Maan married Geet not for revenge but for punishment. He wants to be punished for the pain he caused Geet and who else to punish him then the victim? That is why he silently ate the spicy food. I think he will not fight Geet for anything she throws at him.

And it was interesting to see that Maan wants to keep Geet away from Singhania. This is not a power play or a new trick to make Geet miserable. Maan is trying to protect her.
