hey... im just a reader of her stories just like you... and you gave these comments as your feedback to her, so i probably don't and shouldn't have a say in it... but still coz i felt that as maaneet fanfiction readers, we are having the same interests, i could probably take a chance to give my opinion on your viewpoint...

with no offence intended... i just wanna say that you could have been a little less harsh on the writer... as in I know you just being direct and with a lot of writers leaving the forum and the stories incompleted, you might feel a bit angry that they are being inconsiderate towards the readers, who traverse this journey with them are left stranded mid way... but we shouldnt compare them with her... she infact came back on readers request to update this... if u read my comment, u'll get to know im a die hard maaneet fan, and for me to accept this story without those characters was difficult... but she does not want to limit herself to a particular show characters... she changed the names to give this story a universal appeal... u wanna take them as maaneet, u can... and as she has not given faces, and she is not writing on any other famous couple as such, after 10 updates, u just have to give them the faces of maan and geet, and those who have accepted the random names arjun, raina can easily accept maan and geet in their place, as for them it will be just another pair of names, those people clearly don't care much about character names, if they can accept arjun- raina, they can accept maan-geet, and for the rest, it would be wish fullfillment... nobody disappointed... and she is one of the few writers, who is actually taking such a kind of feedback on everything and willing to change according to reader's opinion... we should really respect her for that...

i think reet felt that she can obviously write a better story than its previous version, its been 2.5 years since her last update on this story... she has matured, her writing has... she might wanna change a few things here and there to develop the further plot... so i guess editing and reposting is justified... comparisons are inevitable, but think this as another different story with the same background... read it again with no preconceptions and u would realize that she has actually written a better plot than the previous one... don't relate... i would suggest you to read this story...

i didn't intend to hurt any of your feelings... i apoligize if u feel offended in any way... to each his own...

thanks a lot for ur suggestion.u have not at all hurted my feelings. we all have a right to express what we like. so no worries. i totally understand ur pov and i respect u and reet di's opinion also, thats why i did not ask her to change anything.

as for this story goes i cannot imagine it to be a new story. if i imagine it to be a new story then what about the old story that i have read so many times? for me its not about the names, i have read devi and rockbarbie di's stories which are not based on maaneet, so i have no problem with the names, but this story is different,its very close to my heart and i was so desperately waiting for her to finish this story.

but its not possible for me to accept this story now with so many changes,i am just not getting the feel of it. if she had finished that story from chapter 33 onwards and then started a season 2 with names arjun and raina then i would have definitely read it.i wouldn't have any problem.but this story is set for me in a different way.if today J.K.ROWLING changes Harry Potter's name and gives a different name, changes a few things and publishes the same books, there also i won't read it.

try to understand my difficulty. she is a wonderful,great writer and she has full freedom to write anything. i just don't want to bug her with my constant comparisons. OLD is always GOLD for me.i wish her all the luck for this story. di plz continue writing it, i won't read it but many people have waited to read this story till its end. so plz write for them.

U know I rarely comment like this but I feel we should at least consider about reet. She had started re-writing ILWE only for us readers. She might have left it incomplete like many other writers had but she came back. I can understand that lot of us have issues with name change, plot change and so on. I also have read the old version many times so even it is difficult for me to connect as well. But we all know how good Reet is with her writing. I am sure we all also want her to continue. Lets give her our support. Maybe we will like the new names and new plot better than the older version. Lets not discourage her. I am sorry if I have hurt anyone. I just wanted to put forward my view.

agree she is a great writer, no doubt and she came back after long gape, by that time , readers like me , i will just talk about myself, i had read ILWE say about more than 10 times, just made sure, that i read it . even i knew its was not completed when i came to read it for second time,that didn't make me feel her absence from IF, i sent lots of pms to her but her inbox was full and i think she wasnt active for long time. so Reet didn't get time to check her inbox and sorted the things out. i used to be a silent reader for yrs, even after i joined IF, i dont ask pms or etc, i just read when any update pleases me. and do i have to tell u why i read ILWE again & again.?

@Reet dear, i already said sorry in my last post .was that not a maaaneet story i wudnt had asked u to make the changes . if u wanted, u could have opened a raina-arjun's thread and wrote on their forum. u surely could got many readers in their forum there (i hope there must be their forum, i have no idea about that). i had seen writers posting as maaneet version and other couple's version stories. separately. And didn't u ask for readers opinions ? i just voiced mine.

i am so sorry if i hurt u or any of ur budyy out here. But i am not sorry, for whatever i said either in last post of mine or this post. bcz its purely my opinion. i had seen , u have lots of friends here, and i surely dont want to be punished by them by any other post for voicing my opinion.
