First time I am starting a small SS on maaneet...it will be just consist of 5-6 parts and I will cont it here on the base of your replies
Prologue
While watering the plants standing in her lavish penthouse apartment in delhi on the instructions of her mother who want her daughter to learn every house chore, she was humming a soft song which was only hear able in one yard radius. Suddenly the waterpot's loosely closed lid opened up with the downward angle and the water rushed out, felling on the floor beside the rail and outside and she heard a sound
"Aye..." She looked downward to see the source of scream to find a young boy, looking up angrily white shrugging his red nylon t-shirt and shorts which were wet with the water. Few water soaked strips too were visible on his football shoes. Her facial expression quickly turned from interrogating to remorseful as she bit her tongue between her teeth.
"Can't you see?" He shouted her way.
"I am sorry" she quickly said holding her ears after leaving the pot on the floor.
"Yeah...Sorry...right...hunh" He shook his head with disappointment. "Only today this has to happened...First a fight with Mumma and now this when i have to rush for this Community football match...Instead of getting warm up, all i am feeling is chilly due to cold and now this, freaky water" He mumbled and without looking up, jogged to the other side.
Geet's eyes followed the back of this boy. He was indeed cute one. She thought smiling. "Geet!!" Her mother voice made her rushed inside.
"Yes Mom??" She said in her american accent
"Beta, Get ready before 5pm as you have to attend a birthday party on the 2nd floor..."Geet made a face hearing that as her mother continued in her soft voice caring her face "Its a kids party and the mother of the girl invited you with so much love...you should go"
"But Mom...I don't know anyone here" Geet complained making a face
"Its been two weeks Geet that we shifted from your grandfather's home to here...and if you will not go out, how do you expect to make friends?" Her mother try to make her understand
"But Mom..."Geet stomped her foot just to be cut off by her mother.
"No more discussion...I want you to be dressed elegantly till 5..." And Smriti left for her room, leaving a bad faced Geet.
Geet was wearing a black strapless netted gown which was enough to catch the eyes of 15-16 year old boys who also tried to test there luck with her but went back with fallen faces. She was used to all this in america living all her 13 year of life there. Her father Shashank Handa after marrying Smriti Handa shifted to america to handle his father's business. Geet was the only daughter and apple of there eyes but they had to return back to India after Arvind Handa passed away and Shashank has to handle the main branch of his business. They own this big mansion but Smriti was not a kind of lady to feel peace at such a big place. She wanted to be a pure house wife who wanna handle her family on her own and in her view, the bigger the house, the bigger the distances between the people living inside get. So thats why Shashank with his lil family shifted to this elite area of delhi that contain apartments.
Geet roam around trying to indulge herself in the paintings hanging around the place. She stopped in front of one black and white which caught her eye. A boy sitting cuddled up in the shape of a ball on the floor. His one hand holding his legs and the other moving out trying to read the flower also in black and white who's middle was just colored in red and was pointing out. Geet deeply observed the painting. Though she was 13 but was very matured being a friend of her parents. *SNIFF* Her trance was broken be the voice and she looked around to see the same boy from the afternoon rubbing his nose with a tissue sitting in a corner.
Geet moved towards him and taking a seat beside him said
"Hey" Maan look up at her and then turned a lil away from her.
"Hey" He replied with a irritated tone.
"You got cold?" She asked rubbing her hands that were placed in her lap in a sorry tone.
"All thanx to you and this weather" He replied rubbing his nose.
"I said i am sorry...Please" Maan look behind to see her head titled a lil with puppy look, holding her ears. He couldn't resist but smiled and turned back to sit beside her.
"You are forgiven" He said with a smile.
"Ummm...hey...I am Geet"
"Maan" Maan put forward his hand and she shook it.
"So its you who came to live on the 3rd floor?"
"Yeah...and you?" Geet asked.
"This is my house...and that stupid lil birthday girl Annie is my sister" Maan said pointing out the small girl wearing a pink frock, looking so excited.
"Hehehehe" Geet laughed at his description. "She is sweet..." She complimented.
"Yeah...so you got any friends here?" Maan asked trying to raise up a topic
"No..not yet" and with the next thought she asked. "Would you mind being my first friend here?" She looked at him with hopeful eyes.
"For sure" and smiling at each other, Maan escort her to the table around which all were gathered around to cut the cake.
And that day was the start of this beautiful, unbreakable and divine friendship.
