Chapter 7

After taking some rest, Geet decided to get up and go get the kids ready for school. She turned around and tried to wake Maan up first, "Maan!"

"Hmm..?"

"Wake up and go get ready!"

"Hmm five more minutes, please!" replied Maan, pulling the blanket over his head.

"Fine, but only five minutes and no more, okay?" Saying that she left the room to get the kids ready.

She walked over to Aryan's bed, to see him still sleeping peacefully. She bent down to place a light kiss on his forehead and then walked over to Veer and Yash's bed.

"Rise and shine, boys!" she said softly to wake them up, "come on, you will be late for school."

"Mom, just five more minutes!" Yash and Veer replied at the same time.

"Uff! Like father, like sons." She said, shaking her head.

"Well if you guys don't wake up fast, than your dad is going to eat all those pancakes alone." She said, trying to trick them.

"Pancakes?" came the instant reply from the boys.

Veer: "I want chocolate chip pancake."

Yash: "And I want blueberry pancake."

"Okay, but you have to go get your shower first." Geet said, already putting out their school uniforms.

Now that she was almost done with the sons, she made her way back to her room to deal with the father. She walked close to him to wake him up but instead he pulled her back in the bed with him.

"Maan, you need to get up now."

"Why? I like it like this."

"You have to drop off the kids."

"Fine, but can I at least get a good morning kiss?"

"Okay but pehle mujhe choriye."

"Haha! I know you will try to run away and it's not going to work this time."

"Fine," she said, giving him a kiss on his right cheek.

"One more," Maan said, pointing to his left cheek and loosening his grip on Geet. Geet also kissed him without any objection but as soon as she got the perfect opportunity, she got away from Maan's grip.

"What? You are not done yet, what about my third kiss?"

"Keep dreaming, Mr. Khurana" she said winking at him.

After making sure that Maan went in the shower, she went to check on the junior Khuranas. She helped them out with their school uniform and shoes. By the time the twins were ready, Aryan also woke up. "Look who is awake!" Geet said cheerfully and Aryan gave her a big smile. She picked Aryan up and carried him to the bathroom to wash his face, while she asked Veer and Yash to go downstairs and have their breakfast with Daadi.

When she was done washing Aryan's face, she walked back to her room to check on maan, and Maan was standing in front of the mirror, fixing his tie. On seeing his father, Aryan left Geet's hand and ran to Maan, "Daddy," he called out and grasped on to Maan's leg happily.

"Wow! Someone woke up cheerful today." Said Maan and picked Aryan up and carried him downstairs to the dining table.

They all had their breakfast together. The kids enjoyed their pancakes, Geet and Dadi ate parathas, while Maan had his favorite pasta. After eating, Geet walked Maan and the twin through the door and handed over their backpacks to them.

"I love you, Mama!" said Veer, hugging Geet and kissing her cheek.

"I love you more!" said Yash, mirroring Veer's action.

"Awe! I love you guys too." Geet hugged them both.

Maan got in the car with the kids and Geet reminded him to pick the kids up on time from school. She waved at them and then went back inside to finish her breakfast and also help Aryan with his. Then she took him to give him his bubble bath. And when she was done, she was damn tired and Dadi could clearly see it in her eyes, so she offered to take care of Aryan while Geet went and took some rest.

While on the other hand, someone was keeping an eye on the school and the twins, and waiting for the perfect opportunity. They were going to put their plan to work today, they have already waited a lot and today will finally be the day. And when they saw Veer coming out of the school alone, busy reading a book and with no security guards around, they knew this was the opportunity they have been waiting for.
