The function started with all teasing, masti and exchange of sweets and gifts between both the families. And now it's time for Ring ceremony. Bride and Groom are asked to exchange their engagement rings.
Maan extended his hand waited for Geet to extend her hand to wear the ring. But Geet stood still.
Part-3
Seeing no motion from Geet, Priya slightly pushed her hand forward without anyone noticing. Maan made her wear the ring. Then Geet slipped the ring in Maan's finger without even looking at him. He noticed it.
They both together took blessings from the elders. Few minutes later, Annie played the music for the couples to dance.
Maan extented his hand asking for a dance. She looked at the crowd who were looking at them only. She felt more cautious and gave her hand. He held her gracefuly and started to dance. All others also started to dance with them. While dancing, Maan felt her uneasiness at first then later she relaxed. They didn't even talk for so many years and now they are engaged so soon making it awkward for both. They danced for a while after which he asked,
Maan whispered- Geet
Geet looked up to see his face and their eyes met. đł
Maan looked at her with so much love. He saw something in her eyes that he couldn't make out.
Maan- I need to ask you something.
Geet - ji
Maan started to wonder from where did this ji' come suddenly. She never used to give him respect before.. lol đ
Without wasting any time, he asked
Maan- Are you happy with this marriage?
Geet was surprised that why suddenly he would ask such a question. As if he heard her mind voice ,
Maan- I know its quite too late to ask about your concern but still... I have been trying to ask you this since long but couldn't. I just wanted to make sure that no one is forcing you into this relationship.
She felt a pang in her heart. Though none forced her but still she couldn't enjoy the moment like a normal girl. She have to tell him soon. After hearing her out, whatever is his decision, she is ready to accept it. She gathered all her courage and spoke
Geet- ji nahi. No one forced me. I just feel its happening too fast. She told him honestly.
Maan- Yeah... Even I told my parents the same. But they want it to happen in a month before I go back to US.
Geet- ji I know
Maan- and pls stop saying ji.. Call me Maan.
Geet didn't said anything just nodded. He couldn't hold himself and said
Maan- So, you like me!
It was rather like a question than a statement. He is expecting like a child waiting for a chocolate. Geet, instead of answering,
Geet- Maan I need to...before she could complete her sentence Jhansi (Maan's mom) came there and took them for dinner as it is getting late.
During dinner, Maan was glancing at Geet every now and then. Seems like she is busy eating. Then later, the Khuranas took the leave. . While leaving, Maan waved his hand to say bye and Geet smiled back. Aww, she is looking so cute when she smiles.
Geet's parents sighed in relief that everything went well. Geet is lying down in her bed looking at the ceiling trying to sleep.
On the other side Maan also couldn't sleep and is in dilemma. What shall I do now?
Suddenly Geet's phone buzzed. She wondered who might call her at this time of hour. Her eyes widened on seeing Maan's name flashing.
She picked up the call thinking he might have something important to talk.

Hello Geet. You are still awake? He asked surprisingly yet happy

there was silence for a while. He called her without even thinking and now didn't know what to talk. Suddenly he remembered that Geet was trying to tell him something in the function.
You were telling something na.. what is it?
Oh my God! What will I do now? How to start? She can't tell him anything on the phone.After few seconds of thinking

He was surprised at first. He too want to meet her and talk about so many things.

They hung up. Maan is so excited to meet Geet. At last, he got a chance to express his feelings. He won't be able to sleep now.
