Thanks to everyone for the comments. I checked in during the day and as always, the comments added a new dimension to my thoughts and the chapter. I've been turning them over in my head all day and have generally been more stimulated by them than my actual work. So thank you :)

Sheesh in particular has offered a very interesting and different point of view. Nobody has any comments on it?

There's quite a bit I want to say to this but I can't without it seeming like the absolute truth from the writer's mouth rather than my more random musings. So I'm very much hoping that someone will offer their own comments on this.

I can say, however, that your analogy is a brilliant one and quite eye-opening too. It took two reads to fully allow your thoughts to settle in my mind and many more before I could start to think about to which point I agree, disagree or whether I'm still as conflicted as before. I'm still thinking. I'll be thinking for a while, I'm sure.

Thanks for this Sheesh. I really like it when somebody disagrees with or questions the characters or something in the story. I'm excited to see what others make of your analogy.

Failure in a relationship sometimes just says I failed to carry you through ( whatever circumstance ). Although I am sure there are other reasons, these are the questions this convo created in my mind.

What if they were mentally affected enough to act out in front of a bunch of strangers because of whatever happened? I cannot stay angry at my mummy for more than 2 minutes. 😆

I'm reminded of something Fozia said many chapters ago - these two are operating at different wavelengths. There's quite a bit of swapping around in their thought processes. (She put it a lot more eloquently).

It makes me think that maybe that's the case - that maybe they're in the same places but at different times. But reading your conversation also struck the thought that even if they are in the same place, as Sheesh said, and at the same time, what if they don't know it? These two have been operating pretty strictly on a need-to-know basis, with exceptions during extremes such as anger, hurt or inebriation. Maybe they knew each other's every changing thought very well once upon a time but now, they seem so sure that they understand one another that they haven't bothered to update their data on the other.

(I also kept my thoughts out of it because they had moved firmly into Ramble District 😆)

Oh by the way although I myself said it, the migratory stuff inspired me into thinking of another story about relationships. Since the comment was made on your thread I am seeking your blessing to think about writing that story. Yes I am lame enough to get inspired by my own ramblings.
