'Acchi'...'Acchi' who was sneezing ? Non other than Mr Maan Singh Khuraana.He has been caught by cold after spending time in rain.
He had fever too.Which was very rare.Geet was cursing herself for her foolish act .' Why she asked him to stop at dhabba ? Its she due to her all happened some body stole all tyres and unexpected rain made Maan target of changing weather '
Whole day passed even after injection and medicine Maan had high fever.Daddi Maa ,Geet , kids every one was worried.
In the day time Daddi stayed with Maan placing wet cotton dipped in cold water on Maan's forehead .But toward night it was not possible for Daddi Maa to b with him as she was heart patient and after taking medicine at nite she can't be awake for long.So Geet decided to stay with Maan
Geet made kids sleep and came in Maan's room.Then Daddi left.She had little hesitation but why he was not in his senses.Then why she was feeling hesitation ?
She changed wet cotton from his head and set next to him on one side of bed.
Geet she was continuously staring Maan...without blink...her hand automatically started to slide on Maan's cheek.
Geet :Maan why I always think u r related to me...How much I want to go away from u...U never let me go...not intentionally but any reason related to u always forced me to be with u .(tears rolled down to her cheeks)
When one drop fell on Maan's eye he felt some uneasiness .
Maan :Geet plz don leave me(he mumbles in unconsciousness and grabbed her hand)
But what he said she not heard clearly.Around 11 Geet heard some noise outside.Before she could find out somebody opened door.
Geet : Mannat...Rehaan...what r u doing here beta ? (both were standing at door)
Both had sadness in their eyes.
Rehaan : Mommi ...Papa ko abhi bhi fever hai (poor boy desired some positive answer but not )
Geet : Ji beta ur Papa has fever but he ll be all rite Mommi hai na (she grabbed him in her arms)
Mannat : Dekha Rehaan ...Mannat told u na if Mommi is here ...Maan uncle ll be alrite...(she hugged Rehaan from back)
Geet : But what r u doing here .apko to sona chahea tha..(surprised )
Mannat : Yes Mommi we were trying to sleep.But Rehaan and me were too much worried about Uncle...to Mannat ne kaha hum Mommi k pass ja kar unki help karegay to take care of him.Mannat k Papa to nahi hai per Rehaan k 'Mere PAPA Maan' thekk ho jaa-a-gay.If he is happy Mannat is happy (she started to sob)
Geet hugged both kids tightly.Kids refused to go to room. They climbed up bed and set on other side to Geet.
Geet she was also much tired.It was around 2 when Geet felt sleepy.She forced herself to be awake But within minutes she went in deep sleep.
Mannat she was examining every thing.She was just pretending that she is sleeping next to Maan but she was awake.
She got up : Mommi has been much tired .I can't awake her.But Maan uncle ki patti (wet cotton) bhi replace karni hai.(she thought) koi baat nahi Mannat kar legi
She slowly picked bowl placed on her side and started to replace cotton on his forehead.She kept on continuing this act for two hours.
Mannat found some moment in Maan.He was saying some thing but not able to understand.
Mannat : What he is saying .Pata nahi (confused)
She slide herself near to him.Grabbed his face in her hands.He was asking for water.
Mannat : U need water wait.Hum le kar aate hai (she says near to his ear)
Within minutes she came back from kitchen with glass of water having spoon in it.
Mannat : Humko pata hai Maan Uncle uth kar pani nahi pi sakte .I ll give him with spoon (she mumbles)
Lil girl tried to pour water in his mouth with spoon but failed.
Mannat : Maan uncle open ur eyes .Look I hav water (she says near to his ear)
After calling Maan's name twice at last Mannat found he tries to open his eyes.A fade image of lil girl came in front of him.His dropping fever was making him restless with weakness and stiffness in veins
Maan : Mannat what r u doing here beta (he says in feeble voice)
Mannat : Hum to yahi hai ...first try to drink water u asked for water na (without waiting for his reply lil girl placed glass on his lips)
But Maan start coughing due to which Geet got up and she was shocked to c what Mannat was doing.
Geet : Mannat beta what r u doing (she snatched glass from Mannat and rubbed Maan's back to make him comfortable )
Mannat : Humne kya kiya momi...Maan uncle asked for water so I was giving him ..u r angry on me why ? (poor child says making pitty face)
Geet : Mannat beta Mommi ne apse angry nahi hai.But u could hav asked Mommi (placing Maan's head back on pillow she said)
Mannat : Becoz u were also tired Mommi so I let u sleep
Maan was regaining his senses back.He over heard lil bit of mother daughter convo
Maan : Geet don say any thing to her (says in feeble voice) due to me u hav lots of trouble
Geet : No Maan don say this...Don talk much u need rest okey (she slipped up Maan's comforter to his chest level)
She also forced Mannat to sleep next to Rehaan on other side of Maan.She herself set on chair near to bed.Maan was just pretending to sleep.But he can feel the closeness from which he always tries to run away.One side there is Geet and on other side there is Mannat.But why now he don wanna run.He was not ready to commit he had been tired by running here and there.
Next Morning Doctor checked Maan .He was fine but due to weakness he advised bed rest for couple of days.Which was unbearable for Maan so he asked his staff to report in KM
But Geet sent every one back.Kids had three day off as there was some repair work going on at school.Maan had nothing to do.When he felt bore Daddi asked him to join them in livin area.But he was too angry on Geet and Daddi that even not spoke a single word.
Geet : Daddi yeh golgappe jaisa muh kyo bana rakha hai Maan ne (she whispers near to Daddi)
Daddi : Becoz we not let him do what he wanted this is his way to protest (she winked )
Geet : Oh such a strange way (she controlled her laughter)
Mannat and Rehaan came running to Maan
Mannat : Maan uncle u r feeling bore.
Maan : Hu (he said in low volume )
Mannat : Okey then lets play snakes and ladders (she placed board in front of him)
Rehaan placed dice on board : Lets play Papa
Maan looked at them in surprise : R u mad kids Main yeh snakes and ladders khelu ...how is this possible
Daddi : Why not Maan beta..some times these things give much happiness then any thing (she second kids)
Maan : U r impossible Daddi
How ever kids forced him to play and after some time he enjoyed to the core
Maan really became kid and when he cradle Mannat in his arms and kissed he forgot and he closed his eyes in strange kid of joy
Mannat : Maan Uncle hum Rehaan nahi Mannat hai open ur eyes (she petted Maan's cheek and Maan came back to senses)
Maan : Wo beta (he was searching words)
Mannat : Apki eyes closed thi...with mistake u took me in ur lap instead of Rehaan its okey (she freed herself )
Rehaan: So what Mannat if Papa can take me in lap why not u can go to his lap
Mannat : Becoz yeh 'Mere Papa Maan' nahi hai (she looked first toward Maan and then Rehaan with tear filled eyes .Mannat ran away from there )
Geet : I m sorry Maan I don know why she is behaving so (she was really felling shame )
Maan : Nahi Geet don be sorry...She is not wrong...I m not her father...aur shyad ban bhi na pau..If I can't change my self how can we expect from her
Daddi : Then why not u can change urself.Apko Mannat Papa keh dengi then iska meaning yeh to nahi k aap stamped ho jao gay as her father...Every one in KM and KC says me Daddi Maa...me lost nothing but gained beautiful relations (she tried to make him understand)
Maan : Daddi Maa that is other reason this is other...I can't make u understand ...(he yelled)
Daddi : Then make me understand ..humme bhi pata challe
Maan : Plz Daddi (he avoided )
Daddi : No Maan I want answer
Geet : Daddi Maa plz let it go
Daddi : No not now
Maan : Daddi Maa kyo nahi samjh rahi aap
Daddi : To samjha dejiye Maan
Maan : Daddi aap kyo nahi samjhti agar Mannat mujhe Papa kahegi to Geet ko kaise dur rakhuga main...aap kyo nahi samjhti (his tongue slips )
What he said in hurry he realized after .Daddi Maa and Geet were looking at him shocked rooted to spot and lil Rehaan crying ran away from there.This was really Maan's true thinking .Just this was reason that he was not letting Mannat say him Papa or he didn't want to loose his self made rules for himself not to lov anybody.Some where those rules those thinking was going away which Maan never expected and now he was loosing to which extent he can run
Buddies I wrote this part with much effort becoz now its time to giv turn .Where Maan revealed Geet effects him.Now lets c what ll happen.Plz hav a look comment and hit lik plz
