Part1
Maan wiped his hands with napkin as he came out of the washroom.His back muscles pained little as it was quite busy day for him.He was attending the patients continuously since 9.30 am.He looked at the clock which was showing 12.30 pm now.Given the number of patients outside waiting for their turn,he knew he had to skip today's lunch too..He sat on his desk as he ordered the nurse to send the next patient after ten minutes.He wanted to relax for a while..After spending five minutes with his head resting on head rest and eyes closed,he felt little rejuvenated.He opened the blinds so he could look outside to see the number of patients.It was then his gaze caught a beautiful face outside..She was sitting with a small girl in the corner having toys and board games.He himself had brought those toys there to make his scary "dental clinic" a little amiable for kids..She and the small girl with her were busy playing with the toy kitchen set.They were cooking some splendid dishes in tiny plastic utensils on an imaginary gas stove. Maan gave an amusing smile watching an adult playing with toy kitchen set with such conviction.He noticed both the girls were talking in between,which he was not able to hear because of distacne.He removed his "white coat" as he went outside to listen the interesting conversation between two girls..He stood near the water cooler in pretext of drinking some water but his ears and eyes were fixed on the girls..
"Geet didi..you did not add the salt to your curry yet.. let me help you.."The younger girl said to elder one as she added "imaginary salt" with little pink spoon to "imaginary curry",,
"Thank you so much.."Elder one replied with a smile. Maan noticed her flinching with pain when she tried to smile as he saw her hand going to her cheek.His heart filled with strange excitement knowing she herself needed treatment.
"You keep stirring the "curry"..I would make "Rotis" now.." Small girl suggested with serious face.Soon she was busy rolling the first imaginary roti.She put the roti on the "Tawa"before starting rolling the next one.She kept rolling the roti for next three minutes..She would have continued her task if words from elder girl had not disturbed her.
"Oh my god..Oh my god.Your roti has burned..."The elder one yelled.Her yelling got different responses from all the people present in the waiting area.While Maan chocked on water in an attempt to control his laughter,the younger girl started crying badly for her burned roti.Rest of the patients were staring at her incredulously..After some time,little girl was steered to sofa by her mother after throwing a irritated look to Geet who was responsible for making her daughter cry.Maan went back to his desk as he asked the nurse to send the next patient in...

Geet tried to breath normally as nurse made her lay on the sophisticated "Examination table"which seemed more like an "operation table" with all the pipes and instruments attached to it.Visiting a dentist alone was the the biggest dare for geet.She tried to calm herself but her anxiety attacked her with much force as the big "light" on her head flashed.Doctor had turn it on to examine her as he came close to her..It was then she saw those"enchanting chocolate brown" eyes.She was instantly lost in those beautiful eyes..She felt a desperate urge to see his complete face but His remaining face was hidden well beneath the mask .Geet kept looking in those eyes unblinkingly till he inserted some instrument in her mouth.He had stretched her one cheek to examine her mouth properly.Geet cursed her destiny to make her meet the "man of her dreams" in such a situation.Every girl in this world wanted to look like a "fairy" at this crucial moment and here,she was looking like one of the "distorted faces" in "mirror mazes",she used to visit with her father in the childhood...Those "distorted cum funny faces" were fun when she was ten,not at twenty five.,She thought with disappointment in her eyes.
"Gum muscles have covered your wisdom tooth completely..Area is swelled badly..Those muscles are needed to be removed so tooth can come out easily.." Geet heard him say in his husky baritone.While she wanted him to concentrate on her beautiful hazels,he was looking at some disgusting swelling in her mouth.
It took sometime for geet to overcome the affect of his voice and process his words.."Hmm.."She spoke nodding her head.
"Ohk..Lets start the procedure then..It would not take more than fifteen minutes.." He exclaimed.
"Hmm.."She again nodded like an obedient school girl..
"I would give you local anesthesia..You would not feel any pain then.."He explained further as he brought a "syringe" kind of thing near her lips.
Syringe in his hands as well as word "anesthesia" were enough for geet to come out from her dreamland..
"Are you going to operate me????" She asked with wide eyes..
"Well not technically but its like a "minor surgery".."Maan said as he tried to inject the syringe in her gum.."Relax it won't pain much.."
Geet tried to focus on his chocolate brown eyes but syringe in his hand was not letting her.."Injection" was a nightmare for her since childhood..She tried alot to control her panic but as the syringe touched her gum,she started screaming like lunatics...
Maan had only seen kids screaming like this in his career not any adult..He was wondering what he should do to stop her when he heard cries of some kids who were waiting for their turn outside. Geet's wails had scared them for sure..He had never lost his patience but this girl had angered him beyond limits..He tried to make her understand but she was nowhere near to listening..Finding no other way,he closed her mouth with his gloved hands as he yelled...."Shut up...Just shut up.."
