Something little that my small brain could grasp from this chapter is that,"Its another dream of Maan."

{If I am wrong in assuming so,then please don't read the "bakwas" below cuz it won't make any sense then,,😛 Even if my assumption is right luckily,I am sure my bakwas won't make the sense anyways...😆}

He is in the box,coffin I guess with a hole at the top, from where he could hear her but not reach her..Box has impeded his movements and efforts,,.I am unable to understand what "Box" is preventing maan from reaching geet in his real life...???It could be his professional commitments and business,i guess,,

Anyways,just when she left him,He felt himself falling down...He felt himself approaching towards his death..But It never came,instead he was out of the box...

I thought,That "fall" was needed to free him form "everything" which had held him captive till now...!!!But then i read the line where you have written,"He had simply willed it "..

So according to me,Fall as well as geet's departure was needed to make him "will to get freed"..!!!

Oh i missed an important thing..

The whisper that he heard in the box,.,"To have and to hold.."

Its a marriage vow,right???

Maan{and geet both} had it,but sadly could not hold it..!!!!!

hmm...After the fall,you brought him to a clock tower...

Is there any significance behind it..Like he was thrown to the "time".To regret his past or to make his future???.and the clock struck twelve chimes...

That means its 12'o clock..End of an hour/day/life ...and it also marks the starting of a new hour/day/ life..!!

I kind of did not understand the conversation between the lady and him, in the clock tower...

He was trying to explain her that he was tied..

And she was amused by his excuse as all he needed to break those ties was "the will to do so.."..

why did she say.."You belong in this peace. Far more than I do, in fact."

Though she had taken cham cham of her payals with her but she had left the light for him...She had lighten up a candle for him...!!!

ps-Did i make sense...🤣???

From the limited vision of his (hole in the box) he watched the world pass by with circumstances that tied him down sucking the very life from him.

until she made an appearance in his life.

to have and to hold. Marraige vows. he is yet again afraid to be tied down.

She is leaving and he spirals downward from a heights not realizing perhaps that the highs in his life were with her.

Her leaving plunges him into darkness again, the ticking of the clock reminding him that time was passing by.

Maybe making a resolution or willing himself out of the situation he escapes the ticking clock.

Someone lighting a candle for him asking him to reach in to find who he was wishing him peace giving him a place to belong.

The final message to leave people to their fates, not interfere.

Still putting it together in my head..

I swear everytime I have to say something on your updates, I feel like sombody has cast the 'Langlock' curse on me and my tongue is stuck to the roof of my mouth. I feel just like Peeves.😆

The depth of your story and your ability to convey it to perfection with your words, always gets me.

And to decipher this one, I need either a degree in Psychology or I have to be a Dream Analyst I think.😆

Here's throwing in my chavvani bhar ka gyan.

Trapped in the marriage box, he's claustorphobic. But can't or won't allow himself to get out, as he feels tied down by the marriage vows. But she is the only familiar thing in this dark claustorphobic hell hole he's built around himself, even if she is the reason for his presence in the hole. And therefore he feels fear at her approach, even as he anticipates her arrival.

Falling down could mean things are spiralling out of his control.

How could he free himself by willing it, and why end up at the clock tower. Does that mean he's decided to take control, and the clock tower could mean, it's time for a change.

Him dreaming about a ghost town and secret place that belongs to the night, could mean he is feeling lonely, perhaps abandoned, a failure with no dreams to chase and a man definitely doesn't look inside himself that often, he usually makes all kinds of excuses to justify himself. Only in the dead of the night does he sometimes admit these things to himself.

I guess finally, it means that he has found his way out and is eady for a change, but Geet still has to reach the end of her journey. However,without her there is no music in his life, does that mean he will follow her inspite knowing that she is probably not ready for change I wonder?

I don't know if my comment made any sense or it was all gibberish. And I amazed how you make me look inside myself with every update. Hmm, I dreamed of being naked once right in a public place. I wonder what that means. I swear I am not kidding.😆

That update knocked the breath out of my lungs!

Let me try to piece it together from the perspective I got from this chapter - so this box that Maan finds himself is his own mind and the way he thinks. And the claustrophobia that he feels inside his own mind is Geet's presence in his life and the way he feels compelled to maintain this relationship with her for the sake of the name 'relation'

Ties - invisible ones - were binding him down in this six sided hell.

To have and to hold? To have and to...

He sagged, the last of his energy leaving him. He understood now. There was no escape.

As Palin mentioned in her comment, these are wedding vows, no? So he realises it is their so called marriage which is slowly suffocating him, trapping him in his own mind unless he attempts to break free... or is it his paranoia, his false belief that the marriage is trapping him - if he looked at the box from a different angle rather than the bottom up view he has, maybe it could be the answer to set him free...

It feels like the mysterious woman/presence/soul is Geet, and the reason why Maan doesn't know it's her yet is because he can't recognise the real her under the hidden facade that Geet displays everyday.

It's only when he hears her anklets that he realises who she is... do I sense foreboding of a time to come in the story when Maan realises the answer to his Gehraiyan, but it may be too late...?

I love the way you wrote this chapter, it took me to a completely different world. You never fail to weave magic with your wonderful way of words.

You know what this update screams to me? It is stuff of nightmares. Imagine if you were an Olympic swimmer and somebody pushed you into a 7 feet deep lake with a stone weighing a stone chained to your legs. Only your eyes reach above the surface of water but the rest of the senses are hidden. And one dies of agonizing suffocation just imagining and imaging what could have been.

And finally a fish comes along and bites the chain freeing you from the misery. You gasp for breath and swim to the shore, cough and spurt out tons of water. To your horror you realize that your partner who was also chained with you does not know how to swim yet. How can you stand and watch? I know I couldn't.

Sorry but I cannot agree with this update or Maan or the way he is thinking or dreaming. She needs him. Her drunken ramblings have not left my mind still.
