Feel guilty about not responding sooner and proving my feedback on four lovely updates you have provided since getting back from your vacations but things have been really brutal on the work front so much so that even the salt mines are beginning to look like a vacation spot!

Chapter 18 – Daad deti huun at Geet's confidence and the way she took charge of the situation – no histrionics; just rolled up her sleeves and crawled under the lift equipment and fixed it like a true engineer. Loved the way she shut up her dear, retarded husband, with just a few phrases "And just to remind you, I am a qualified engineer and I do not belong to any union. So if you are interested in getting this work finished should we do a test run…hmmm". At the same time ,she did not pull rank over Adi and finally, I admired the fact that she so graciously acknowledged Maan's thanks without making a big deal of it. Kya shulji hui girl-woman hai. Ha! When will Maan the khota truly notice this living, breathing, priceless woman in his life and love and cherish her as she deserves to. .

Part 19 comments:

Swimming Pool episode was hilarious. So there are cracks appearing in Mr. MS Khurana's allegedly impregnable defense! What can he do – yeh toh hona hi thah! After all, he is dealing with a tease of wife. So now the man is chup chup ke drooling over his own wife J. Kya bebas halat hai is bande ki and he refuses to acknowledge it. Kab tak aapne aap se ladoge???

Sach mein! Your dialogues are simply amazing; I am totally hooked on to them! Here is a sampling of some of Geet's irresistible comments….

"Haye….sach mein Babaji….pata nahi kiske liye itna maintain karke rakhte hain khud ko…you have a perfect choice Geet….lekin just watch dur dur se, after all he is - Mr Touch-Me-Not"

"Hey Babaji…apni bachi ki raksha karo….pata nahi is mystery Khurana ke dimaag mein kya chalta hai…"

"Mr. Khurana…yeh sach hai ki aap ka jadoo mujh pe chal gaya par mein bhi Geet hoon….kab tak bachoge…waise bhi dekhne ka license to aapko, meine khud hi diya hai…love you muaaahhh"

Chapter 20:

I think in one of your updates, you had wondered if your readers might find some of the details boring. ARE YOU KIDDING! It is these rich details of seemingly ordinary aspects of their daily lives that has drawn me into your FF. You create such believable characters with all their hopes, disappointments, desires, laughter, teasing. Zindagi ki yeh choti, choti, batein hee toh hain that makes life so interesting and fills it with so much color. Please DO NOT change your style one bit.

Beautiful parallel between the frantic struggle of the Chrysalis and Maan's inner turmoil.

Geet's continues to demonstrate remarkable maturity with which she deals with her life's events and one-sided love. Thank God that she has such a caring, fabulous family to provide her the emotional support and comfort.

Poor girl – no one remembered her birthday at the in-laws but hopefully, they will make up for it when they discover the miss! Maan had surprised her in the past with his thoughtfulness, when she least expected it. The gift of a studio, handing up "hope" in the bedroom, Holi …. I am expecting Maan to come up with a beautiful belated gift or a party or …. something that will get their relationship back to the times when there was at least easy camaraderie between them.

Her immediate and extended family are full of such warmth and unconditional love and banter…. Ritzy, I am sure these are characters drawn from your own life.

Dialogues as usual as so grounded in reality and truly memorable.

Thank you for giving us such wonderful updates.

Chapter 21:

Yaar! Itna aacha math likha karo. After each of your updates, I continue to spend hours thinking about the scene – in the shower, while walking, eating….. this is just consuming my life and there is the constant bechaini to get the next and the next update.

Lovely relationship between the siblings – and geet's parents are of course simply wonderful. I can imagine father, brother and sister rocking away to Desi Girl – one of my favorites. They are a crazy, zany family. I hope, someday, Maan will shed his reserve, love his wife insanely and feel comfortable enough to join Geet and her family in having a rollicking good time.

When Geet packed a white saree in her bag before heading off to the studio and her mom's place, I was half expecting a "Qurbaan Hua" scene but alas, leave along a QH scene, Maan did not even remember. Retard kahein Kaa! Geet don't you let him off easily and don't let him forget that he FORGOT your first birthday after marriage.

SO Geet is going to get a lovely farmhouse/cottage of her choice in the near future. – waiting for that episode.. Abhi to sirp umeed aur intezaar hai. Talking about umeed, I hope, there will be some lovely scenes in the future with Geet Maan and her hot, hot negligee but there is hope; the man did notice and drool over her black, swimsuit clad, slim body.

Maan : You are right, you oaf – you are losing a precious opportunity to love this gorjus girl instead of clinging to a ghost thanks to your misplaced insecurities. You can cherish and respect the lovely memories of your times with Poonam but buddy, you might end up missing out on a lot more precious and lasting, if you continue to cling to your past.
