I am so darned late this time. Apologies, please.
I'm really liking the way Maan and Pari are bonding. The teekha teekha rishta!
When Maan and Pari were confusing the inspector, that was hilarious! 😆 It was awe-inducing the way Maan actually transformed his opinion of Pari to an almost 180-degree. Who wouldn't change their opinion about Pari after knowing her a bit? Knowing that such brave officers who are so passionate about the protection of their teams and who can to to the greatest extent to eradicate such criminals from the society, is quite a pleasant thought. It's good that Maan realised sooner rather than later that his opinion of the kind of person Pari was, was prejudiced. And the way Pari spoke so fiercely about Geet left me speechless thinking about the kind of friend she is.
"How had those two turned out to be friends anyway?"
What did he mean by this? He thought lowly of Geet again?! 😲 I'm sure he'll change the way he believes Geet to be soon.
"Phew!! I feel flushed just looking at him in that sexy black vest and tracks."
I think none of us can resist adding that to the stories we write. Not you, not me, not Onir, not Avi, none of us! 😆
I think I felt a lot of respect for Pari in this chapter for multiple reasons. For the cop she is, for the fiercely loyal friend she is, for standing up for Geet, and for the person who can accept the truth even if she doesn't like it. She accepted Maan to be a better person than she thought of him, and that is what I really liked about her. Seeing her vulnerable side for the first time made me sympathise with her. She definitely deserves much better in life than to sit alone and cry!
I respected Maan too over here. He also realised Pari wasn't the kind of woman he had believed. And I really really liked the way he put off any unwanted female attention, or flirtatious attempts coming his way, to be precise. He knows his limits and he won't cross them. At least not with everyone. He did cross his limits while accusing Geet. 🤔 But I'm glad he's having second thoughts about his first impression of Geet. And when he went ahead and tried to rest Geet's friendship towards Pari, I did slap my head. Ab Pari ke saamne jo thodi bohat image bani hai wo bhi isne khud hi bigaad di!
But come to think of it, even though his intention was initially to test Geet, he did something which is better for Pari. She needs to stay close to her family right now.
The chocking part and Maan's whack had me laughing out loud. And the coffee part was too good! 😃 Now I'll be looking forward to more of the times that these two will come face to face.
One thing that made me curious is Pari's family. Where are her real parents and why have they abandoned her?
