Part 17

Next Morning

Maan left for office. His car stopped in traffic. His eyes were on road when they caught a thing, a red thing which was across road, behind glass door. He smiled. Red light went over and he started driving toward the same thing. He stopped before a buliding, came out from car and went inside. In no time he had a packet. He caressed it, went in car and drove.

Geet was in her room when guard informed, some guests has come. She followed him and reached in hall. She saw a middle age lady with some girls , were sitting on sofa. " ji kahiye'' she asked from behind. All guests stood and turned and then Geet eyes became shiny .. she smiled looking her friends.. her family stood there, smiling back. " Geet!! '' one said and almost run to her, they hugged. They could not parted for long until they heard " toh aap Geet hai '' lady said.

All parted. Geet nodded "ji .. per aap.. ''

lady- hum savitri devi...

"Geet she is our new warden.. '' a girl said.

"ji namaste'' Geet said.

" jiti raho beta.. '' sd said smiling...

" aap baithiye na .. mai aapke liye kuch'' Geet was going to kitchen when sd stopped her.

'' I dont want anything Geet.. aap bas humaare pass baithiye''

All sat and talked while girls were looking whole mansion with big eyes. Geet introduced them to nakul. They talked for some hours when sd said they shall leave. All stood for leave. Geet went to gate along with them when sd turned and said " Geet beta.. now everything is fine .. if you want, should come back there ' '' Geet looked her. She was indeed missing her friends . Her friends forced her to come back and Geet could not deny... she nodded.

Maan was in meeting. He was listening his client but thinking something else. Again n again his mind roaming same packet and then a girl... a girl that would be owner of this special material, a special gift. Somehow meeting got over. He came out of meeting room and rushed to cabin. He was very anxious today. He sat on chair and took packet. Smiled. His mind went to her card, how she decorated that special gift for him. " I would do same'' he thought. He took a paper and drew a flower. " ab kya karu'' he dint know. He thought for minute " yeah !! '' he opened his laptop, googled " making paper flower'' he found some tips, did same. Cut shapes and then glued on packet. " not bad !! '' he smiled. " aur kya kiya tha Geet ne ?? '' he remembered she had wrote some note. He picked a small card. Wrote " To Geet'' and pasted. His deco was finished. He round checked.. " not bad !! '' he congrats himself inwardly. He looked time. It was lunch time. He took gift and rushed to km...

All guests left. Geet was happy seeing them again. She indeed wanted to meet them. She made plan to go tomorrow. She came inside and looked time. She was not sure Maan would come for lunch or not so decided to study. She took her books and went to garden. It was best place to study for her. She loved nature and always cherished, the feeling having it around. She looked for a place to read and then found wooden swing. She settled there and started with math sums. She was not understanding anything as it had been long time leaving school. Wandering what to do then recalled pinky words. "Geet !! I would help you. Just write a note what questions you are having problem and call me.. its simple na '' Geet happily started making notes and in merged deeply..

Maan reached km. He was very nervous as it was first gift from him to anyone, out of his family. He was own, amazed on his weird condition. He came out from car, took gift and directly rushed to his room. Kept packet on bed and came down to look for Geet. She was no where. He frowned. She was neither in kitchen nor her room .. " Geet kaha gayi '' he thought. He went to hall and from window, found her in garden. He relaxed. Went to her and stood behind, doing no sound. She was deep in her writing and he , was looking with a new emotion. She stuck somewhere, kept pen cap in mouth and looked up. He smiled on her gesture. She remembered, smiled and wrote. Her notes completed. She hurriedly stood and walked toward mansion, not noticed Maan was there. She took phone but hesitated, being a maid it was not good to use phone without asking Maan. She decided, when Maan would come back, she would tell him and say sorry also. She dialed pinky number. Maan followed her and stood , some far, listening her talk. She was asking some question and making fanny faces, hearing answer. In between was laughing and sometime, became quite. Maan was loving everything. He was looking her stood there, crossing arm and waited to end call and when it did.. Geet jumped in startle

"Maanji aap?? '' she asked shocked.. " aap kab aaye ?? ''

" when you were in garden Geet'' he said... '' wase what problem you were having .. show me'' he demanded. Hesitantly she showed. " hmm'' he said and signaled her to follow. They sat on swing and Maan started teaching her. She was nervous and very conscious first as she knew nothing but Maan made her calm. They became comfortable soon and then Maan gave her some question saying he has to make a call. He left. Geet looked sum, thought for a while and started writing. She became so in-merged that dint know when she changed her posture, formal to normal. She sat , keeping her leg up on swing , crossing. She kept books on her lap, and one elbow on thigh, Same palm on cheek.

Maan came back and saw her, lost in book. He sat near her and looked her pose. Maan looked her dress and imagined , his gift, how it would look on her. He smiled. " Geet.. ho gaya ? '' asked. She came back from her sum-world and showed. Maan saw and became blank.

" kya hua Maanji.. galat hai ? '' she was eager..

" nahi.. its right'' Geet smiled in happiness like she did pass some interview. They sat for a hour then Maan did his lunch and left for office thinking what he did , few hours back...

Flashback

Maan was stood. In his room, holding gift and decided to keep in Geet room. He came out from room and peeded down. There was no one in hall. He descended silently and went toward kitchen. Geet was busy. He came back and entered her room. Again n again turning back in nervousness. Finally he kept it on her table and came out, locking door behind. He looked back as no one seen him and then run to his room...

Flashback End

Maan smiled on own. He enjoyed this little naughtiness what used to do in childhood. He again chuckled and drove...

At Night

Maan was working but he could not concentrate. From office to home he was worrying about gift. He guessed after reaching home, she would say something but she dint " Geet ne dekha nahi hoga shayad'' he thought. He Was very tensed and this work was hell urgent. He wanted some fresh and his mind mesmerized , garden. Same swing where they had been in noon together, with sweet fresh smell of flowers and slightly breezing cool wind. He felt good and afresh. He thought something and stood. Took laptop and walked toward garden. On same swing, sat and started his work , and indeed, it was soothing...
