taking care of the patients, they were told that for the last few days before her escape, the girl was heard mumbling, "Main Khushi ko maar daalungi! Main Khushi ko maar daalungi!"

Thank you, take care and have fun,
