He was mesmerised to see her. He just forgot that he was there to perform...

Soon Geet ended her dance...and her heart was beating fast and she came back to reality when she was appreciated by loud claps...

Everyone including Maan and his groups was astonished for such a beautiful performance...

Pinky came forward and hugged Geet.

P: Geet you performed really well...Congrats you won the dare.

Geet went forward to Maan.

G: So Mr.Khuranna...I won and now you will have to do the things which I will say. Is that right..

M: hhhmmm Ok.

Maan came back to reality by Geet' s voice... He didn't want to show that he was impressed by her so he just said...ok and went home.

The gang was surprised to see this new avatar of Maan because as far as they remember he has never lost a single dare.

Geet was also a bit taken a back but she ignored and started thinking about the things which she will ask him to do.

The next day Maan reached the university and at the same time Geet also reached.

G: So Mr.Khuranna are you ready?

M: Yeah! I am not afraid of your stupid dares!

G: How about I tell you in the last period as for now I am getting late for my class...

Geet just walked out and Maan was just starring her and thinking about the guts she has...Maan then also went to his classes and attended them though bunked most of the classes and which he attended ...the professor were getting irritated by his childish questions.

At the end of the day most people had left the university and only a bunch were there. So Geet decided to give dare to him though she hadn't thought about it.

She went to the cafeteria and there she saw him and his gang...At that time Pinky told her a very stupid dare in her ear.

G: So Mr Khurannaa.

Maan turned and looked at her...

M: Yes. I was waiting for you.

G: hmmm... Let me think.

M: Don't be nervous...I am a very daring person.

G: OK. You have to stand in the middle of the cafeteria...on the table.

M: That's the dare...I thought that it would be really hard...but after all what can I expect from a girl.

Maan went at the middle and stood up on the table.

G: Now Mr.Khurana say loudly...what I am saying...

"I am a big idiot and have an elephant sized ego'

M: WHAT!!!! I will not say that!!!

G: Sorry Mr Khurana but it's a dare. so that's good... u have already lost it...

M: But-

Geet gave him a look that clearly stated I'm-so-scared-to-accept-a-dare' . Maan took a deep breath and said those very words out loud.

At a moment there was silence and then everyone broke in fits of laughter. Maan's gang was nearby and Adi said...

Adi: Wow!!! It's about time you realized that. Hahahahha

Adi said that playfully and Maan knew that other students also commented on it..

Mike: Hahahhaha...Maan it's about time you noticed.Hhahahahha

Lilly: Hhahahhaah. I always knew that he had some ego problems...

These comments were just adding fuel to Maan's ego. Maan glanced at Geet and saw her laughing with her hand on her stomach. Soon she had tears coming out of her eyes because of all the laughing.

Although there were not much students present in the cafeteria but still all this effected Maan's ego was hurt.

Maan went out of the cafeteria and went out in the parking lot. He drove in his porch 911 turbo. When he reached the KM he directly went to his room. Maan was very, very angry.

A few days have gone by but Maan anger is still not stable and the final nail to the coffin was that even all those professors were praising that girl. They were always telling that that girl in first year is so intelligent then us second year's. It's only been a week that this girl has arrived and she has taken over the whole university. Well now Maan's devil brain started working. Maan thought

Well I'll show everyone how intelligent that girl is. Be prepared Ms Geet Handa. You should have thought twice about messing with Maan Singh Khurana'

Geet has well settled in the university. All the professors adore her work and she is working very hard. Everything is going well, though she has not met Maan in these few days. Although when she enters the university she sees him and his gang at their usual spot of hangout before classes. But he always ignores her. Geet has been thinking about this and thought that maybe she should apologise for that dare and all. Geet was looking for a good opportunity to apologise him. But she had been really busy with all the university assignments and other projects.

Today Geet thought that she will apologise him after she is done with her project presentation that takes place on Wednesday. With that thought she entered the university with a smile.

Maan saw that Geet entered with a smile in the university. He thought

Well Ms Handa that will be your last smile. By tomorrow you will be so shocked at what happened'

He smirked at his thought. Maan a few days ago came to know that the first years were having a presentation of their projects. Maan plan was to exchange Geet's CD with another one. Maan thought...

This will teach her a lesson. She humiliated me in public now I will do the same. After all you know that they say an eye for an eye'

Today is Geet's presentation and she was a little nervous. Geet was in cafeteria with Pinky and Kathy, Kathy is their new friend. She is really good and fun loving and talkative.

P: Yes Kathy I agree with you I think that Eclipse was the best out of all the Twilight series.

K: Hmmm. I know I just love Taylor Lautner in it.

Pinky noticed that Geet was very quiet.

P: Hey Geet what are you thinking???

G: Oh nothing just the presentation.

K: Oh come on Geet it will go well. You have been working on it since two weeks.

G: Well I hope so.

P: It's almost time for class I think we should get going. Geet have you got your CD???

G: Oh I forgot to take it out of my locker. I will just get it you guys carry on.

K: Okay but come soon

G: Yeah..

Geet went to her locker and took out her CD from her locker and was heading toward the class and that is when Maan directly bumps into her. Geet book and the CD fell from her hands. Geet looked at Maan and was about to apologise but he raised his hand as a sign not to. Geet was about to bend down to get her books but before her Maan got down and picked it up.

G: Thanks

M: No problem...

Geet went off to her class completely unaware of what is about to happen.

Geet reached the class and...here everyone was preparing for their presentation...many people were nervous as they had never given it before...Once the professor entered everyone came back on their seats. One by one everyone was giving presentations and the competition was getting harder and harder as everyone had prepared well.

Now it was Geet's turn. Her friends assured her that she will do good...but her sixth sense was telling her that something will go wrong.

She put the CD in her laptop and as soon as she opened it she saw some cartoons started to play...though everyone was not aware of this as she had not attached the projector with the laptop. She panicked...and was shocked that who must have done it...

Prof: Geet start your presentation!

G: Sir I cannot give presentation as it is incomplete, can you give more time..

P: This is not the way...just give us that presentation till you have prepared.

G: Please Sir.

P: Geet show it to me...Or else you don't need to attend the classes for my subject for the rest of the year. The door is that way.

G: Sir...

P: Connect your laptop with the projector Right Now! I want no arguments!

Geet connected it and everyone started laughing as Tom and Jerry show started showing on the screen. The professor became very angry...

G: Sir I am sorry sir...I don't know where my CD went...Sir I had my presentation before this class.

P: Is this some kind of joke...Now you are giving me those lame excuses...Geet I didn't expect this attitude from you...you didn't even try to put any effort for the presentation at the first place. Get out from my class right now!

Geet had tears in her eyes. Her friends were there but were helpless as if they spoke they themselves would be in a problem. On one side a group of spoiled boys started to tease her.

S1:Ohhh...Geet we didn't expect this from you...

S2: Look at the Nerd!

Geet couldn't bear the comments and left the class immediately...she understood that who had changed the Cd...It was Maan. She rushed to the garden and sat there on the bench. Tears were rolling down on the cheeks. She didn't know that there is one person who was looking at her and was feeling guilty.

Maan was already there in the hall watching her every movement secretly. But when she was teased by that group and even when the professor pounced on her with no fault of her...he felt guilty. When she left the class, he also followed her. Maan wanted to apologise to her immediately to her as he knew he had crossed the limits as he should not have humiliated her in front of the professor. Maan sat on the bench beside her.

M: Geet I...

Geet removed her tears and cut him off

Part 5

Geet removed her tears and cut him off

G: You don't need to say anything...I am sorry Mr.khuranna I should have thought before I would have messed with you MAAN SINGH KHURANA. I thought that in the cafeteria very few people were there and only our group was there so it will not be a big deal. I didn't want to humiliate you. It was just for fun. Right after that I wanted to apologise but we couldn't meet. I am really sorry for humiliating you (joining her hands in front) but what you did. You humiliated me in front of all the strangers and even the professor. By which my entire year classes depend, by which my scholarship is dependent. Mr Maan Singh Khurana I don't have parents like you who are wealthy enough to pay my fee and other expenses. If you fail in a subject it doesn't matter to you or your parents since they are used to see you failing for the past two years. But Mr I do feel guilty when my parent's money gets wasted. My next year's scholarship depends on this year's performance. In later years you may be the CEO of your fathers company but I will have to start my career from scratch! So Mr I am sorry! I hope I will not see your face next year since you have ruined one of my very important presentations and I will not be getting the next year scholarship anymore!

And she left the place,

Maan was very upset after hearing those things,

Maan (self-thought): Why did you do that. She just asked you say those things for fun...but you humiliated her. Now you need to do something..

Maan straight went to the professor and told the entire truth that it was his mistake and in order to take revenge he did that,

P: Ok Maan as you are saying this than I will accept this and will give her one more chance.

M: Thank you Sir

The day was gone as the presentation was in the second last class.

After that Geet's friend consoled her. Later she started walking to towards her hostel

While on her way the same gang of boys surrounded her and...

S1: why what happened???

S2: Are you Scared???

S3: You were a very daring person? Now what happened? Why these tears? Maan ko tum nay barey kharey dares diye the!

S4: Bus yar aisi hi larkiya hoti hai.. Waha par kisi ameer admi ko phasay hoga aur idhar agai hogi. Abh yaha kay expenses afford nahi kar parahi hog i to yaha Maan ko phasa rahi hai!

(She is one of those girls.. In India she must have trapped a wealthy man and came here and now since she can't afford the expenses here her target is Maan!

S3: Geet Maan will use you and throw you away. It' s better that you come with us.

Geet couldn't hear those cheap words on herself nor on Maan

G: what do you want? Its between Maan and me so better watch out!

Geet was always the person who couldn't hear ill-talking of anyone!

S2: we want you to

Maan saw her leaving alone so he was walking behind her in order to reach for her and ask for apologies but when he saw the gang disturbing Geet. He rushed there as he knew that they have some bad intentions since they were famous for that and when the student said

S: we want you to...

He received a punch from Maan. Geet hid behind him and clutched his shirt. Tears started brimming in her eyes.

Maan threatened them and they left them.

M: Are you alright??? Should I drop you till your hostel?

Geet didn't say anything and Maan took her to his car and asked her to sit.

Their drive was silent. They reached her hostel and when Geet was about to come out of the car...

G: Thank you Mr.Khuranna

M: No problem. I will only accept your thank you if you have forgiven me.

Geet just left from there.

Next day

Maan was waiting by the side of his car waiting for Geet in order to get her forgiveness. When Geet entered and as soon as she saw Maan she wanted to run from there. The last thing that she wanted was to see his face. Maan approached her but she ignored him and went to her class. There she was told that the professor had given her the chance to present the project and also told that it was Maan who told him that it was a prank played by him.

Geet gave the presentation and was overwhelmed by the response she got from all the students and the professor. She was given "the Best Presentation" title. She was very happy today.

She started searching for Maan to say thank you to him as if he had not admitted his mistake the professor would have never given her the chance to give the presentation again. She was searching for him and saw similar figure in the garden. She went there and called him.

G: ummm!!!Mr.Khurannna.

But before she could proceed Maan cut her.

M: I'm really Sorry Geet for hurting you. I really feel guilty. I should have not done this. Please forgive me...Please.

G: Maan I forgive you but on one condition.

M: I am ready to accept any of your condition just for forgiveness.

G; Last time also I gave you a dare and look what you did to me. Now I am really afraid if I put another condition what will you do.

M: At least I won't take revenge that I know.

G: Than promise me Maan that you will never hurt anyone.

M: I promise Geet I will never.

G: Maan...Sorry Mr.khurana...I want to thank you for what you have done...thanks.

M: Stop calling me Mr.Khurana it feels like I am scientists who you are giving too much respect that I am ... Call me Maan.

G: Yeah sure.

M: By the way I want you to accept my one more request as well. Will you go to drink coffee with me? Please don't say no. I will think that you have not forgiven me.

G: Yeah sure. At least a scientist has a brain

Geet said the last part in a quite whisper.

After this incident they became very good friends...their friendship blossomed. They used to have their sweet fights than manofying each other. They were the favourites of their professors in their class but the difference was that Geet in good terms but Maan in real bad terms. Maan had even failed one year and now was in the class of Geet (now geet is in the third year) Geet always used to tell Maan that he should focus on his studies but Maan used to pay no heed.

One Day:

G: Maan please focus on your studies. There are only two months left in the final exams. You have to pass these exams.

M: Stop talking like my mom. Geet I want to enjoy my life not like you who studies her head off...NERD.

G: But Maan this is for our own good. After that we will have a job. We can live happily after that. Just think about it.

Maan didn't reply and went away.

At the prom night also Maan and Geet and arguments related to this topic.

M: Stop pestering me Geet. If you want to study then study I don't want to study...what you think of yourself? For the past month you are annoying. Please leave me alone. I have my father's business to look after that. My account is always filled with money. I don't have to do a job after I do my bachelors. You get it. It is you middle class people who need to study...you see we are high class and people like you work under us not above us.

G: Just stop that...not a word more. I am leaving after my exams... I will not pester you anymore. I am going for my masters to Greece. Thanks Maan for showing me my status...I thought you were my friend but I was wrong people like you...Just forget it...

Tears started to brim in her eyes now.

M: Just stop blackmailing me with your tears...Just go home and study. I don't want to see your face anymore. I hate you.

G: Even I don't want to see you!!!

M: Really Geet don't say that Yeh tum ko hi bhari pare gha...after all you are the one asking for my help all the time. You always run into trouble and then you need someone to fix it.

G: Maan I'm not the one always asking for help and if it weren't for me then your name would not have even send to give the exam. I was the one who did all your assignments for you!!!

M: Geet did I ask you for that. Did I?

G: Well Maan I did that because I considered you to be my friend. My very good friend but I guess that others were right that you are nothing but a spoilt brat who has nothing to do besides wasting his father's money!!! You can never stand you on your own feet and can never be successful!!!I was right about you when I met you!

M: Geet don't you dare go there!!! And yes I can do ANYTHING! I am Maan Singh Khurana! And trust me Geet I'll be more successful then you!

G: I hope Maan! I hope! If one day if you succeed in your life I will surely come to you to get your autograph. My all prayers are with my friend!

M: I will wait for that moment!

After their big fight Maan and Geet stopped meeting. After exams Geet went to Greece to complete her studies while she stayed there. There result came and Geet topped in University of London. While Maan failed. All his friends had passed in their exams with very good grades but he was the only one who didn't score well. At this time he regretted saying those words to Geet and focusing on studies. Now, he knew the importance of her words. Maan wanted to meet Geet but she was away from him and that is also only because of him

On that day Maan promised himself that he will really work hard and will complete his education with flying colours.

After 2 years he came out of university of London with a Master's degree in his hand. He was proud of himself. Now his main motive was to take his father's business to that extent where no one had ever believed it to be.

In between Maan used to miss Geet like hell. He had started to love Geet. He wanted to reach that height as soon as possible so that he could meet Geet and tell her that it was all because of her.

Day after day Maan's father's business flourished overall world and in the span of three years reached to its highest height. Now he was just waiting for his Geet to come. Somewhere he knew that she would just appear because he knew that she would never break her promise. He knew that her friends mean to her a lot.

On the other hand Geet completed her Masters and immediately got a job in a firm. After two years after gaining enough experience she was offered a job in world famous firm. She also used to miss Maan a lot. Every day she used to Google about Maan's achievements...and would become happy. She was just waiting for the right moment to just go to him.

Finally it was announced that Maan is nominated for the award. She couldn't stop herself. She packed her bags and left for her home land where Maan's business head office is and where he lives.

Both of them started moving towards each other...

M: yeah sure...Give me the paper.

G: Actually I don't have a paper. You see I just returned today so on my way couldn't fetch a notebook. For the mean time can you give me your autograph on my hand? Sir I am a big fan of yours. Please Sir...

And Geet smirked.

Maan also had a smile on his face.

Maan removed a pen from his pocket and moved forward to grab her hand. And jerked her towards him and just hugged her. It was as if she was the most precious thing in the world. The moment lasted for ever...they didn't care for who else was there. They stayed in that position for god knows how much time.

M: Geet where were you. I missed you so much.

Geet didn't reply for some time.

G: I was always with you.(she pointed towards his heart) Here! I knew your every achievement.

M:Then why did you come so late. You know I have been waiting for the past 3 years! The first year was really hard when I came here to grab my award. I thought you would have come but you didn't!

G: I was waiting for the right time.

Maan remained silent for a few moments admiring her and then told her

M: Geet I want to say something...

In the meantime the public was dumbstruck to see the scene in front of them. His bodyguards were stopping the media from coming.

Maan sat down on his knees grabbed her hand.

G: Maan what are you doing?

M: Geet I just want to say that I am crazily in love with you since the day you left me. Geet I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to see you first in all my achievements and I want to share all my life's happiness and sadness with you only. So Geet will you give me the pleasure to spend your life with that person who has an elephant sized ego and is an idiot to let you go. Geet, will you marry me?

P1: Say yes!!!

P2: So Romantic

P3: Women he loves you a lot...just say yes.

Geet was stunned by his proposal. She didn't expect this so early. Tears started flowing down her cheeks out of happiness.

G: Yes. I will marry you.

Everyone started clapping. Here Maan took out a box from his pocket. He opened a box and beautiful diamond ring came into view.

Maan put the beautiful ring on her delicate hands and then the gasps of the public became louder. He stood up and immediately embraced her in his arms.

M: Now i don't want to see a single tear in my angels eyes!Hmm

Geet just nodded.

They were bought back to reality due to the hassle of media.

Geet became a little nervous due to the present scene and clutched his arms. Maan knew that Geet can not handle the media at this point. Though he knew she is confident but somewhere he had started to understand more of her. Her slight expression told him what she is thinking.

M: Just stay with me. Ok

Geet just nodded

Maan put his other hand on her shoulder in the form of a side hug.

The reporters pounced on them with questions.

M: This is would-be-Mrs Maan Singh Khurana, my fianc. We will marry after a month from this date.

Maan didn't answer any of their questions. His one line was enough for tomorrows headlines in newspaper.

R: Breaking News the most eligilble bachelor, Maan Singh Khurana at last has announced his wedding. We know that many girls heart would be broken but we think he deserves her after so much yearning.

After the announcement the reporters wanted to further question but Maan took her into the hall.

In the hall everyone congratulated him. And the event started.

Maan was about to be given the award for the best entrepreneurs but here another surprised waited for him.

The host said while Maan was waiting for his award on the stage.

H: So here to present this awards may we call upon the most successful women who works in the foreign branch of KC...
